Hi guys, So it's my birthday and I'm going to buy a game for my Switch. Can anyone advise whether I should get: Splatoon 2 Xenoblade 2 Skyrim (Dont even have an excuse to be honest, sorry) Fast RMX
I have looked into all these games and I do think I'd enjoy them all but Im having trouble choosing. Would love to hear from anyone who feels strongly in favour or against any specific games.
Jeremiah Rogers
Spla2n.

If you already did your research and still has some doubts then you don't really need any of them

I'm really digging Xenoblade 2. And it's definitely keep you occupied until you can get another game for it, took me 6 hours and 11 minutes to complete what felt like "the tutorial"
Grayson Baker
Another vote for xenoblade 2, plenty of good content.

If you want to play with your friends, splatoon no good. You just can't fucking do it it's awful. Mechanically the games great but imagine every match hoping you don't get shitters.
Skyrim is for pc. If I can't go on adventures with ayane while momiji cleans the house and cooks a big dinner to welcome us back, I don't fucking want to play it.
I don't know what the fuck fast xm is, so that leaves xenoblade 2. Go with that

If you a;ready got wahoo and zelda, xenoblade 2 is the third Must Get one, if you like JRPGs, takahashi games about sci fantasy worlds and GOD and shit.

Splatoon if you're into multiplayer squid-kid simulators with a constant flow of free updates. Great fun if you're the type of person for it. I'm not a fan of it though, but it is a highly praised game.
I'd skip RMX unless you've got an F-zero craving, otherwise MK8 is top for racing.
Skyrim is Skyrim, but portable. I have no excuse either, fucking love this amateur-mechanic riddled game and have clocked 25 hours between work on school on the Switch version. You know what you're getting into with it.
Xenoblade 2 is also tons of fun, but for its demographic. Beginning is a slow start, but by the time you have a full party, it really gets going and the combat goes from "it's pretty alright" to "Give me those THICC damage numbers combo-bois". If you're into a streamlined MMO-like combat system with Poké-waifus/husbandos and racking up huge damage outputs like Disgaea, this is a great choice. It's a JRPG, so hours of content, and a story to take you through it that's pretty decent so far.

It's more like I want them all but am limited to picking one right now.

I'm feeling your passion for Xenoblade 2 and based on the input from , and and yourself Im definitely leaning that way now.

Xenoblade 2 is getting a patch that fixes alot of issues 12/22
So maybe wait for that if you get Xenoblade2
Thomas Sanders
Would I really have that bad an experience if I started now, given the likely long length of the game?
Josiah Ramirez
Naw I still enjoyed it, but having the map accessible in 1 button and patch fixes are great additions to have.
Liam Collins
I think I could deal with the issues for a few days. Thanks.

Its really not that bad. Its a bit frustrating to get used to but it hasnt been a big problem for me, I'm 15 hours in. I definitely recommend xenoblade 2, it does make sense that people say its niche. It can be grindy in an autistic min max way but grinding isnt necessary, game has anime tier interactions, motives, and logic (in an often enjoyable but sometimes stale way for me), and the game just has a lot of different shit in terms of mechanics, combat, customization, how you play the game, etc. They werent afraid of taking risks or trying new things, which I really appreciate, even if some of those choices are kind of obtuse.

You already played Skyrim, buy a new game instead. Xenoblade was rushed and has DLCs, buy the complete edition when it come out instead. I'll go with Splatoon 2 if I was you, you can find it for $40 and also get Fast RMX.

Splatoon 2>Xenoblade 2>Skyrim>Fast RMX

I'm probably going to go with Xenoblade 2. Thanks to everyone for your help :) By all means lets keep discussing good switch games.

9 parchments is actually a ton of fun, it's easy to pick up, so if you frequently have friends to local coop with that game can get pretty hectic, it's like Diablo but you can actually MOVE AND CAST as a wizard so I'm having a shitload of fun with it.
Xenoblade has such beautiful environments I find myself constantly playing it just to see what crazy shit is next. I love this game.
Nolan Sanchez
Good shout, I hadnt even heard of this one til I looked it up there. Looks interesting.
Jonathan Morris
YEAH splatoon 2 is not even a question.
Tyler Jenkins
It's my birthday too. Happy birthday, user.
Jonathan Bell
:3 Happy birthday.

Would anybody suggest either Rime or I Am Setsuna?
Rime almost looks like Ico meets Wind Waker, while I Am Setsuna looks like classic Final Fantasy.
