Only if it gets enough attention, and it's entirely possible that it won't. Persona 5 managed to get skipped over in almost every category of the Game Awards it got nominated in, and that game was a breakout hit for Atlus. MHW needs to be at least Dark Souls tier for popularity to stand a chance.

If enough normies buy it, we might see it win some GotY awards. It's got all the dumb co-op stuff that those types eat the fuck up, so they're bound to create some great memories and get all emotionally motivated about everything.

Jesus christ user, it's called inverse kinematics and it's how they make walking animations match up with varied terrain. If you've ever seen a videogame character climb stairs in a proper way in real time, it's that system that's doing it. It's capable of modifying the animation slightly to make it look better and more functional. If you could see her feet, you would understand.

take it from a veteran hunter. the demos really make the game seem different from what it really is. You'll think every weapon is great and you'll want to use them all but in reality, that would take a fuckton of grinding if you wanted to keep them all up to date and useful for the current hunt. you'll only really use about 5 weapons at most. usually switching back and forth between your 3 top weapons

Different user, but the grind is the game. One of the reasons I always like sword and shield is that you need to optimize element/status effects, so you get to make a whole ton of different weapons and use them without feeling like you're wasting your time.

Can't say no to Kirin, Barioth, Narga and Zinogre armour.

I think anyone would have realized they were doing something wrong after 2 minutes of failing to do any damage because all they're doing is spamming the weapon transform button.

I don't mind grind but after a while it just feels like it isn't worth it just to upgrade every weapon. I know a small group of hunters like to grind until the cows come home but most just stick to a handful of weapons. I usually want to see what the next monster I have to beat is and that's usually what pushes me forward after upgrading a weapon or two
