Persona 4

How do I beat this bitch? Is there something I'm missing? She's not weak to anything and has an assload of health on top of her deadly damage output.
I didn't expect to get hit with such a giant difficulty spike so early on.

>tfw there were so many shitters like OP that they actually made her easier in Golden

Thats like the easiest boss of the game. What difficulty are you playing

idk i've only played Golden desu~

Normal, I don't get how its easy unless there's some cheap out strat that I don't know about.

Block with Chie literally every turn. Grind up a couple levels then try again.

>Playing it on easy and having problems

Have you tried:

A) Healing when low in health
B) Fuse your damn demons you retard
C) Use buffs and debuffs

The strat he probably used was playing Golden, where Yukiko is weak to Bufu. She's one of the hardest bosses in vanilla.

I played on hard on vanilla, the hardest boss in vanilla is Kanji, Yukiko is the easiest, hands down.

You just buff Yu and have him use a physical persona with double fang.

Slime also breaks the fiight.

>A) Healing when low in health
No shit, of course I heal when low on health
>B) Fuse your damn demons you retard
I fused only once, and got Cu Sith out of it, I wasn't sure how much I was supposed to fuse since this is my first time ever touching a Persona game
>C) Use buffs and debuffs
Already doing that, though not regularly because they burn through my SP like mad, and there's literally no good SP heals I can stock up on at this point to prevent that from being a big issue.

I only played Golden, but you have like two weeks to save Yukiko. Spending a few days grinding won't hurt you.

Okay, I am gonna be nice here, the problem here seem you are not using the mechanics of the game. I want me to show me your persona menu to look at your personas.

>the hardest boss in vanilla is Kanji, Yukiko is the easiest, hands down.
I don't even know how to respond. I got Kanji on my first try, even Teddie was harder, and Yukiko was the hardest for me. Everyone has a different experience I suppose, likely stemming from what Personas you have.

I don't like dating Sims but the Persona 2 duology is my favorite JRPG of all time.

Is there any point in playing the neo-Persona games or are they basically just their own seperate franchise at this point?

Take out the knight guy first then use bufu to knock her down.

Protect Chie since she's the only one who can actually attack her weakness.

...

don't they tell you that you need to use guard

I do go after the knight first, but Bufu does nothing to the boss, she's indifferent to everything except she absorbs fire.

Imagine sucking this hard at video games.

Okay. I want you to go the velvet room and fuse all the personas that arent Cu Sith to the highest persona available, especially if they are on a social link you have.

You really want a persona who can heal since Chie cant and Yusuke doesnt have acess to media. I dont remember what personas you can make but if you have acess to a attack down or defense down persona thats super useful, if you have acess to attack up skill I want you to buff yosuke or Chie, whoever has the highest strenght and physical skill.

A person immune to fire is also good, Izanagi is a meme, jsut get rid of him.

nigga fuse them out

Fuse up your Persona until you find something that Resists or Nulls fire.
Buff the fuck out of Yu and have him use physical skills.
Have Chie guard most of the time.
Use items liberally.

Warp to the middle floor. Fight every enemy on each floor up. You will be leveled enough at this point. Also, fuse more. Hot tip, you will not be using Izanagi forever and should fuse him as soon as you can get something better. And every time before you fuse, save them in the compendium, then save the fused Personas too.

How are you doing op

I'm doing okay I think, made this guy, and I'm going to grind a couple more personas for fusion since I have an extra day before the third day of rain.

Get senri, she has null fire.

Okay, double fangs is exactly what you want, pop some buff attack items on you and rape yukiko. You dont need to grind, you really want to beat dungeons on 1, 2 days top. You can go now and beat yukiko

Fusing personas is key. Start fusing personas immediately.

Getting a Slime to like level 7 lets it learn Red Wall which grants resistance to Agi.
Archangel will eventually learn Media, the first-tier group healing spell, which can help immensely.
Use buff skills, for example Yosuke should have Sukukaja and Chie should have Tarukaja by now.
Don't feel bad for struggling against this boss, the early game is usually the hardest part of SMT and Persona games since you have so few resources, it mostly gets easier from here once you start getting more options for Persona fusion and have more party diversity.

oh shit nigger what the fuck are you doing?

Also should mention that you should generally fuse as much a possible, personas take a while to level up without dedicated grinding and will only learn a few moves; generally you want to fuse them after they've learned all their moves or if they have a move you want to pass down.
Physical attacks are generally better than magic attacks because SP recovery is at a premium and HP is relatively easy to recover. Multi-hit moves (like Double Hit) are good shit.
Also pay attention to cues, like when the boss "gazes intently at Chie" she's gonna use the party-wide fire attack so have everyone guard.

I just got slime shortly after you posted that, grinded him to level 4 and got red wall, even though says I'm good now, I'm
just gonna get media on archangel to be safe.

I love the persona 2 duology and I enjoy neo-persona. You probably won’t like it as much but I’d say try one. The strange themes that made 1 and 2 memorable still exist just more as over-arching themes
