WHY
It's locked to 30fps

go ahead and pull that off on your emulator if you think its so easy
Controller support is also garbage on pc
u mean objectively better than PS4 since you can use DS4's touchpad
The game holds up, the only problem I have with kb+m is that back is keyed to Backspace and that's a bitch to reach instead of something more intuitive like R. At least mouse support is pretty damn good. So far, the game holds up, just beat Waka and realized how easy it is once you know all the strats, not like it was ever a hard game to begin with...
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\OKAMI HD
keybinding.json
is it really? i hyped my girlfriend up for this too
30 fps is unplayable
Nah i mean garbage as in half the people are complaining about controller issue while others have no problem
Menus are 60fps at least...
Nah, everyone has a problem until they realize you have to go through steamapi. Only retards had that setup before this game.
It's still better than PS4 though.
yeah it's locked to 30. i bought the game with the idea to refund if it bothers me too much but a game like this is playable at 30 fps, you dont notice it as badly as in a shooter
Fuck me and my computer illiteracy. Anyone know exactly what I should change about that? I dont really know what numbers define which key
Use your logic now.
>japanese dev fucks up a PC port
wooaahhh
How far have you guys gotten?
I've just gotten to Agata Forest and beat up Waka Flocka Flame
It's surprising how easy he is once you know exactly how to beat him
Also, why does Ammy keep wagging her tail to Susano? Is she into him? Does she like fat neckbeards with chuuni fantasies? Do you think Ammy would like me?
>still better than the console ports
wooooooaaaaaahhhhhh
Luke's gone but he saved the day!!!!
Can we stop with the console vs PC shittery? Its NOT 60 FPS, it doesnt have as big a focus on FAST ACTION and it's actually fun. Why cant we just have fun with it? 30 FPS is playable and its still worth experiencing.
No matter which platform you're playing this on, I hope everyone has a wonderful time
>people play this game with a controller when mouse is perfect
no one cares what you think
Yup going to grab my copy probably later today or tommorow, this game is just so fun, swords for life
>Can use the DS4 touch pad for brushing
How's the sensitivity on it?
>not on ps4 though
hilarious honestly
apparently putting it over 30 fps fucks with the game's animations and physics since it was built around it at the time.
This shit reminds me of when people kept recommending a controller for MGR, even though everything, especially Blade Mode, is far more intuitive with a mouse
blade mode with mouse is fucking atrocious especially with the armstrong fight.
It was atrocious with the fucking analog, with mouse its actually fucking doable.
I'm more bothered by this shit than the 30 fps lock.
Pirates get fucked though, no way for them to actually play the game with controller support
Good, buy the fucking game you poorfags
Ammy is a spectral being tho. Also I think the graphics settings might introduce temporal AA which exasperates the effect. Could be wrong though.
>no way for them to actually play the game with controller support
That's not true but I won't say how :^)
Bruh, I bought it, I just wanted to play with kb+m. Dont be mean
Wait what ?
Game needs to match steamid and enter into big game mode if you wanna play with 360/ps3-4 pads
Pirates are limited to k+m since there is a protection that disables saving if you use the game's steamid, as using big screen mode + an incorrect steamid seems to have no effect on controller functionality.
Wow, that's an interesting idea
This is PC we're talking about.
There's more than 1 way to do things.
If I want to I can use my fucking gamecube controller or donkey kong bongos
Did you even read what he said?
what he said sounded like some incomprehensible illogical bullshit
theres no way it works like that
At least you admit you're a mongoloid.
Yeah. I Cant also use Nier fix because the guy dont like pirates and some mods on skyrim also dont work.oh wait i can. We pirated the game, you really think there is no workaround to use a fucking controller? lol
Analog was fine for blade mode, they just explained it terribly in game so most people were doing it "wrong".
So far pirates have found a way around this, an app manifest pre-generated or you can make one yourself, with the original .dll run by a greenluma reborn which actually connects to steam in order to authenticate the original steam_api64.dll and in turn enable big game mode, not worth it if you ask me
No problem, I"ll just go play my old PS2 original version.
No business with Valve is still the rule.
That sounds complicated and indeed not worth it
That Nier guy just released the first mod for Okami. Does a bunch of cool shit.
Made by an american team using the ps3 version as base.
Just be glad it actually works alright.
So if its locked to 30 fps anyway, any reason at all to get the PC version over the ps4 one?
Does the touchpad have any functionality?
It's not just Ammy. You can see the background NPCs have it too. Even the goddamn fence and the hill. This effect looked cool on PS2 but in translates terribly into HD.
...
>tfw not giving a shit
what's this 30fps is unplayable meme?
you need like 5 seconds to adjust your eyes to that and you don't need 60fps in most games unless it's a precision platformer or FPS or something like that.
Cinema is 24fps, is it unwatchable because of that?
60fps doesn't need to be the standard for every game and shouldn't be the only benchmark for quality
Yeah, touchpad works, don't pirate it though, as using a controller is a chore right now if you do
>salty sony kid he can't use his touch pad
If anyone was actually curious as to why it's locked to 30 fps, they said that they tried to do 60 fps and uncapped fps, but it broke game logic, collision detection, and animation speed at various points in the game. A lot of ps2 games were not coded with porting in mind, and to get it functional it'd take way longer due to essentially trial and error. At least it's a consistent 30 fps, no dips.
Mouse, touchpad or controller works.
steamcommunity.com
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + H = HUD Toggle (currently includes some non-HUD related effects)
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + G = Remove Graininess
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + B = Bloom / Blur Toggle
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S = Smoke Toggle
try this
PS4's touchpad doesn't work on console but it does on PC.
Ps4 controller is supported including its touchpad.

That's still not a good excuse though. This port is also locked to 4k, it's just lazy.
i dont need clothes or a house either, turns out life isnt worth living without them though
>cinema is 24fps
cinema is shot with motion blur
your post reads like a troll post, nobody could have actually drank the console koolaid this hard
I'm pretty sure I could just use a emulator that translates keys to controller inputs.
only for the master race
wait wut? How does that make any sense?
>Cinema is 24fps
please stop, there's a difference between sitting back and watching something and actually playing it
60fps should be the norm by now, every game benefits from having higher frame rates
but you're probably just baiting so whatever
>60fps should be the norm by now
60 fps was the norm 10 years ago. Today 144 should be the norm.
It makes perfect sense to me.
Pc gamers everyone...
>fixing this shit would cost way more than the revenue it would bring by itself, and also cause a delay in subsequent projects
I don't know, sounds like a pretty good excuse to me.
>60 fps was the norm 10 years ago
try 30. most NES games were 60 fps
Wow it looks blurry as shit.
I'm pretty happy with PCSX2 after all
I'm sure a mod will come along to fix it, or couldn't you even fuck with the capped frame rate in the ini files?

>Review: Okami HD (PS4)
>and a missed opportunity to utilise the DualShock 4's touchpad for the brush strokes
Meanwhile, works perfectly on PC if you don't want to use the vastly superior mouse input.
Only reason the game will bomb is because it's a poor port though.
I'll get it to try wacom input
Not only is it practically impossible for this port to bomb, but evidently fixing the FPS is projected to increase sales by an amount that's simply not worth the investment. They're running a business, not a charity to make wee widdle user happy.
>I'm sure a mod will come along to fix it
no, this isn't how video games work
the game logic is coded at 30hz, you can't just "fix" it, it breaks the game
john carmack solved this problem in 1999 but of course every single japanese developer is oblivious to the idea of desynchronizing the game logic
That ghosting effect is really fucking annoying
God himself fixed it and miracles don't get a repeat occurence
Fuck off. Whatever game running at 30 is an utterly unplayable piece of shit.
60 or gtfo
consider yourself lucky if you can play it at 30fps. It crashes as soon as I try to boot it.
Everyone play games with 30fps, unless PC Master Race that needs to play everything with 60fps, mods, 4k, AA and other bullshit.
PCfags are pure cancer.
Does any version of the game run at 60 fps?
You can break it. Then fix what you broke.
Most people playing games do it at 60fps you retard.
Nope.
You're forgetting the retro games fan profile playing on original consoles (not in this particular case,, but older games...).
Is it? Haven't see it in motion yet; but pictures so far have looked too sharp, missing the paper effect/filter of the original.
The fuck you laughing about? Your console controller's trackpad doesn't even work for the game on your console but works on PC.
for such an old and easy to run game, 4k 60fps should be the norm across all platforms, plus proper controller support on pc and touchpad brush strokes on ps4.
It's simply an extremely lazy port, no reason to get it when I can emulate wii/ps2 versions with 0 issues or pirate the ps3 version
You can change that in settings tho.
imagine having a low enough iq to buy a $2000 gaming pc only to play ps2 ports that are locked to 30fps
The sharpness? Good. Is there any setting that pulls the intended look?
>console child can't even read
How the fuck do you properly use the DS4 touchpad for drawing shit ? It only moves the brush, you still have to press square to drawn, while holding R1 to make the screen appear.
It's a pain in the ass if you're not left-handed.
at least he didn't buy a console that would much worse
He means the rice paper filter. If you want less or more sharpness, just emulate it. Pic related. Wii emulation has crisp image with ghosting removed, but only supports dogshit waggle controls. PS2 emulation is very blurry and has ghosting. PC/PS3/PS4 version is somewhere between the two, not so blurry but it has ghosting.
I've used steamapi a lot before. A good example is rebinding dark souls keybinds.
Amen brother
Using a mod you can remove the ghosting(it's bloom).
Wrong
The PS4 version has touchpad support
t. I've played the fucking game
Too bad that's not native
