THE SURGEON GENERAL'S A FOOL
...
But it already got one.
LMAO
Empire earth
...
Hey, I've got that on my Steam wishlist.
Looked pretty ordinary, honestly.
...
Dark messiah of might and magic
To complete the underrated Source Engine game trilogy
Deus Ex
Original Fallouts
it's messiah, not dark messiah you fucktard.
still dark messiah is a cool game
Fucking GOLD
Shiny were some crazy awesome devs.
I got the game a few weeks ago and it's a fucking bitch to run. The game is quite buggy, which is a shame because it looks really fun. Wonderfully weird as well.
COME ON ALREADY GIVE IT TO US
HOGS
OF
WAR
Holy shit. You're right!
Diablo 2? Just updated textures and shit pls. Also remove most of Act 3 and a good chunk of 5, holy shit was that ever fucking tedious.
This
Also pic related.
And:
> Ecstatica
> sacrifice
> alone in the dark
> heroes of might and magic 3
> thief
> ultima underworld
> medievil (supposedly happening right?)
> deus ex
>demon's souls
Any of the above, provided it was just game engine and ease of use.
I'd fucking hate it if they were just gutted and "streamlined" though.
...
Eh, to be honest, it wouldn't really make any difference in regards to my impression.
Impression being "like abe's oddysee only uglier and less fun".
Not that it was a bad game. Just not as good. It's one of those games we remember fondly because it's from that golden period where everything coming out was trying to do its own thing.
Maybe if someone just took the concept and made an entirely new game. But then again, it really is a very similar concept to the first two oddworld games.
And omikron.
Man, now that shit needs a remake.
...
Evil Genius.
Perfect Dark
Conkers Bad Furday
Shadowman
>ecstatica
>alone in the dark
same game
>sacrifice
Doesn't need a remake, just a UI that doesn't chug dick.
>heroes of might and magic 3
It had a remake, nobody liked or wanted it.
>thief
Maybe a new game instead of a remake, who really wants a thief remake. Even that SS1 remake was kinda superfluous in my opinion.
>ultima underworld
Eh, same as above.
>medievil
Fair enough I guess if you like that game. I never understood the hype myself.
>deus ex
Finally, something that actually does need a remake. Perhaps a re-imagining to a certain degree, expanding the scope of the story and allowing more freedom. DE was kind of a bitch in how it teased freedom all the time but would selectively not allow it.
>demon's souls
why
G POLICE
Although anything remade can be fucked up, so you can't speak about solid benefit.
As much as I love the GBA gimmick it was and still is a pain.
What the fuck are you talking about. Thread was about games that could use remakse, not about messiah
Anachronox in an engine that doesn't make the characters look like square bobble-heads.
Also, where the fuck is part 2?!?
Really the reason for any of the games on my list are that I fucking loved them, but a fair few people will never experience the joy cos of how convenient everything is these days and how awkward to control, or downright ugly a lot of those games are by today's standards.
I wanna share the merriment and fun, but I'm not one of those people that necessarily thinks that people who can't get over how aged stuff is are plebs.
I reckon there are so many games that showcase either great original gameplay (die by the sword or sacrifice) or exemplify a particular genre (thief, deus ex, ultima, aitd) or are just downright great, but that could benefit from fancy new game engines and simpler controls.
Obviously I'd want the content to only be improved and not removed!
Sadly, I know that shit would never happen, and instead we'll get shit like thi4f and the "hd remake" of homm3.
>Doesn't need a remake, just a UI that doesn't chug dick.
Not playing with keyboard shortcuts for your spells?
Why?
...
good idea but gameplay is horrible and overall game is confusing
Shiny lost their magic touch after the MDK
Ps.
Demon's souls as a remake is just code for ps4 release.
>Shiny lost their magic touch after the MDK
Literally their best game (yes, better than MDK) was posted earlier in the thread.
Kid Icarus
watching my dad play this when I was a kid was some of the best times of my childhood.
