So there's supposed leaked information regarding Bad Company 3. Says something about avoiding Star Wars Battlefront 2 microtransactions. Supposed to be revealed at E3.
Fuck, man. I don't want EA to mess this up. DISCUSS.

theyre going to fuck it up
you shouldn't be excited
you should be wary
not just because they will attempt to gauge your wallet out the ass, but also because they admitted not knowing why BC1/2 were so good in the eyes of the players, and as far as I know, all the talent behind those games (in terms of gameplay/ design at least) have left the company already
That's a fucking shame. Just by hearing about this leak, a lot of me was already thinking "it just won't be the same." Worse off is that the game is supposed to be set in the Vietnam war, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
They only specified Cold War. Since they already had an entire expansion for Vietnam it'll probably focus on other places.
battlefield has been shit for a long time, what are you excited for
Like, I realize the end of BC2 ended with a Red invasion which was then supposed to follow through on the multiplayer maps, but I'd like to see the story continue with what they would do afterwards.
Ea has dropped any type of story or narrative so this is bound to be soulless shit
If they used a contemporary setting there's not really much more they can do in terms of weapons and vehicles that they haven't already covered in BF3 and 4, the 70's and 80's are a fucking gold mine for weird dsigns though.
The game needs to pick up where the last one left off. It should open with Bad Company fighting/shooting in AT&T Stadium. That would be cool as fuck.
>loved BC1, 2, and then BF3 and 4, especially post-patch 4
>thought both neo-battlefronts and BF1 were unredeemable pieces of shit
meh
if there's anything i learned from battlefront 2015, halo 4, and mass effect andromeda, it's that attaching a great license to something doesn't automatically mean it'll be good
i'll give the beta a go, and then buy from a keyseller if i like it and there's no issue with microtransactions or a bad progression system like battlefront 2 had. otherwise, i'll be giving it a miss.
i won't mind cosmetic microtransactions if and only if they get rid of the "PREMIUM" bullshit and give all maps for free. halo 5 and OW did it right. battlefront 2 and rainbow six did not.
is bf4 still alive on PC? been awhile since i played.
What exactly is the point of make a BC sequel? I mean BC2 was fucking amazing, yes. But what about it is so different aside from the singleplayer (which not much people play) from the main series games?
Without the single player campaign, the game would be nothing more than just another Battlefield game. That's what REALLY worries me about the leaked details in which it didn't detail anything about a single player campaign.
Dunno man, they killed medal of honor by going modern shit which was saturated as fuck with COD and something else battlefield : battlefield - battlefield. What can battlefield do now ? random "airdrop" boxes ?
>BF1 is unredeemable
>he doens't understand the pure undiluted joy of destroying people with the Cavalry Lever Action on hardcore servers
say what you want about the rest of the game (you might be right) but this fact alone is what makes the game fucking fun in my opinion.
nowhere near an 8/10 even, but goddamn nothing comes close to being that fun for me
I'm willing to bet five sollarydoos that BC3 will feature a battle royale game mode.
Nothing is different in the rest of the game. But BC1 and 2 are the best single player portions of any war fps in the past couple decades. People want another single player BC story.
> Battlefield in Wargame: Airland battle setting
I'd play that. But it is EA.
i wouldnt even have an issue with a nice controlling battle royale game. Everything available now has shit controls that feel clunky
>anons actually believe that EA learned their lesson with Battlefront 2
They're gonna try the same shit with this and if it doesnt work theyll just shut down DICE, which is fine by me since nu-DICE has no idea what theyre doing anymore
>nu-DICE
Supposedly this is being devleoped by DICE LA who were responsible for saving Battlefield 4, there's a faint glimmer of hope.
>But BC1 and 2 are the best single player portions of any war fps in the past couple decades
what? they were the same as every other dice single player, absolute shit... please be joking, those campaigns were hot trash.
I found the first one to be funny as fuck but the second one was generic garbage.
But what does make BC2 so good though?
most seem to allude to the singleplayer, which doesn't make sense to me cause you play a BF game for the multiplayer experience.
So what is it?
Single player campaign is a big reason I loved the game so much. Besides that, it was about one of the most solid BF games in that iteration as far as multiplayer goes.
The multiplayer is enjoyable. It resides in a sweet spot where the gameplay and the speed of gameplay is just right.
