that's what you get for falling for the PC meme
>tfw got the money back which I spend on my 1080 after half a year through mining
Thinly veiled nonvidya threads are not videogames.
why not just not buy top end components? you need to run two instances of 4k skyrim so you can jerk off to your waifu's?
It's the midrange GPUs that are being hit the hardest. GTX 1070s are routinely sold for as much as 1080s now.
>Sup Forums NEETs are all millionaires or multi-millionaires thanks to crypto
>Sup Forums NEETs are still poorfags
videogames does that for ya
For years, people wanted to track down and find the people responsible for causing price increases...then they moved in.
buying into this meme
Is it too late to invest in BTC?
It's FAR too late to invest. Right now Bitcoin is in mainstream media for it's artificial spike in price. Which is causing dumb investors to invest even more money into it, when there was already a ridiculous sized bubble.
>normies discover bitcoin
>start using it as a get money rich scheme
>now that the silk road is dead literally nobody is using the coin as currency, only as an investment
>mfw the bubble inevitably bursts for good and all these retards lose their savings
>mfw all these "investors" will sell top-end components for dirt cheap trying to make money because they have no use for the 1080'S
Jokes on you, the GTX 1080ti I bought had such a terribly bang for your buck that minders didn't touch it.
>wait till crash
>btc crashes
>buy gpu's for dirt cheap when miners are forced to sell out
>Tfw I once had 50 Bitcoin and sold it to buy a computer because I never saw it going anywhere
will they delete /biz/ after the bubble bursts?
the whole board is literally nothing but people scamming others into buying crypto
No, but it's very very risky. If you want to be save wait for the crash and then buy.
plenty of other sites popped up in silkroads place
Bitcoin is not going to crash. I hope you understand this. This is reaching 500k USD by this time next year. Literally invest in this now if you want to be a millionaire by 2019.
The real question is: will Bitcoin's inevitable crash bring down the rest of the economy with it? This is almost as ridiculous as the "tulip craze."
/biz/ is the most useless board on Sup Forums, all the threads there are the exact fucking same
>It's too big to fail!
>Buying worn out cards
Retard
You dumb faggot. This already is the 4th buttcoin bubble. Fucking queer.
>silkroad is dead
Multiple markets have taken its place.
I love how mad kikes get over bitcoin.
Are people actually rich or "rich"?
Do they have real money on them or its all in coin?
Will it crash by January? I need a dirt cheap 1080.
>will Bitcoin's inevitable crash bring down the rest of the economy with it?
no
but it will bring a tsunami of pink wojaks
>it's a an underaged faggot doesn't understand crypto episode
I wouldn't be asking if I understood, genius.
1080s and 1080tis are relatively unaffected. I had planned on getting a 1070 this summer but I just got a 1080 instead since it was within $50 of the best 1070 I could find.
It was either that or stop playing vidya on my PC until AMD pushed out their miner-focused cards they plan on doing, which is at least a year away if not more.
But what's the % of people that are using it to buy drugs instead of just waiting for the numbers to become bigger? Only a few hundred of the million users use it as a utility, everyone else just wants to be DiCaprio in that one movie.
Bitcoin as a currency is so shit that Steam had to pull out its support for it. The transaction fees alone are ridiculous.
>Money is going up, so it's always going to go up!
I really hope you're just trying to scam me into buying BTC and you're not just that dumb, user. Good investments need to have a purpose for it, like a company or a new moneymaking service. Bitcoin is literally just the cyber tulip, like said.
Spend $12000 now then cash out when it's $20000 by the end of the year.
You think that’s bad, look at RAM prices since last June. Up at least 100% because of fucking phones.
All the markets have extremely low caps on daily transfers so no one can cash out big and crash it. You can't withdraw more than ~$2k per day. It would take years to cash out.
Fees are high because there’s a gorillion transactiona since all alt coins are buoyed against it too
wait until people dont sell them thinking they'll increase, and then the market crashes.
In order to take out an economy, there would have to be billions invested. Since companies are more likely to farm Bitcoins than buy them, that isn't very likely.
Only 2k per day? Oh no, how am I supposed to survive of off that?
>start cashing out
>crashes halfway through
>millions turn into dust
>what you managed to cash out already might be less than your buy in
>millions turn into dust
It was never millions to begin with. Your bitcoin isn't valued at the highest it's ever been, it's valued at what you cash it out for.
Why the fuck did BTC spiral out of control anyway? I can see its potential as a currency, but as an investment it has no intrinsic value. How the fuck did it blow itself up to the proportions that mainstream media and governments are getting scared?
>buying in at any price in the last year
If you bought crypto in the last year you already messed up. The time to buy was 2014 after the last bubble burst. The next time will be then this one bursts.
Isn't the point of creating a new currency to NOT cash out? You're supposed to be using the new currency as cash instead of investing in it to convert it to the inferior currency
jealous retard
Not remotely true. I use coinfloor and have sold 100k+ bong worth in one go. I've saw people sell millions on it aswell.
After the inevitable crash it'll be valued at nothing. The trade caps prevent anyone from cashing out quickly so it's likely that you won't be able to in time.
Yes, it is, but until i can directly buy groceries, pay rent, etc with BTC, I'm probably going to need to cash out at some point.
The current bubble is because people see it like a stock and are just trading for profit.
While that would make sense, this bubble keeps rising, with no real support.
Newer investors are just being fleeced while people sitting on coins have no choice but to sell.
I've seen posts exactly like yours over and over again for the last 5 years.
So what would the investment market for crypto look like if EVERYONE was using it as an everyday currency?
except you can't actually use any of it
>730k/yr
It does have intrinsic value, just not at the numbers it's currently valued at. You can use bitcoin to semi-anonymously buy contraband over the internet and you can use it to transfer money overseas with minimal fees (compared to traditional means). Both of these services are real and there is a demand for them. The thing is the demand for them is mostly inelastic, so the only reason bitcoin would go up in value is if
>more people are using bitcoin to do them
or
>people who own bitcoin suspect more people are going to use bitcoin for them in the future and the potential for future profit selling your coins drives up the price now
It's a classic bubble and it will pop. Remember, bitcoin was stable at 400ish for two years.
capitalists want money, and encourage boom/busts in order to make more money
regular people get roped in in order to play the slot machine and lose money, which helps the people at the top make more money
inb4 I'm called a "marxist" for labeling predatory investors as capitalists
Massive. If credit card companies and insurers became involved, the people that became rich quick, would be billionaires.
If people were using it as it was intended, there wouldn't be an investment market.
>EVERYONE
There's a hard cap of 21 million bitcoin, with 7 billion people to fight over it.
I literally can not wait until bitcoin bursts and you retards lose all your money.
It's going to be so fucking glorious, Don't worry, I'll pay to drink your tears.
I'm just salty I didn't pay attention five years ago when you told me to buy and now it's too late.
You would've cashed out a year ago when you saw it hit $1000 and start to dip.
If you want to be a pink wojak, go ahead and invest.
Says you, I'm a crypto millionaire.
Yes but I don't buy drugs
I just bought 10usd of BTC just because I want to meme. I wonder when this bubble will crash
The point is to have a currency with a banking system that's ran by its public. No middlemen who borrow your money while they hold on to it for you, the transaction ledgers are all publicly accessible and verifiable by anyone with a computer.
This. Everyone that still owns BTC from when it was $7 was just too lazy to cash out. Saying that, I know a guy that has 80,000 minimum stashed up from when we were trading that shit on Sup Forums/r/ as "thanks" for answering requests...
Where do you buy anyway?
coinbase. But as a currency bitcoin is shit at doing the basics
Fun fact: 2 pizzas worth of bitcoin from 2010 would be valued at over 120 million USD today.
>tfw bought a bunch of bitcon way back in 2013 but had no idea what I was doing or how it worked
>site I traded on vanished
>no idea how to get access to what I had
>site has a class action lawsuit that they all started claiming on a year ago but I'm too late to get involved in.
Whelp.
Isn't your wallet just an encryption key?
And 2017 2 pizzas are worth 0 bitcoin because no one will buy a pizza using bitcoin
How much money did you invest, user? You can at least try to get tax credit.
Most bitcoin transactions are for drugs. It's useful for that reason alone.
I don't have any of the login details (including encryption key) and the hard drive I was using died last year so I'm pretty sure I have no way of ever getting any of that back.
Yeah, but some "wallet managers" deal with that for you, so if you don't take the information down yourself, your shit's gone if they disappear.
I think about $500. I mostly bought bitcoin but also was trading in worldcoin and litecoins as a sort of daily hobby to build up btc without risking a lot.
I sort of fell out of it and totally forgot about it though until everyone started hyping it up this week. I wasn't really bothered about losing what I invested, and now I can't even remember the site I used so I had to really dig into like 5 year old emails so there's a bunch of info missing.
pretty sure this is what happened. It MAY have been Cryptsy.
Where even accepts bitcoin? I haven't ever actually bothered looking into it ever since I lost my wallet 5 years ago
what's worse?
never getting into bitcoin, or getting into bitcoin really early and having hundreds of them but selling them and making maybe a few hundred bucks or even a few thousand dollars, but knowing if you held onto them to today, you'd be a millionaire?
The latter probably
Fix Venezuela, and you'll get rid of some miners.
euronews.com
so why I can't mine manually? I'm really good at math, just give me a pencil, a piece of paper and I'm all set. I can resolve math problems really fast.
You have to solve 7 billion equations per minute per day for about 5 weeks just to get 1/100000000th of a bitcoin.
Heh, pencil and paper.
yeah mustard race BTFO xD
It's no problem, I watch Rick and Morty
go back to /biz/ with your pyramid scheme bullshit
It's a currency with very low inflation. For that reason alone, people will invest in it.
So you're no stranger to wasting your time. Sounds perfect for you.
I remember someone buying pizza with bitcoin. I bet they hung them self. I hope the future is bitcoin so we can essentially print money.
>buying pizza with bitcoin. I bet they hung them self.
You mean one of the pioneers who managed to make bitcoin famous and are responsible for it being so highly valued in the first palce?
I've got a pretty good machine how do I start mining? Just leave me computer on whenever I'm out with a program runnning
or whatever?
>DUDE IT'S THE BEST THING EVER INVEST EVERYONE IS GETTING RICH!
>/biz/ is chock full of people crying how they lost their life savings by falling for bitcoin
You don't understand what a pyramid scheme actually is.
cope.
I know I am for selling before rebuying later, I should be at $200k by now
how many have you actually managed to sell, user?
How many times can you buy and sell a day?
As many times as you want
>It's a /biz/ discovers other boards episode
