How do we fix Starfox Sup Forums?
How do we fix Starfox Sup Forums?
Buy the entire Ace Combat dev team
Story that isn't just 64 again, other playable characters in the main story, longer game, and good local and online multi player.
You can't. Nintendo will always fuck it up now
let it die
assault sequel
have falco be giant and fuck buildings
Make it not on rails for starters and keep it to vehicles only. None of that Starfox Adventures and Command third person shit.
...
This guy gets it
From a gameplay perspective: Give it to Sakurai. Kid Icarus: Uprising is unironically the best Starfox game we never got.
From a story perspective: Ditch the Thunderbirds approach and go full 80's anime Space Opera invoking the likes of Macross, Southern Cross, Gundam and maybe even Yamato. The tech levels at present allow for all kinds of crazy, inventive shit but it's just being left on the floor.
Tight level design. No motion controls. No gimmicks. Half annoying, half endearing allies. One Liners.
NO FUCKING GIMMICKS. On Rail with tight controls and immersing space and varied planetary visuals with a 4/10 story, and at least 2 major alternate paths.
Remove Krystal.
Turn it into Call of Duty for furries
fix ground combat and make the campaign co op and im in, also online deathmatches
turn it into an open world survival sandbox game
Literally die. Love;

WOW
That style of game is fucking dead and you need to accept it. It's boring compared to what games can do now and was only fun back then.
Make a Star Wolf Game involving the morally ambiguous misadventures of Wolf, Leon and Panther
Command was a direct sequel to Assault, though.
paws
It would honestly be so fucking easy. Make a Starfox game that ISN’T Starfox 64 version 4. Give it decent controls, a bit more length, and some memorable levels with different branches.
That fucking simple. And yet the franchise will continue to suffer from stupid decisions.
Zero was the kind of starfox game I wanted overall.
There's no incentive to explore the extra paths or master the controls, though, so having a clearer goal after beating andross would be a good improvement.
and this is an unpopular oppinion of mine, but you should be required to beat the game in in one sitting at least once before you get the ability to bookmark progress or select specific levels. Arcade style games like starfox get the most from that experience.
What do Fox's and Falco's feet look like? And all those barefoot lizards and dinos made Adventures tolerable
They were cut off to give them metal legs, which they use to fly the Arwings
...
Not canon.
B-b-but the Smash Bros trophies said so!
Paws and Talons

Fix what? Zero was great, only brainlets couldn't undestand the control scheme. Aside from 64, it's probably the best Star Fox
The only thing I won't ever knock someone for is not personally liking motion control, which is completely different than not having the mental capacity to learn a new control scheme.
I was expecting SF Zero to be a lot like 643D in which you had an option full gyro campaign (which wasn't terrible imo) but you had a completely traditional control scheme mode/s, nothing is forced upon anyone who doesn't want it and everyone is happy. 643D is great.
Zero is a great redo once again but I can see why, even someone who put in effort, might be put off by the controls. I personally loved them and the different vehicles, it actually felt like I was playing a Star Fox game again.
What Nintendo needs to do at this point is stop treating the series like a tech demo. Use Zero as a clean slate and push forward with more traditional gameplay on switch, don't even include gyro stuff in the next game just make it normal with sprinkles of goofy space animal drama. Zero, overall, was a breath of familiar but fresh air after years of derivative garbage like Adventures, Assault and Command
Make alternate outfits in-game for each character.
zero suit for each character
Just needed to follow the 64 way of multiple paths and that's it. Nobody would have shat on it then.
I want a game where like 2/64/command stuff. I want to choose my pilots, play as them all, and defeat the enemy my own way.
What if they go full on SHMUP and have it alternate between top down shooter, side scrolling shooter and traditional Star Fox. Sometimes within the same level. Sort of like Astebreed or the SHMUP levels of Nier Automata.
Still need a roll for your other teammates.
...
Put a bullet in it. Though Miyamoto won;t let one of his babies die that easily.
Remove all range mode.
W-what?

Look. I get where you're coming from, but you have no idea what you're talking by saying all the criticism for zero was just the control scheme. Take a note from Sonic the Hedgehog; the fans are ALWAYS right. Give us a better version of Starfox 64. The Starfox equivalent of Mania. Assault is retarded, and Zero was a missfire. When you say "We want to appeal to the older fans," then how about you fucking start by doing what they ask? The control scheme is at best, an annoyance, and not better than traditional onrail control schemes, and at worst, just a blatantly unwanted addition.
Period. Done.
