>Shoot human enemy in the head
>it isn't a 1 hit kill
fallout is stupid
>Shoot human enemy in the head
>it isn't a 1 hit kill
fallout is stupid
It's a RPG with some shooter features, not a shooter with some RPG features.
>blast an enemy point blank in the face with a high powered shotgun or sniper rifle
>forget dying they don't even get their head crippled
fallout is STUPID
>.22
>shoot enemy in the head
>it decapitates them and makes them very angry and aggressive
4 is a shooter with RPG features and it still does the same thing. What now smart guy
lol 9mm
>shoot enemy in the head
>it has a 50% chance to miss
Technically speaking it is actually possible to survive a gunshot to the head
>Shoot human enemy in the foot 10 times
>They die
All games are stupid.
IRL headshots aren't usually one shot kills either, one shot kills are lungs/heart.
If anything it's more realistic.
this as well
will we ever get realistic aiming and organ piercing?
how about
>enemy takes a bullet or several to the torso or face
>continues to shoot at you like nothing has happened
Heart I can understand, but how is a punctured lung a one-shot kill?
Also as for the realism, see
Well, at least you can mod it not to be stupid.
>Light enemy on fire
>They still attack you instead of running off screaming
>MGS V
>high calibre sniper rifle round
>stopped by a helmet
i recently got fallout 4 for 10 bucks and i am playing it for the first time because i thought i couldn't possibly be worse than skyrim which was an enjoyable game before you notice how shallow everything is. aside from all the other stuff that they fucked up there is one thing that really pisses me off right now: Why is everything so fucking bright and why doesn't this AAA game have a simple fucking gamma slider? i don't think i have seen another game without a build-in way to adjust the brightness in a least a decade
I want to keep Robert House alive, as well as he can be kept, and unimpeded in improving that situation (approaching somewhat-immortality) as far as morally as possible, with ZERO crimes against nature or humanity, life, concious-thought.
I do not want Mr. House in sole charge or even any inherent power. I believe he should work with other educated people in the wastes like anyone else trying to improve the Earth.
I essentially want to oversee his work on "saving humanty" and make as much of it public knowledge as possible.
I want to unite all the world by concious, pure (untampered as much as is truly extant [which I hope is wholey-achievable]), individual choice. I will proceed in this spirit.
*So I am nonviolent inherently I guess, but can violence as needed well enough for me and mine. How do I most align my
>vanilla, console
>I am sans-pc not by choice
>no dlc
>FNV
run with this?*
I want to hold onto the power I have because it was insane the way I got it, and don't yet know a more trustworthy way of keeping it from misuse. House is too direct and indirect with his "leadership" (as presented ingame) in exactly the opposite ways of what would be beneficial, or trustworthy from any perspective I have viewed that wasn't his.
If I was Mr. Robert House, CEO of RobCo, I would be publically smoozing (socializing, even slightly tackily) in a remote operated (and obviously so?) artificial body, like a Protectotron on up to the most advanced models (barring Robobrains of course); function would guide the form as well as technical-common-sense. I would try to live among the real people, rich and poor. I figure not so hard with p0tentialy a virtually-indestructible (and repairable/replacable) drone to interact with the world with.
>human enemy 10 levels above you
>headshot
what happens?
>So I submit some things now in what has become a p0ssibly drug-fueled rant/ramble.
If I am/are/was Mr. Robert House, CEO of RobCo. I would be a member of the community because it seems to be possible. I would be maybe indisguise as various electronic entities at least, but only possibly. I would only really need to be in one body at once. I would not be so disjoined from reality as he is. And I WOULD definitely have some sort of lucidity/insanity test for myself to put me in a safe isolation until I was cured/dead. I wouldn't ransom the world for/with my knowledge.
I would be much more cooperative with the various elements of my world, not just more aware of them. I would not be a spy network of peering cameras beyond what is morally my property (the Lucky 38, and a few other structures of that size or less) not all of New Vegas, Las Vegas, Lost Vegas, Nevada, and so on. As territorial-ownership is likely to flux (or shift, change hands) until the majority of sentient-sapient-mentally sound, among the Humans, Androids, Synth, many marvelous-mechanical-minded RobCo models even many existing Robobrains†AS WELL as mutants/subsects thereof and even permanently stranded Non-Natives [ETs mentioned here truly and also as a show of inclusiveness-intent] are able to freely communicate.
†I would release all information [barring (re)creation] pertaining to Robobrains to any sources printing news as far as I can. They're situation is as lamentable as the ghouls in some ways, but they can possibly capitalize on their situation positively and reliably and find happiness even as they are (I think synth bodies can be made to work with the existing brains, and fully copying over is of course possible too. I would have an especial need to help the robobrains that are sentient, or able to return to it.
you can mod the graphics to fix them
try survival mode it makes things pretty fresh. makes it feel like an actual post apocalypse shooter
if it's a human with no helmet or metal skull it should kill them
>go to end game level area
>shoot guys with a shitty sniper rifle from afar
>game is now boring because too strong
congrats, you ruined the fun
I played New Vegas with a mod that made all headshots lethal and it made the game boring and easy as fuck.
in endgame fallout area people are either in power armor or you're fighting super mutants and creatures.
Name 5 ludos, 13 movieplays, 8 interactive musicals and 12 viewmaster disks where this happens.
>you can mod the graphics to fix them
yeah i found a fix, it just baffles me that such a basic feature isn't in the game to begin with, even skyrim had a gamma slider.
I will give survival mode a try, i thought i could get some enjoyment out of finishing the story on regular difficulty before starting over on survival like i did on the other games but the story and characters aren't really doing it for me aside from Valentine. Can i safely ignore the settlement stuff because that shit got boring really fast and i only use it to generate a steady amount of caps right now
Borderlands 2
I believe that Vegas can be a meeting of minds who want to keep striving forward. With the Platinum Chip, if I was Mr. House, I would keep it secured as a free city for the first and foremost elevation of the quality of all life, including protecting its various incarnations. Space travel and colonization is logically still the highest of priorities but approached humanely and openly.
I have time to do things right, if I am Mr. House.
I would bar the construction of new sentients without cause (a desire to not see concious thought perish could be a reason). Intelligences I created are my children, my family. Individual choice, agency IS life. So I would not allow more to be created without altruism in mind, even if my accedence to cooperation only allows me to heavily plead my case upon the ears of councils. I will implore concious entities to treat each other as inherent equals.
If I was Mr. House, I would basically be have a drone-proxy I, possibly publicly, interact with the world through instead of first relying on envoys.
>if you have not guessed
Had me wondering if a so-called Synth has ever been known to be VR drone controlled, from like a lounger/pod.
In the meantime, how can I, within the gameplay possibilities,
>including alledged "cheesing"
>ala reverse-pickpocketing
>etc
keep House alive but control the course of the area myself for awhile.
Fuck you, Benny.
I could be, uneededly summised, as wanting to take the most cooperative-able routes without killing Mr. House (but I won't leave tracks for a train, if that's the only way to keep it from hitting me). I am logically suspicious I will learn much about many entities true nature as I take direct control and become aware of the truth for myself. I mean, I honestly feel I must keep my hand on the platinum-rudder [turn of phrase] for a bit considering the implications its use(s) and my logical lack of trust in anyone-I've-been-presented-so-far's intent to truly respect indivdual rights.
I wouldn't trust most of them with an unkillable dog or some cactus.
I believe all those capable of communicating with one another must strive to and unite against the real enemy.
The radiation obviously mutated the average human and gave them thicker skulls. I mean, it would make sense that evolution would happen faster with radiation, and that humans through natural selection would weed out the people with thin skulls, with all the guns and violence in the wasteland. Vault humans might also be GMOed.
If I shot you 10 times in the foot you would actually die in real life, you'd have a hole sized wound in your foot, and your veins and arteries would be wide open, you'd bleed unconscious in 10 seconds.
>if their attack connects it ignites you too
