Holy shit this game is C O M F Y. Like, if you thought ”comfy” was a meme, you need to play this. I fucking love this shit, the art and atmosphere are so soothing. I just did the 4th task, hopefully the game won’t throw some ridiculous forced boss battle on my face because so far the battles have been simple and nice.
How does Rorona Plus compare to other games in the series, mainly PS3 titles? Are they equally pleasant?

Totori and Meruru are pretty much equally as chilled out. Maybe slightly less, since the stakes if you fuck up in them are a little higher than just getting evicted, but still pretty chill.
Ayesha/Escha and Logy/Shallie try to have a more serious plot so they're less chill, but still pretty chill. Worse gameplay though. E&L gives you insanely huge amounts of time to do everything so you have to spend weeks grinding/sleeping just to proceed to the next task, and Shallie dumps the time limits entirely which makes things feel a lot more grindy. Kinda weird, since it's not like they're any more grindy in practice, but just being able to do everything as much as you want makes it feel different.

Rorona Plus is one of the best atelier games. Totori is a bit worse in the gameplay department since it came out before Rorona Plus while Meruru is probably even a step above.

>Multiple posts in the past week praising the ancient Arland series
>Brain-dead, cute girls, fumbling their way through alchemy
>Not mentioning the Dusk series
>Mathematical geniuses whimsically creating weapons of mass destruction
Sad.

Maybe because the Arland games are much better. That's kind of important.

play only Arland Series

It's great you're enjoying it OP. The others are enjoyable too but Rorona's definitely a high point. Enjoy being a cute girl

Not that I've played shallie but E&S fucking sucked my dude.

How is massive amounts of the color brown comfy? How is only 1 town/HUB comfy? Everything is localized and happens in 1 boring ass place.

And that's all the series had going for it, comfy factor.
Maybe alchemy autism too but E&S made that shit. Also nothing in that game could compared to the super bosses from ayesha so it was pointless.

Fuck off nyonmyan.

Post lolis.

>How is only 1 town/HUB comfy?
To be fair, most Ateliers only have one town. Though yeah, Escha and Logy sucked.

Look at how fucking flat she is.

>the best versions of the Arland games are still stuck on the vita
>Koei only started porting the series with the total wreck that is the Mysterious book titles
Just fuck me up good

PSTVs were $25 at some point. Your loss.

dude, you do know that behind the cutesy-face, brain-dead facade, arland alchemists lies the heart and brain of mad scientist?

they made potion of eternal youth and nukes.

>How is only 1 town/HUB comfy?

Weird metric to rate it since only Totori, Ayesha, Shallie(to an extent), and Firis have more than one town. The problem with E&L wasn't that it had one town, but that the map design was lazy and bad. Locations only opened up in straight lines from the town. Up 2 spaces, down 2 spaces, right 2 spaces, left 2 spaces. It was basically a cross with the town in the center. It seems like a minor thing but Ayesha's map that curves and goes through mountains and valleys gives the impression you're actually going somewhere and gives it a sense of scale.

Mmm~ that slight developing chest.

>weebshit
>comfy

...

Pirate the vita/pstv versions of Arland games if you can. Think of Aysha/Plus as a standalone game and forget the rest of dusk.

>fucks pigeons
>dies a virgin

I've heard it's really stressful though

So, Dusk games are seen generally weaker than the Arland trilogy. How are the latest ones on the PS4?

Stay the fuck away from sophie / firis. The new one isn't out yet.

Well that’s pretty disheartening. How did they make fun games at one point but then start sucking ass

...

>its comfy guys I swear!

>ridiculous time constraints
>have to do everything in a specific manner to get the "true" ending or else fuck you, you wasted too much time, have to start a NG

Go fuck yourself Sup Forums. Sure it's comfy for the first 2 or so hours, then you see it's basically a Calendar simulator where you have to make sure you do specific tasks/goals to keep playing and if you SLIGHTLY deviate from it you get fucked out of the game's ending.

It's not actually very hard to get the best ending if you're good at planning. Maybe you're just not very good at this style of game. There are lots of things you can do to improve your efficiency that you might have missed.

Gitgud

>expecting people that player Atelier to care about the gameplay
You know what they came for

This. Mysterious series is comfy. Shallie too. Arland games are stressful as fuck. It's easy to finish but true end is impossible without guide or multiple playtroughs.

And the fucking clock is always ticking in the background. Picked useless items? Wasted time on fight? Had to go 10 days and back, but the route was locked? Need that one item for alchemy that needs to you travel 20 days? Also be sure to not do things out of order or the ending gonna be locked.

Use a guide.

Like shit, I NEVER use guides even for persona but I knew about the whole alchemy and calendar system and I wanted a nice, fun experience. Couldn't care less about gamer pride or whatever it is that stops people from doing things like this or dropping the game to easy for a difficult boss.
