Sup Forums sings A Red Apple Fell From The Sky/Discovery Of Gravitation

Sup Forums still has NOT settled on a day or week to meet at an undecided location. You’re all making her sad.

When's the last day? Location should be Auldnoir

Oh shit i almost forgot
twitter.com/GravRushCentral/status/937442936169664512

The idea was to upload a bunch of photos in the Auldnoir courtyard and in the first island in JPL.
I just don't know what would be a good time to do it.

Bump fuck

The guy who runs Gravity Rush Central has been trying to organise something, but sad fact of the matter is that not enough people care about GR to make a difference.

It still just strikes me as utterly bizarre that Sony would fund a sequel to a niche game like GR2 to begin with and then basically kill all Western sales of it by not even advertising the fucking thing outside of Japan.

wait whats GR

That's good that those guys are trying to actually save the servers, but we should do something fun like uploading a shit load of photos in a single area so there will be a visible stampede of blue Kats.

Does the GRCentral guy browse Sup Forums?

Pretty sure he does, since he said something about Spikat once.

white kat for everyone when!

>kill all Western sales of it by not even advertising the fucking thing outside of Japan

They killed all western sales the second they made weeb shit.

>since he said something about Spikat once.
When?

Overtly Japanese games can still do well when sufficiently promoted. Even this year, Persona 5, Nioh and Nier Automata did very well in the West.

>Even this year, Persona 5, Nioh and Nier Automata did very well in the West.

No they didn't. They sold a couple of a million copies globally. Those are laughable figures by western standards.

>Sony doesn't bother to promote GR enough, because it thinks it wont sell that much
>Meanwhile, a bunch of other japanese games ended up selling well and being popular this year
It's like EA's "single player games can't succeed", but with japanese games instead.

Yeah, yeah, go back and play LoL now, grown-ups are talking.

Let's just do it in fucking Auldnoir and PLJ the final day.

No amount of hashtags is going to safe the online component, only sales will.

>grown-ups are talking

Waifufags are grown-ups? Is that supposed to be a joke?

I seriously cannot believe just how much Sony cucked GR2, their own first party game. At the PSX show there was zero GR footage in the montage sequences, yet Persona and Nier footage made it in. I cannot believe that Shawn remembered GR2 and it was the last game he said when they were listing the good 2017 games.
Yeah I get, GR2 ain't no Call of Duty or Uncharted, but Jesus Christ Sony... You really couldn't have just thrown in the minute and a half long E3 2016 GR2 trailer into your actual conference?

>GR2 didn't show up at the VGA's, but Law-FUCKING-BREAKERS DID

The Tomorrow Children got more promotion in the West than GR2 did. Utterly baffling.

>got a ps4 last month
>still not enough money to buy GR2 because it's at full price all the time

I'm willing to pay the $40, but I'm not going to get all the costumes, am I?

If you start soon, you should have enough time. It's like 2 weeks or even less.

I've been playing every day for the past week and I've only seen like 3 blue kats, and only had one of my photos rated once

...

I might get it before Christmas, there's hope.

he could at last start a campaign for everyone who played before january to get white kat free at least that is possible keeping the servers up is not

You need GR1 to get those costumes, and you had to preorder it on Gamestop to get White Kat.

I am pretty sure I saw it at 40 bucks on the PSN store. Just buy it there, you can get the 2Kat (one of the best costumes IMO) and Dark Angel ones for free. Oh, and a Phantast Star Online one, too. The ones you unlock via Dusty coins may become available to all, or maybe doing challenges will let you get Dusty coins. I recall that getting Dusty coins over the summer was way easier than at launch. You could get upwards of 15 dusty coins for a fucking treasure hunt.

It surprises me because I thought the game did well on Vita. Perhaps Sony thought they spent too much money on it as it was? I am unaware of the game's budget, but in scale 2 has like 2.5 or 3 times the content 1 has.

>It surprises me because I thought the game did well on Vita
GR1 on Vita outsold both GRR and GR2.

>but sad fact of the matter is that not enough people care about GR to make a difference.
But Gravity Rush is so cool and unique...
It's not fucking fair...

>waah sony didnt pay attention gr2 waah
its almost as if the game was a massive step down to the first game or something

The gameplay was better in every way.

i'm sure the 200 people who give a shit are going to be traumatized, but nobody else is going to care

Almost, because it isn't. I wonder what's the actual reason, though.

stay delusional. GR2 is the biggest disappointment of 2017

Explain yourself. I literally do not understand your reasoning besides the worse controls.

Best OST of the year, imo

youtube.com/watch?v=nRNAW2QBlGU
youtube.com/watch?v=B_w_jrfMLSg

shitty camera
shitty stealth missions
shitty combat
runs like shit.
they LITERALLY did absolutely nothing to take advantage of the ps4s hardware other than make the maps bigger which just makes it a chore to travel to places. this still feels like a handheld game NOT a console game.

I think a lot of people got GR1 because it was one of the only original games the Vita had, and the gameplay mechanic was new and interesting. I wonder how many people who bought it actually enjoyed it and finished it.

I want to marry and impregnate Kat

>shitty stealth missions
This is the only one of those that does not apply to GR1. I don't know what you want from a "console game" since the gimmick of the Vita and the PSP was always console quality games on a handheld.

Speaking of OST, this remix came out yesterday:
youtube.com/watch?v=fE1n2BPBN-A

>this delusion
fucking kek. did you even play the game you dumb faggot nigger?

how long is GR 1 & 2? do they disappoint in any way? i'm looking for new ps4 games to play

Her sewer bacteria infested vagina would melt your dick off.

1 is like 8 hours long, buy the remaster and see yourself, it's too different to explain if it's worth playing to you.

Original's about 10 hours long and 15 or so if you wanna 100% it. Sequel's about 30 to finish the main story and 50-60 to 100% it, with a free DLC mini-campaign that'll take you about 3 hours.

>instead of making a coherent post he just screeches more
Where did I say GR2 didn't have bad parts? You act like GR1 was some masterpiece while whining about 2 which did nothing but expand on what was in the first game.

>This game was released for Vita, but occupies a slightly weird place as it is made in Japan, with unique controls and in a toon art style, but it is not a “moe” game. I feel like recent Western titles are polarized into super AAA titles and indie games, but the Gravity Rush series is a game right around the middle of the two. By the way, I go out to drink with the director Keiichiro Toyama once in a while but the only image I have of him is him being drunk, and I can’t help but think “how can a title like this come from a person like him?”

>In Japan, the release date was very close to Danganronpa V3 and it’s actually a game that I was very conscious about. The directions of the two games are different, but I think that both Danganronpa and Gravity Rush have a very Japanese-like game system. It takes a while to get used to the game, but once you get the hang of it, it feels so good to play. It has a slightly high hurdle, but I believe that you need a little bit of a hurdle for entertainment, this gives a good impression. Another fun fact, I also go drinking with the director, Toyama, but we always end up losing our memories, too.

listen dumbass, GR1 is a new ip those problems are common in new ips. GR2 is a fucking sequel i expect those problems to be fixed but they fucking werent.

Why bother everyone hates Gravity Rush and it's the worst game ever made according to Sup Forums, same as Nier Automata

I'm okay with something like this where we do the picture quests all one day or something. I'm not big on saving the online. Just saying good bye together would be nice. Maybe we can all post the picture we took in a thread all day.

GR2 definitely ain't perfect, but it's still really enjoyable. The new powers are excellent and flying around is even more fun. Even though GR:R has the 60 fps, GR2 has all the new powers for more traversal options making it hard to go back to the more simple first game.
Also the combat is way better and more interesting in GR2 IMO

Damn vee always making my games look bad

thanks

What would you have them do? It's not like they have any other games like this to look at for ideas. I can't think of any solutions that don't involve radically changing the gameplay or dumbing it down.

Every problem was fixed.
If 30fps is an issue to you, you actually need to grow up from Sup Forums memes

Going back to it will just make me sad

Is this worth buying a Vita or PS4 for?

Fucking Kalo breaking everyones houses n shit
where's kat when you need her

Not that guy but personally I wish GR2 had been closer to the small scale of the first game. It was cool to play around in a world that was so much bigger than in GR1 but after a while it just became to chore to get around, unless you used fast travel but that kinda defeats the point. Same thing for the length of the game, the 10-15 hours of the first one was perfect, but by the time I hit the 30 hour mark in the second game I was getting really sick of the combat and some of the gameplay. If they do a third one I hope they dial things back a bit.

I want to play Kat's sequel but I don't want to spend $250 for just 1 game. I already did that for Vita and I regret it.

I just started 2 after finishing up 1. Please tell me it answers all the questions and plot points 1 just fucking left dangling like a tease, because 5 hours in I'm not really getting a good feeling about that.

You'll get there, just keep going and don't stop playing after a certain part where some idiots stopped playing

There's a lot of games coming out or available, user. Bloodborne, Ace Combat 7, Persona 5... uh, among others. Point here it's that you probably won't be spending $250 for a game.

some things get explained in 2 and some don't
GR2 actually introduces some new things that don't make much sense and don't get explained

What part was that? I just finished the game recently and don't really remember anything that made me want to stop playing the mission where you get Jupiter style was pretty bad though

good riddance

Haven't gotten GR2 yet, is there anything I would be missing out on?

GR2 just wasn't different enough from the first one to stop it from being repetitive. You don't even get lunar style until a good part through the game, there really is no variation from the first one at beginning to get you hooked in. The missions are either too long or too boring, having literal where waldo objectives or bullshit "sneaking" missions. Also the talismen were stupid attempt at adding some looting mechanics. The whole thing just lacked anything to make it a fresh experience, but on the other hand it wasn't really a step backwards from the first one.

I have no intention of stopping. Its just that I was enjoying the first game just fine despite its flaws, but the ending answering pretty much nothing was like a kick in the teeth.
Fuck

A lot of people stopped before the missions with the golden glowing girl

I don't think the quest even shows up unless you talk to certain people.

You forgot the shit story.

How many Dusty Tokens will I need to unlock everything?

Why can't Raven save the servers like she saved the children of the ark?

6000 which you can get in a week or less depending on how much you play or if you join the farming group.

I have an idea to save the Servers.

In the endgame you can get enough tokens in like 2 days, 4 hours of play each day. Just have a kat good enough to beat most other people in challenges

5000, I think. Just check in the stats menu.

You get lunar on fucking episode 9, that's pretty early on. Some missions may drag out a bit, especially ones when you get new abilities, but other than that they're fine length-wise. Stealth sections are few and limited, and Jirga Para Lhao is different enough from Hekesville to hook returning players. Add to that the fucking fantastic score, great visuals and art style, and you've got me hooked.

Legitimate criticism can stem from the combat, the way that the camera gets in the way during combat at times, and the less-intutive controls when compared to the Vita. But even then, I don't see how it is possible to dislike the game so much in terms of scale. I love how lengthy it is, I love the different environments you explore, I love the way Kat is and how she interacts with people, I love the fucking platforming, and I like the grandness of the story when compared to the first. Not everything has to be answered, some things are better left in speculation. Makes it more fun that way.

It's overpriced, I'm not buying a game whose online will be shut down in a month, and GR1 is too expensive for how old it is. Waste of money, plus I am playing better games already and have more lined up.

The game was a perfect sequel if you enjoyed the first. 30fps was hard to adjust to after the remaster though.

I wish they explored what the Council was and added more to the military base though, maybe explain what the mainland is too (Maybe it was just Hekseville, even). They forgot what jirgha was and all of it's characters too early in the story.

1 is cheap, though

Fuck, is that amazon? I might get it, I NEED a physical copy.

Australian EB games.

why?

What's this farming group and how do I join it?
I only just finished the jirga arc and am back in the city from the first game. How autistically am I going to have to grind? I have the work outfit unlocked already.

The online is really a very minor part of the game as a whole, don't let that be the reason you don't buy it.

Yeah! Just slow down time! Perfect!

Oh, fuck off

I'm surprised we have it so cheap in Australia when we usually get screwed over. Looks pretty easy to get a copy, though

ebay.com.au/itm/Gravity-Rush-Playstation-Sony-Ps4-New-Remastered-PS-4-Game-Sealed/142602931782?hash=item2133cc0e46:g:GokAAOSws6ZaHKng

I still haven't played the games yet but I want to. I'll probably miss out on the online stuff though.

It answers a bunch of small questions while also introducing big ones. None of it matters because Kat kills herself and becomes god.

Aussie Amazon has it for $20 as well.

amazon.com.au/Sony-Interactive-Entertainment-Gravity-Rush/dp/B0773QMJ13/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513218248&sr=8-1&keywords=Gravity rush

I began playing GR2 like on the 4th of December, and got to the second chapter by the 9th I think (Where you can start getting tokens). I've been playing it on and off and have put 10 hours into it since Saturday, and I've already got 2000 tokens.

As long as you do the treasure hunts, challenges, and rate photos you should be able to get it before long. There's literally no reason to not accept challenges, not send out challenges (even shit ones) and not rate photos. All of those things give you dusty tokens no matter what.

Gravity Rush 2 had an online mode? I beat the single player but never bothered online.

>They killed all western sales the second they made weeb shit.
Imagine actually believing in something like this.

Its cheap everywhere except America, it was Amazon exclusive there
