Good, maybe they will start making good games then. After Disney bought Star Wars, The Force Awakens became the best SW movie to date.

Sup Forums is too young to remember the golden days of 10/10 tie-in games.

I remember, this was my first Genesis game.

yeah maybe in the 90s. disney is going for the big dogs now

You wish OP. All they bought today was Fox. Now Ike will allow x-men.

What the fuck isn't a subsidiary of Disney these days?

>People actually believe this

SNES game was better.

>b-but SNES didn't even have a sword

Who gives a shit about the sword when it was barely functional? Platforming sucks as well and it's often hard to tell the foreground from the background. Washed out colors. Nothing good about Genesis Aladdin.

Rey is a better protagonist than Luke ever was. He was pathetic and sucked at everything.

american companies everyone

you just had to make it a console war thread huh

There is no other option.

>SNES game was better
>genesis was barely functional
>hard to tell the foreground from the background
>WASHED OUT COLORS
Found the actual fucking retard.

THIS

maybe antitrust laws will kick in?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I mean Disney owns LucasFilm,Marvel,Pixar and Fox.
Why would they buy someting as weak as sega?

I Think they might buy Square-Enix, EA or Capcom.

I dont think they will ever buy nintendo or sony

Sonic faggot again hoping for a sonic revival

Take your autism meds

I wouldn't be surprised, honestly. Disney and SEGA have had a history tangoing together (Sonic was in Wreck it Ralph, and SEGA has displayed their technology at EPCOT many times through the years). I could even see SEGA teaming up with Disney to make a "Sonic Land" somewhere to compete against Nintendo Land at Universal.

And being good at everything is any better? Its bland fucking boring to someone not have to persevere. You don't know what good writing is.

>I could even see SEGA teaming up with Disney to make a "Sonic Land" somewhere to compete against Nintendo Land at Universal.
I shouldn't want this, but I do.

Disney will never buy a videogame company

This, if they ever bought any gaming company it would be SE since they already work together with Kingdom Hearts so the connection is already there.
This won't happen anytime soon though since the current Disney strategy for its IPs is to license them to publishers.

cringe

They should buy sony

this is only cringe because they are ugly

seeing sonic with mickey mouse feels like something right out of a china bootleg

>I dont think they will ever buy nintendo or sony
Nintendo wouldn't take it just like how they immediately shut down MS. Sony is in a lot of debt despite the PS4'similar success so there's a chance albeit small.

yeah, well, I ate Reeses for breakfast.

Disney has no money for buy sony, and even if they do, sony won't accept

I still have this

Rogue one was better

>Disney has no money for buy sony
You have no idea how big the mouse is.

>still eating sugary shit for breakfast
12 year old detected.

how cute are you?

Disney is literally one of the biggest companies on the entire planet.

Pretty sure the CEO of Disney is one of the top 20 richest people in the world.

I dont htink it would be enough honestly. Sonic's lost most of hi love in japan and even now his brand is a bit sketchy in recognision. Id suggest using various sega characters like raystar and knights but those franchises have fallen in such disrepair that I dont know if they even could. Would be cool to see an echo the dolphin themed water ride though.

Why would Disney have the want or need for Sony exactly? Other than the Spider-Man film rights, what would Disney gain? Funimation?

>Scenery is themed to Green Hill
>It's a Launching Roller Coaster where you go through Green Hills loops and corkscrews, while chasing down Dr. Eggman or something
Think like Big Grizzly Mountain or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but with inversions. Could fit into EPCOT where you enter the land through SEGAs video game technology, and into Sonics world, where examples of innovation in video games (like SEGAs Blast Processing) is dotted around Sonic themed rides.

Not video games.

Believe it or not Sony themselves have a lot of squandered IPs in both movies and games. On top of that it would allow them to break into tech.

its called a character arc dumbass. He starts as a week teenage idiot who sucks at everything and grows to become a fucking badass
unlike rey who’s just good at everything

>cropping your cap

Fate GO

>Sonic's lost most of hi love in japan
That's implying Sonic ever had popularity in Japan to begin with

This is not a video game where you level up. It's dumb how Luke is constantly protected by plot armor because he sucks so much that he should die several times during the movie. At least Rey actually has talent and is believable that she goes through the hardships by her own strength.

Well there is the technology aspect. Disney branded phones, televisions, cameras, robotics, etc. Then the Disney-Sony PlayStation that will attract dozens when they stamp Zootopia characters on the box. It would be a beautiful shit show to say the least.

And insurance.

And what hardships does Rey go through?

Look disneyfags, Sony is 3 or more times bigger than Disney, are you guys retarded?

What does disney even own anyway?
huh...Zootopia? dont make me laugh

Maybe Sony Animation wouldn't be so trash.

Please tell me you aren't being serious

(you)

>Sony is 3 or more times bigger than Disney,
Disney is 8 or more times wealthier than Sony.

Disney game console when? They will save videogames pure ludo

Okay Sup Forums, easy yes/no answer. If Disney acquired Sega Sammy (the one who actually controls Sega Japan and also Atlus), would Sega/Atlus still be extremely anal about releasing their games on PC?

Constantly getting attacked by Sith and Imperials.

Don't forget since Sony owns a monopoly on anime distribution, Disney would immediately gain access to the weebs and anime enthusiasts alike. The flood gates would be open for them big time in Japan.

What will happen to PS if Disney boughts Sony?

Who -doesn't- go through that in the Star Wars universe?

>platforming sucks
lol mario 3 around the world

go to bed, JJ

>Green Hill scenery
Sonicfags will be beyond pissed. They hate Green Hill at this point.

Disney would whip them in shape like they did with EA. Time is money, and we need to feed the mouse.

Probably not Disney isn't as anal as Atlus.

Only other choice for something as big as a theme park is Chemical Plant Zone.

Actually, having the roller coaster section be indoors like Space Mountain, and themed to Chemical Plant would be pretty cool.
>Glowing factory lights all around
>Twisting about on the blue/yellow pipelines
>All while a glowing pink floor is down below, where the ride vehicles would occasionally splash against like some roller coasters tend to do

Dunno. It would probably be a KH machine again. We'd probably see more kid friendly stuff, and Marvel games would be plenty.

>implying we wouldn't see the return of real games

Fucking Disney.

Not even knowing the reference. Good shit outing yourself, kiddo.

Sega has some reasonably valuable IPs if I recall. Imagine the cartoons.

Remember a few years ago when they announced they'd be "branching out and using their IPs in a variety of media"?

Me neither.

Disney owning Marvel,Lucasfilm,Pixar or FOX doesn't mean shit either.

Sony is one of the biggest companies in the world, if not the most.

Disney is not that huge, FOX will be the last disney buy.

Despite being weak they still have a solid family friendly IP library and a shitton of devs laying around from their former glory days. Plus SEGA is arguably the cheapest major gaming company there is at $3B. Square Enix for comparison is $6B.

It would be more of the same with probably less cinematic shit. Disney went to Sony begging to turn Spider-Man into a cinematic experience. They approached Sony and asked to treat the property like you would any of your top AAA titles, and Sony complied.

But I'd love if they brought back some Disney platformers like in the 90's.

>Fox will be the last Disney buy

Give it a few years, and they WILL buy a vidya company for the delicious IPs.

My bets are on either Nintendo, Sega, EA, Squeenix, or Capcom.

>Sony is one of the biggest companies in the world, if not the most.
Please tell me you're joking, this isn't the 90s. Sony is only worth about $50B which is what they paid for Fox. Granted, that was a HUGE purchase and they're not going to make another one of that scale anytime soon but it's totally possible.

Let 'em have EA. Taste of their own medicine.

>FOX will be the last disney buy.
Kek. I heard they've had their eyes on Universal for a while. Not sure if the Supreme Court would halt it or not. Probably.

Nintendo would refuse. I think it would be a disaster if Disney owned Nintendo.

>Disney went to Sony begging to turn Spider-Man into a cinematic experience.
user, Disney has nothing to do with Spider-Man being cinematic trash.

I don't think Comcast would want to give it up, they bought them for a reason. As a matter of fact they're still trying to expand their media operations, they were going to make an offer for Fox before Disney swooped in and they were looking at buying TimeWarner too.

>this is how delusional and retarded sonybabs are

>Nintendo
Dude, if they turned down Microsoft they're going to turn down Disney.

Nintendo is a publically traded company, right? What's preventing Disney from buying shares slowly over-time and hold majority ownership through a hostile takeover like Vivendi is doing with Ubisoft right now?

How's worth Disney anyway?

Disney, Marvel. Same shit different name.
>15:07
m.youtube.com/watch?v=wdWt2HFvWRk

The thing is Nintendo sells most of their company-owned shares when they're doing well, and only buy them back when they're in the shitter. If Disney wanted to that badly they could do a hostile takeover during a peak period, but I don't think they will because Nintendo can get really expensive during those times.

Ant-trust suits, probably.

Also, Nintendo's heads are too stubborn to ever let it happen, no matter how many shares Disney buys.

Vivendi's a bit different because French law requires you only need to own 33% of a company before you can automatically buy the rest of the shares and control it completely. Everywhere else it's 51% and that still only gives you control, not all the shares.

Guys how you know what a company's worth?

Theoretically speaking just market cap but if you're doing a takeover you usually need to cover the debt too.

Was Fox worth a lot or did they just have that much dept?

Okay, so who buys Capcom?

52 billion? They're probably worth close to that.

They literally bought everything Fox related except for Fox News and Fox Sports.

So think of all their IPs, cartoons, shows, etc. they owned and their net worth. I don't know if they had much debt but that's a big acquisition.

Thank god Futurama isn't owned by Disney, jesus

Their debt was $13B which is extra to the $52B everyone is talking about. And yes, Fox's market cap is $60B which seems about right since they're buying everything but Fox News and Fox Sports.

Um, user...

user.....

Waiting for Disney to buy Nintendo and or Sony. Don't care which one, I want to see just how easily Disney would win the console wars by name alone.
