ITT: 10/10 characters stuck in 0/10 games
ITT: 10/10 characters stuck in 0/10 games
THAT'S IT!
I'VE COME UP WITH A NEW RECIPE
Sully needs his own game
come on, XV wasn't that bad.
It's like 5/10 at launch and 6.5/10 after these fixes
Although XV is more like a 7/10 imo
>uncharted 1
>oh shit sully noo you're dead
>uncharted 3
>FUCK YOU TLABOT I'M GOING TO FUCKING MURHEDER YOY AAAAAA
I don't get it
>Brownosing manservant
>Good
was Episode Ignis good? Please dont spoil me. Just talk around it. It seems like Episode Prompto was also good but I am waiting for the PC release to try out the game.
I found him pretty boring. Prompto was annoying as shit though.
I liked XV.
Fuck me it's a crime we don't get Iggy with his hair like this with the casual outift.
No character in that game is a 10/10.
I hear people say its the best out of all the episode dlc, which honestly isn't saying much. Its still 3 - 5 hours long which is nothing for how much it costs imo.
I did like play as Iggy because he's a little more flexible than Noctis, but like everyone else there's only so much you can do with the combat.
In terms of story, I'm not gonna spoil, but I liked the alternate idea that they introduced better than what was in the base game even though it doesn't really fit that well.
For me:
Episode Ignis
Episode Prompto
Episode Gladio (I'm mad about this one for several reasons).
...
I hear it's very good actually.
Square has actually added a fuck-ton of content to the game, I'll probably play it again soon enough. It was enjoyable despite it's flaws, definitely helped that I wasn't hyped for it at all.
Wanting to fuck its cloaca does't make it a 10/10 character.
Master Chief
literally every character from the Noire game
Are they going to make more DLC after this?
Yes. Episode Ardyn, Episode Luna, and one more episode, I think Episode Aranea?
yes, SE said they will make more DLC for 2018
FFXV is the red-headed stepchild of the FF series. He's been through a lot and had a rough upbringing, but just wants to be loved in the end. It's hard to hate that much.
A second round just got announced a couple of months ago and more details were revealed last month.
Ardyn won the poll so he'll be getting a DLC and Luna too I think. We won't know if there are gonna be other little stuff like there had been over the past year until they come out because they won't be doing ATRs anymore.
...
>It's hard to hate that much.
10 years of development and still have to shell out for DLC to flesh out the story? No thanks
Plus the buggy mutliplayer DLC (for a fucking mainline FF game that is not a MMO) with loading screens on par with pre-patch Bloodborne
and VR fishing? The fuck?
This game is so far off from the initial vision. It's like they just moved off to one corner of the entire plan and then pumped it full of random technological demos that loosely fit.
>Naughty Dog
>"We're going to make an Uncharted spin-off! Who do we use?"
>"Oh, I know! How about the incredibly likable and fan favorite Sully? His backstory has a lot of potential and setting the game in the 70's (or whatever) could be very interesting!"
>"Yeah but Chloe and Nadine need a chance to SLAAAAAAAAY QUEEN!"
>This game is so far off from the initial vision
as in base XV or back when this was versusXIII?
NO BULLY
>Fuck me it's a crime we don't get Iggy with his hair like this with the casual outift.
I hated that so fucking much:
>Description even says "let his hair down"
>Assume it'll be him with no glasses and his hair looking much fucking better down
>It's just his second outfit from the game, without gloves
Exactly. He looks good with his hair down, I wanted that.
Not No Gloves and 500 pairs of glasses.
It's better than the other DLC, but still fairly flawed. From a gameplay perspective, it's the same deal as Noctis (just hold O and press square when told), but story wise it's better. Also, it includes an alternate ending for the main game.
>smart idea from SJWs
Never ever
...
I always fucking hated his regular hairstyle. It just doesn't look good. With his hair down and no glasses, he's literately the most attractive out of the bros (n-no homo...)
god why did XV have to suck
I want to play this shit again but I want to go through it with all the DLC. Should I just wait another year?
Thoughts on the "good" ending of FFXV? It's silly, obvious fan service and while I hated XV, I'll admit it brought a smile to my face.
He still doesn't do anything other than fawn over Noctis and sacrifice his sight because of the Chosen King bullshit.
What the fuck hes fucking HOT like this WHAT THE FUCK....... DADDY!!!!!!!!
Have they added anything non-episode wise to the game that makes it worth playing after you've beat it? NG+ isn't my style, bullet sponges aren't fun
I just noticed he looks like geralt
>Episode Ignis
>Ravus attacks him
>Starts to walk over to him
>Takes his hat off and places it on a soldier's head like it's a coat hanger
Ardyn was wasted in this game.
I like the pomadour better than his normal hairstyle. I wonder what made him decide to do it that way anyway.
I liked it better than the one with Luna.
There have been various updates, still no hardmode.
Watch them on YouTube. They're not worth the price.
Oh yeah, for sure. I didn't say it was perfect.
It's a fucking waste. With his hair like that, he's even better looking than older Noctis.
>an alternate ending for the main game.
spoil me, user
>Takes his hat off and places it on a soldier's head like it's a coat hanger
I chucked a bit at that.
Ardyn overall was way more sinister in this DLC. I liked it.
Came here to post this
...
Why did he have a different accent from the rest of the people in the world?
Was he just an asshole?
...
>From a gameplay perspective, it's the same deal as Noctis (just hold O and press square when told),
isn't that the same of the other DLCs?
Done. Ill just watch that shit tonight and retire that game.
See Noctis lives.
:^)
Nobility in Lucis tend to have British English accents while the commoners don't. Gladio and Noctis are the exceptions to this despite being nobility. Noctis has the excuse, from Tabata, that he went to public school and was generally around common folk when he was younger. Gladio and Iris currently have no such excuses.
Though it's probably gonna be the same as Noctis if the question was ever gonna be asked.
Maybe revisit it next year. Personally, I like XV so I'm happy to replay it.
>any of the abhorrent ff13 characters
>good
Ignis is like one of the 2 least asshole-ish characters in the game.
>Ignis goes along with Ardyn and "joins him"
>Takes Ignis to Niflheim where the crystal is
>Ardyn reveals his backstory to him
>They fight
>Ardyn gets legitimately shocked when Ignis pulls out the ring (one of the few times he's not being sarcastic and actually seems concerned)
>Ignis puts on the ring and fights him
>Power of the ring runs out
>Ignis agrees to sacrifice his life to stop Ardyn
>You got full power and fight Ardyn as Ignis
>Ignis wins and I'm not 100% sure, but I think he manages to destroy a lot of Ardyn's power in the process
>Ignis is dying, but Noctis and co get to him
>Noctis puts the ring on and by using the crystal, saves Ignis and cures what would be his in that timeline
>Noctis goes into the crystal
>This time, the bros seem prepared for his disappearance and set this up better this time
>Noctis comes back and while they're walking to the Citadel where Ardyn is in Insomnia, all seem better prepared
>They fight him for the final time together by the looks of it
>Ravus is there and gives Noctis his father's sword (Ravus got them all to Niflheim to save Ignis in time FYI)
>The light is restored and Ardyn is gone
>Noctis is now king and Ignis can see
he deserved better, bros
Basically the English localizers thought he need one to seem more "smart" and "serious". In the Japanese version, he's just stoic. It's yet another problem with the game's (mis)translation.
Pretty much.
wow, so they decided to ruin the ending of ffxv, one of the few good things about the game?
Based on all the trailers from Versus from 2006-2013, its really not much like what was shown aside from warp
It's just an alternate. You can still have the original play if you choose to fight back against Ardyn.
Different strokes for different folks.
>Akechi
>anything short of dogshit
I know Fujoshits liked him, but I didn't think anyone who actually played the game cared about him
>ing and Ignis can see
lol it makes no sense
>P5
>0/10 game
11/10 character stuck in a 10/10 game
you're right it's not even a game.
it's a 100 hour long tutorial on how to die of boredom
I wouldn't be surprised if it was the original good ending that they had to cut due to time constraints.
He used the crystal to (somehow) save Ignis from dying and healed his eye wounds.
>DADDY
I don't think you understand how to use this word
>wow, so they decided to ruin the ending of ffxv, one of the few good things about the game?
what part of that was good? Besides the "you're the best" part of the bromance?
...
I'll never stop being mad at Yakuza 6
and Noctis also (somehow) doesn't have to die this time around
quality storytelling
i cant even remember the reason noctis had to die in the end of ffxv. it just kinda happened.
PUBG or Call of Duty seems like more of your type of game user
I could swear he was stuck in a prison instead.
Because it was, for some bullshit reason, the only way to stop the starscourge.
In other words they wanted an emotional ending that was totally unearned and nonsensical.
something about using his soul to trap what's-his-face's soul so he wouldn't resurrect? I can't remember either
>(somehow)
It's because Ignis put on the ring ans was gonna sacrifice himself to save Noct. Not saying that it was a good resolution but that is the answer.
I bet it was.
Because Bahamut said so. "Many have sacrificed all for the King, so the King must sacrifice himself for all."
It's the only way they could think of to evoke an emotional response. Like with type-0. And once again he had to insert a completely useless cutscene right after to make things ambiguous because he can't even commit to an ending.
The entire plot of the game can be summarized into "because the Astrals said so". Hell, as flawed as XIII was at least the main characters weren't gonna take that kind of bullshit from their version of gods.
I think it's because Ignis managed to weaken Ardyn enough because when you see him after that fight, he's permanently in his demon form with the fucked up face instead.
I wouldn't be surprised if the original ending was like the bad ending if you didn't build up enough of a relationship with people or something.
I legit think FFXV is the worst thing to happen to gaming.
why?
Before he turned around I was 100% excepting for it still to be 28 year old Ravus. I was pleasantly surprised.
>"because the Astrals said so"
Pretty much. Ardyn's whole jist is that he got fucked "because the Astrals said so".
That's why I can get on board a bit better with the alternate ending, Noctis doesn't die just because the Gods say that he had to.
Just wait for P5 Crimson user i'm sure he'll be back.
Nah, it's the worst thing to happen to Final Fantasy (along with XIII).
...
This. XIII is bad, but now we have to deal with SE trying to pander to normie westerners again.
And chopping up the (already bad) story into bits in order to sell DLC and movies and shit.
I'm just exaggerating, but for real though, FFXV being disastrous really harms the japanese gaming industry.
If FFXV turned out to be 10/10 and revolutionary, it would have influenced game design for generations, as with previous FF titles, namely 4, 6, 7, and 10.
But because of how FFXV turned out, more and more people will just turn their backs on JRPGs and Japanese gaming as a whole.
Final Fantasy honestly defines the JRPG genre and a large reason why JRPGs were popular on the SNES, PS1, and PS2. It isn't a coincidence that when FF13 released, JRPGs pretty much died.
spoil me
Is it okay to say XV had good characters? Or are we still pretending the game had absolutely zero redeeming qualities?
Are you by chance, a woman(born with a vagina)?
He was good up until the tweest, then he became a boring psychopath with daddy issues. GodDAMN was he stylish as a party member though, what a waste. Would have kept him in the party even after learning he was evil honestly, didn't give a rat's ass about Haru.
it has good main characters yes (except luna), the side characters may as well not exist
>Or are we still pretending the game had absolutely zero redeeming qualities?
I don't think any FFXV hates believe this. I do think, however, that the positive qualities FFXV does have doesn't make it any better than a 0/10 game. Good characters and comfy isn't enough to make a game fun.
