last number of my post shows you the best
Pretty accurate
That scene didn't make a lot of sense to me. Can't he just teleport everywhere anyway?
Yes.
>best class and skill system
>best gameplay
>best villains
>Bartz is a superchad with his own harem
9 is shit, check this
>>Bartz is a superchad with his own harem
This
Well, well, well
A FUCKING SPLINTER
pretty accurate
is it 6?
Yeah
Does he know where the cave was?
But then he wouldn't get to stick his wood in a little girl.
It's the most fun to play at least.
The job system is simple but rewarding, everything is fast paced, the dungeons are short, there's not a lot of cutscenes and still just enough story to keep you interested
It would be if it wasn't for two glaring flaws, the first being
>no Literally Perfect Goddess
and the second being
>no Literally Perfect Goddess
Now I realize that that is essentially the same point repeated but I thought it was so obvious it was worth saying twice
>he actually likes Lightning
Opinion discarded.
yea
"BURRP" morty I turned myself into tiny splinter
I'M TINY SPLINTER!
>FFV thread
Finally. What's everyone favorite class? Mystic Knight is amazing.
Yes and one of the best JRPGs ever. Best and deepest party building of almost any JRPG, decent challenge, tons of replayability, great pacing, fun story and characters that do not take themselves too seriously. It is a damn near perfect game.
Who is Faris?
BLUE
You meme'd wrong, you should have opened the thread with "Was it kino?"
>waifufags have bad taste
wow, shocking
>Instead of making an actual FF thread OP should've made another of the same meme thread that everyone's already sick of hiding
It's great, without a doubt. Probably not the best.
The GBA English translation is fucking cancerous garbage, though.
That's the joke.
>cute princess
>big sister tomboy pirate
>loli
Literally the perfect cast of girls in a vidya.
lvl5 death is so satisfying
It does get too pun happy for my taste but its a major step up from the ps1.
you are correct
Is FFV one of the funniest games ever made? I ppayed it shortly after the Depression that is VI, and cracked up several times.
I TURNED MYSELF INTO A TINY SPLINTER, BARTZ! *burps* I'M SPLINTER EXDEEEAAATH!
>Ex-Death
>BUTTS
Are they for real with this shit?
Get rekt by my max freelancer hue
yeah
Third best for me, but Bartz best main character. And holy shit the stoey is fun (as in, you'll laugh a lot).
Shrug. 6 is overrated though and everyone except nostalgiababies agrees
butz is gay m8s
It's a comedy
no, it's just a bit amusing
Reminder that the Dressphere system is superior to the job system in every way. They took a good system and made it more dynamic.
Jokes are supposed to be funny user.
BOOM BIG REVEAL
STICKY FINGERS
ninja lenna is with double twin moons is pure olev
...
Which version of ff5 should i play?
explain
GBA
it's, in my opinion, definitely the most fun one.
Loved the part where the party first encounters ex-death, before he merged the two worlds.
Bartz said something like "We'll stop your evil plans!"
Exdeath answers "Do you even know my plan?"
Bartz "Nope, but we'll stop you anyway".
The game felt very tongue-in-cheek, absolutely love it
lotta babbs itt who only know the gba script
Gay for Faris.
...
Gba with snes sound patch on mGBA emulator.
snes with translation patch
Faris is genuinely the best girl in the entire franchise.
This
Everybody shits on Thief but I got them for the Four Job Fiesta and they kicked ass
-running on the map
-100% flee rate
-no surprise attacks
-can steal cool shit
I TURNED MYSELF INTO A SPLINTER GALUFF
I'M SPLINTER EXDEATH
only until he finds out she's a girl
Wait, does original Japanese version differs THAT much besides name of mc? Can you name some of the biggest differences in dialogue/plot/etc?
You can change jobs during battle. But you can't just change arbitrarily. You place the jobs on the nodes of a grid, and can only move between edges of the grid.
Thieves are shit in all GBA nes games.
The PC remaster of the GBA version.
It is.
>Ex-Death
It's supposed to be Exodus, but they messed up.
You can change jobs in battle.
>X-Death
Y Burn
I'm not sure, but i think they remove the dancer girls in the later version, and maybe the scene where they see Faris's big ass boobs
...
12 is the best in the series desu
its hard for me to enjoy 5, because the jobs are so exploitable its silly
with each crystal you get new combos that annihilate all challenge, and even infinite healing is possible in a variety of different ways--to be clear there are additional tricks that you can do with alchemy that don't even appear in any faq on the internet
which means you're left with only a few fights where you either need to know the gimmick, or what will kill you in one hit, or you need to know that its a damage check
positives
-level X effect works on bosses, including doom
-it was amazing when it came out, yes im that old
-I like some of the boss designs, the fire ship was particularly exciting when it was a new concept
-galufs world is mercifully short
>It's the most fun to play at least.
>The job system is simple but rewarding, everything is fast paced, the dungeons are short, there's not a lot of cutscenes and still just enough story to keep you interested
I think this definitely sums up how I feel about FF5. No it didn't have the most amazing deep story or intricate designs or whatever, a lot of it was pretty whacky. But shit was it just such pure fun. No low points, plenty of mechanics and crazy stuff to play with, just a great ride beginning to end. The balance between elements was good. I don't think I could call it "best" necessarily but I still love it.
6 has Tina, Celes, and Gogo.
X-2 was extremely fucking bad and the dress spheres were lame and disappointing
one of toriyama's many disasters
...
>but i think they remove the dancer girls in the later version
They're still there in the GBA version.
>the scene where they see Faris's big ass boobs
Not in the GBA version, but I don't think this was in the SNES one either.
Enough expository banter! Now, we fight like men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men! For Gilgamesh... IT IS MORPHING TIME!
The only thing I dislike about FFV is how different the "canon" and the ingame designs are for some characters like Faris or Lenna, while FF4 and 6 remained pretty faithful to the original concepts.
Too bad it's stuck in a shitty game.
Gilgamesh is definitely one of if not the best sub-boss in FF ever and had top tier music too.

I feel dirty for laughing at this.
that concept art is awful though
>being this pleb
Time Mage and Chemist are great
Beastmaster is also surprisingly fun
It embraced the sillyness and it's great
Galuf doesn't get enough recognition.
there's very few problems that can't be solved by breaking a rod
>when you finally understand what the chemist is really capable of
I disagree, on multiple counts, but regardless of how you feel about the implementation and rest of the game I think the mechanic of "dynamic jobs but the switching is tactically limited in ways you have to plan out ahead of time" has a lot going for it and is a genuine improvement over traditional job systems. To really bring it out would take a lot more thinking about enemies and a more diverse character set and such, but I'm sorry it didn't get experimented with more in JRPGs in general.
The true patrician rating incoming:
12>6>tactics=5>Vagrant Story>7>10>11>8>9>11>14>dirge of cerberus>>>>>power gap>>>>>shit>>>>piss>>>>your mother>>>>>>>type-0>15>3>1>mystic quest>2>4>crisis core>x-2>13-3>13-2>13
If you disagree then you are faggot and pleb and should kill your self right fucking now.
Don't worry, i did too
>shitting on Amano's artworks
how does it feel like to have such a horrible taste?
honestly fuck you, i'd fight you in real life if i ever met you you plebian cunt
How is that game? Is it worth buying?
To be honest, while Amano's concept art is fantastic, if the game designers followed them to the letter then every character in the game would look the same - a white-haired bishounen.
I disagree on several counts, but thank you for at least putting IV that low. What a pile of ridiculously overrated garbage. Worst game in the first dozen easily.
FFV was one of my first JRPGs (and first FF) and I was pretty shocked when they killed off Galuf.
I didn't even think they could do something like that to you.
