>tfw Burial Blade
Choosing STR was a mistake.
Tfw Burial Blade
iktf
You can make a Burial Blade build now and actually use the weapon for 90% of the game. Just do the first chalice (that you get from Blood Starved Beast) up to the second boss and you can use this glyph: nzzn259g
There is an uncanny burial blade in the first bonus room.
Is there a similar way to get the Maria weapon early on? Or do chalice dungeons not have uncanny dlc weps?
>Choosing STR was a mistake.
LMAOING @ ur life
For such a "skill" based game, portraying the hunters as agile speedsters, STR scaling weapons dominate the game, both in number, strength and being fun to use.
You can buy them from any chalice dungeon bath messengers, but only after you get the original one.
>Not the Kirkhammer
Ya goofed. Brik on a Stik best weapon. It's so good that it takes up 1/3 of your screen in it's tricked state forcing you to put all your faith in it's power.
Str has some great weapons too though, my favorite probably being the Amygdalan Arm.
>STR a mistake
>ever
DLC STR weapons are more fun alone than all SKL weapons combined. But I still can't say no to the true great of greats, the Hunter's Axe.
Use 1 heavy abyssal and BB is good on a 50 str 25 skl character.
DLC weapons only appear in chalice dungeons once you get the original.
The earliest you can get it is Amelia -> go into DLC. Assuming you can beat Ludwig (tough but doable with summons), Living Failures (not a big problem) and Maria (git really gud at parrying), then you can just sprint to the final area of the fishing hamlet and you can kill the shark dudes from the ledge. You use throwing knives or something to aggro them, then they're tall enough that you can actually hit them from on top the ledge. You use the bone blade item to get them to fight each other and then finish off the last one.
With heavy abyssals, every weapon is str weapon
I thought only SKL weapons benefited from scaling gems, STR being better off stacking tempering (or adept in case of some).
Heavy and cold abyssals got a massive buff in one of the last patches they realeased. With two of them on the burial blade, you might even get A str scaling on the burial blade. Shame there's no Sharp abyssal
Its the other way round, FROM buffed only Heavy and Cold Abyssals.
SKL weapons dont really deserve Sharp abyssals. Their damage is competent with just temperings and do remember that SKL builds get quite a hefty damage bonus for viscerals, so overall its all balanced.
Str leaning quality weapons, like Saw Cleaver, Beast Claws and Stake Driver, are also better with 1 heavy abyssal.
Pure skill weapons like Rakuyo and BoM, will still suck with with 1 heavy and 2 tempering on 50 str 25 skl.
>and do remember that SKL builds get quite a hefty damage bonus for viscerals, so overall its all balanced.
Fair point
What's the point of the moonlight sword when you can have a stronger faster weapon(ludwig hoyl blade)?
>burial blade
>not church pick
shit taste desu
You can use the Amygdalan Arm instead, it's sort of a strength equivalent to the Burial Blade. You can get it right after you kill Vicar Amelia. Just go into the DLC area and run into the cave at the river of blood. It's on a body at the end near where the bloodstarved beast miniboss is.
moonlight sword is capable of doing more damage per attack if you hit with both the beam and the blade. Also it is superior to the LHB when 1-handed if only because of the R2 stab attacks
burial blade is way more stylish
Moonlight greatsword is a better arcane weapon and has those nifty special moves, plus it's pretty to look at.
B-b-ut saw cleaver is literally the best weapon in the game
Pizza Cutter.
>With two of them on the burial blade, you might even get A str scaling on the burial blade
For what purpose? When I can just use a STR weapon and stack three tempering gems on it.
>Stake Driver
Well, it's a meme weapon, so you might as well just stack striking gems instead.
This.
No seriously, if you learn the timing to connect with fully charged L2's you become a god. If it connects and the enemy isn't staggered or flattened, it can't be done.
you can put one HA on the burial blade and make it have A scaling in STR. Putting two HA's in makes it S scaling but its not as effective as just using one and two tempering gems
>flora petals flying around as Gehrman starts to become more vicious
This game is true kino. Really hoping Shadows Die Twice is BB2.
It's either Tenchu or new IP. Mark my post.
>meme weapon
Delete this post.
>three tempering
Even a STR weapon benefits from one heavy abyssal
>BeastHunter Saif
It probably will be, but will also have Souls influence (stamina, bonfires, levelling, non-linear storytelling, etc) so will still count as a Souls/Bloodborne.
but I want rally and trick weapons and quickstepping and procedurally generated dungeons. Those things are all Bloodborne-specific and unlikely to all carry over into a new IP
Eh, not necessarily. They could easily bring over any of those features but just call it a new name to make it a new IP. Like Dark Souls is mostly just Demon's Souls, but they changed the name to make it a new IP that was not owned by Sony.
how do you use glyphs that early?
it's a depth-1 Pthumerian labyrinth glyph. You could always join those as glyphs as soon as you beat Merciless Watchers from the first chalice and got the basic root chalice. It was just never worth it to before.
This is just a special, glitched dungeon where there is depth-5 loot like the burial blade contained in a depth-1 dungeon. Also depth-5 enemies and bosses.
>This is just a special, glitched dungeon where there is depth-5 loot like the burial blade contained in a depth-1 dungeon. Also depth-5 enemies and bosses.
what the heck? Do you need to beat any bosses or hard rooms to get to this burial blade? And are there similar dungeons for other weapons? This is amazing
the burial blade is in the very first bonus room. You have to get past two spider maidens, some beasts and a loran silverbeast to reach the coffin, and they each have as much HP as your average boss-fight by the time you're there so it's best to just run past them all and try to nab the weapon before you get killed
I haven't played chalice dungeons since 2015 so can't remember where bonus rooms are. Is this one in that corridor section before the dungeon proper?
yeah they are always behind big gold doors in the corridors on the way to or from the boss fights to the main area of each layer. Dungeons are always just:
Entrance -> possible bonus room -> main area w/ lever -> possible bonus room -> boss
man this game must be boring as fuck, that boring ass repetitive souls gameplay only this time everything is black and dull looking
Can you do this with any other weapons?
yep see image:
I'm doing this shit after okami. Ps plus is required, right?
it's not bb2
beast claws is best weapon tho
yes to play online, not required to do chalice dungeons
You cant charge an L2. Kirk L2's hurt though, especially with blunt gems. But the charged R2 is too hard to connect with. The range is way too short and the charge too long
Holy shit.
I'm grabbing all of those. Will i get banned ?
PS+ is required to use glyphs
no
This. I have 3 32% blunt gems on my kirkhammer and it absolutely destroys everything
You can use glyphs without online, right?
Fuck, I might have to boot up Bloodborne again.
>You can use glyphs without online, right?
no
That's what i thought. Fucking jews reeeee
All right, will have to get the free trial if it's available. If not, what's the cheapest way to get PS+ for the shortest amount of time?
Probably G2A if it's still around
SKL weapons are just fun in a different way. Instead of stun-locking, trading with and rallying against enemies, you are deftly poking and dodging and parrying them. It really does look and feel a lot more skillful.
Also the burial blade is basically just the SKL equivalent of the Hunter Axe
long weapon is effective
therefore thrust attack is effective
>tfw dex build for the first time in forever
tf>w Burial Blade is inferior to both the Chikage in a low level build and the Holy Blade in a quality build
A-At least it looks cool...
This is a godsend, thank you.
I've done so many runs with different weapons but not one for this
The chikage is garbage only good for its unzip attack. It is god awful for PVE especially with how much HP it drains from you.
The BB is superior to ludwig's holy blade in a SKL build, which is what we are talking about.
>tfw want to wheel but keep getting parried by pretty much everyone in PvP
Any tips from wheel experts?
don't use the wheel
>being this wrong
it'd also be pretty shit without bloodtinge since you'd only have the decent untransformed damage.
just get bow blade you faggot.
This is something Dark Souls does so much better than any other game in the Souls franchise. Since so much of the game is wide open right from the start you can quickly and easily build any character you want on repeat playthroughs.
There are early options there for just about any build you want to do as well so you're not slumming your way through 80% of the game trying to get that weapon/item you need to complete your build. Every other Souls game is more restrictive, especially Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne.
Trick the wheel, roll to the spot next to where you think your adversary will go, turn the camera to them, lock-on, and press R1 to do the roll-R1 on them. Try to time your attacks so you hit them mid-dodge on their way over to you (due to the latency)
>Implying I have the Dlc
I either laugh it off or go insane because I don't have it. I'd rather laugh it off.
>Bloodtinge build
BB is the only game that's restrictive in that way at this point though, you can just cheat in whatever weapon you want for a build in any of the Souls games
I see you are a man of taste as well
>Boomhammer
>doesn't explode
LOL WUT
Yes it does you mong
just respec bro... oh that's right, the game is shit
you can make a new profile and sign up for a new free trial, then log back into your main profile and use it.
you can do this indefinitely.
>He doesn't BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT his enemies to death
world of strength motherfuckers
I have this quality build I haven't used in forever and I never got around to the burial blade. Is it gud?
Pure bloodtinge, min str and skl, is a very potent pve and PvP character
The chikake dash>l1>l1 with 50 BT is stupid strong. You also get the Evelyn, bow blade, and blood letter which are all really good and madaras whistle
How about you get the DLC?
It's useless untricked
>being a casul
>Ever needing to use it untricked
lmao just beast blood pellet and smash or BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT your way to victory what are you, a homosex?
>the ultimate one trick pony
All the transformed attacks are the exact same thing as the untransformed attacks except there's a trail of fire.
Because there's no one playing BB anymore and I won't get to skewer players with the fancy DLC weapons And I like the suffering
And the charged R2 which brings down the hammer hard and finishes with an explosion.
And an explosion, like that post said didn't happen
FYI you can use Glyphs offline
t. someone who spent hours farming bloodgems
I did a bowblade run with 50 skl/Blt
Holy fuck it breaks PvE. Bosses literally cannot deal with ranged attacks at all.
Guess it's time to do another Bloodborne run, thanks Sup Forums
Except all the R2s that also have explosions
Yeah? How?
Yeah I don't use it because I find it boring but it really does break the game
If I wanted to do that, I'd just use my 99 Arc build with is my favorite. Bolt said/fire saw spear and then you can spam the blacksky eye and executioners gauntlets
Super busted but way more work than BT
DLC is the best part of the game, but keep being a retarded poorfag
You have to use a Short Ritual Root Chalice and type in the specific glyph, if you've already done that chalice it doesn't cost materials.
If you don't have 1 of these weapons in your arsenal go home.
>Rakuyo
mah nigga. it's got so much versatility
