How do you stop buying more video games than you play?

How do you stop buying more video games than you play?

You play the games.

If you're familiar with organizational tools, sort your games by finished and unfinished. Guilt yourself into finishing unfinished games before you buy new ones.

If you lack impulse control, then you don't.

The thing is I'm always worried a digital only game will drop off and so when it goes on sale, I usually end up buying it.

By being broke and playing video games.

>buying games

By not buying them.

Unfortunatley retail therepy is real OP. But i really do try to make sure i am playing 3 games at one time to completion before moving on. I am currently Dark Souls III, Resident Evil 6 and Code veronica

What is your idea of a completed game? The story? All achievements/trophies? Beat on highest difficulty? 100% complete?

I'm a neet and still buying video games. The only thing that gives me a slight high in life is seeing the next Steam sale come along.

There's literally nothing wrong with building up a large backlog of games you got cheaply on sale. Just don't go too overboard with it.

What is your limit?

Depends on how much i like it... at a minum a single un rushed playthrough of the single player on at least normal and any story DLC that came with it. For example i Just finished RE5 and both In Nightmares and desperate escape all on normal. Im pretty much done. But Revelations 2 which i finished literally bfore 5 in the same fashion i am returning to play raid mode a lot and want more teophies from harder modes

What am i looking at? Pls explain

Not him but, if the game sucks ass I just finish the story at the minimum. If it's good, I do a second playthrough with a higher difficulty. If I REALLY love it, I 100% it.

I generally reach a point where I tell myself "no more new games till I finish X, Y, Z". I only keep games I want to play in my backlog. Anything I don't enjoy but I'm stuck with owning I just forget about.

Self control and realizing that most games are trash.

pc babies are so entitled, you guys amass games on steam which you don't even technically own and the few of you that actually play games it's always a handful of MMO shit like LoL overwatch or WOW.

looks like a ROI calc for solar panels

Be poor.

I end up putting $100 psn credit on every month just for sales.

Depression is an ugly thing, and that's most likely is what making you buy games because you get a little satisfying high from it.

In reality you don't even want play video games because you really want something more meaningful then just sitting on your ass and playing games.

You gotta dig deep inside and find what's really missing in your life then filling it with video games.

All I do is play Attorney Online, which is the Sup Forums of video games. Doesn't help I play in the Sup Forums server too. Not surprisingly it has over 100 active people from Sup Forums.

>you have too many games! That's a bad things
>you have no games ecks dee! Just WOW and LOL!
Make up your mind you mongoloid.

It's all I can do in my situation. I have no friends and first thing I do when I get up is turn my ps4 on.
