How likely is it in the next 10 years Europe enters the console race? There hasn't been much in the 35+ years of gaming beyond Nintendo/Sony/microsoft (and short lived failures to launch and a couple respectable "prototype granddaddies" like atari) will there ever be a hugely successful, millions sold with longevity console with support that isn't the big three? It doesn't even have to be European.
Is there even a need for one?
What would it take for a newcomer company to take off?

PC fags keep your opinions to yourself this thread is about HOME CONSOLES and the future of them.

The only game would be the Koran

>PC fags keep your opinions to yourself this thread is about HOME CONSOLES and the future of them.
but europeans are pc fags
there's no need for consoles

>consolekek gets defensive in their OP
like clockwork. europe loves PC gaming, consoles are an afterthought.

Lolno the PS4 sells like mad in europe

>mad
I think you misspelled bad

>euroslimes
>capable of making anything other then cuck porn

>in the last 35 years there's been nothing but the big 3
Sega at the very least you underaged shitstain. Nintendo didn't just stand alone for two gens.

In think there really is no need for a new console making company. The big three +PC is almost too much as is, and every group of game developers in the world are already making shit loads of games for all of those platforms.

It would be cool tho, if a few hyper billionaires like notch came together and financially supported handpicked teams of extremely talented/genius level people to create games based off of community ideas and feedback. no restrictions and rules. Just beautifully, passionately crafted games with infinite financial support.

Why would anyone choose to enter a niche market for expensive toys when they can just shit out hardware or software for the much, much broader PC market?

To take off in Europistan all you need is to have your console support Fifa. It's that easy.

It's odd how Europe never got into making computers. Except for some specialized stuff. Britain made some really good consumer-grade ones for a while but they got REKT. I think the US is behind this. They keep Europe under control. They keep them dependent on America and Asiatic companies for their computing needs.

Europe don't do tech

It is because europeans are inbred, ugly snaggle toothed delusional holier than thou subhumans with an unstoppable superiority complex. They have too much faith in their fellow men that they just assume their next to kind will "do it for them" cuz so smart. And that led to nothing ever happening. Eurofags shit on all other countries and people when they are the worst of us all

>but europeans are pc fags
actually europens are PS-fags, the chinks and the gooks are the biggest PC-fags in the world.

>eaurofags playing anything but shitty simulators on pc

i wanna play soul calibur 2 now

so basically you're saying USA is better than them stinky britties

The US is powerful if they want to crush an industry in some other country they just do it. They don't have to outcompete them in a fair way, they have a million ways to screw them over. In many cases in the end it didn't have much to do with the free market, they are engineering a certain world order.

Nigger, europe wont even exist in 10 years

like 50% of those PS4s are nothing but FIFA-machines

Up until the 90s, console weren't a thing in Europe. Europe is the PC gaming heartland. Literally all good European developers got their start making PC games or even demoscene stuff.

Europe hasn’t been relevant since, what, the Amiga? There’s currently no European company with any business in the console space.
The only two companies I can imagine releasing a console in the near future are Atari (if the Ataribox is a miraculous success and they have enough funding to develop a real current gen console) and Samsung.

More games need ass jiggle physics

I'd be happy to see the first console made by a muslim, too.

The EU might not work out and an European superstate might not happen. But Europe will survive. It might end up more economically and culturally integrated with the middle east though. And it'll have to take on some of the burden of trading with China. This will NOT be good for the native Europeans but they'll suck it up.

no, he means the contined will get nuked by both North Korea and the USA, so Europe will literally be gone in 10 years
