So now that Legion is finished how would you rate it overall?

So now that Legion is finished how would you rate it overall?

>made one of the best builds WoW has ever seen, momentum demon hunter
>Gut it before the first tier raid
5/10

momentum demon hunter is actually the most fun ive ever had in a game, and once i realized it wasnt good enough, i stopped playing

felblade feels like trash, especially cause theres WAY TOO MANY KEYS NOW ON MY HOTBAR

It happened/10

better than wod so i was satisfied

Antorus is a better raid than tomb was, but I think nighthokd may be the best raid of the expac. 6/10 expansion it kept me around for a decent amount of time.

probably the worst expansion with WoD MoP.

good story, good zones, good content, so its better than Mists, Cata and WoD

about even with WoTLK

Pretty okay, not great.

BC > Vanilla > WotLK = MoP > Legion > Cata > WoD

Demon Blades, a passive, one 1

Either it's WoD 2.0, or wow has always been like this and wod and legion just finally made me realise it.
Regardless, I still played every patch and despite not enjoying any of it besides the music I know I'll be back for BfA.

I do like the ramp in importance with who we are fighting this time around.

fighting the world soul Argus is probably the most "serious business" things that has ever happened in World of Warcraft, also doing in a room surrounded by the beings that created all our races (cept trolls/Elves and Tauren) was neat.

>Gut it
just like DK being fun before ulduar path
dunno about monks it was so shit it wasn't worth learning

when i swap talents i still need to press 1

It has content to do which is nice. Post-level cap progression is a good idea as well. HOWEVER

>execution of artifact system is lacking in many ways
>gear inflation and catch-up mechanics at their worst, leaving a lot of content irrelevant and/or a waste of time even before BfA
>Titanforging is a mistake in many, many ways
>Raid tuning is all over the place as a result of the above points
>PvP is even deader than before

MoP > Cata > Legion > WoD

Unironically the best WoW expansion since WotLK. The fan service was much needed--the new animations look and feel great, and playing alts actually felt like fun, since each class got their own story, continuing on in the class mounts. Yeah, some were better than others, the priest one sucked, but still overall they were fun. The new changes to the classes were hit-or-miss; demonology lock feels kinda micro-managy, and disc priest is a pain in the dick outside of PvP, but Outlaw rogue is fun as fuck.

Not loving that they kept follower missions though, but I do like that they made the missions long enough that you didn't have to keep coming back every 2 hours to send a million minions out, but I'm glad they're retiring that shit in BfA.

The Broken Isles actually feel complete, the zones are large enough to be interesting and with zone scaling, the expansion never felt like it was too grindy just doing dailies in the same zone once you hit max level, and they added large areas to the game with each update (Broken Shore and Argus).

Anyway, it's fun but like any WoW expansion, there's flaws but it still gets a solid 8/10

swap Cata and Legion and you are right

>this is now considered a lot of buttons
lol nu-wow

Blizzard hates fun
t. Gladiator stance Warrior

Was VERY solid. Hated the AP grind, but the content patches were really meaty and the raid content was solid after the face plant that was Emerald nightmare.

Oh, and skill pruning continues to be dumb.

I think its less the buttons and more the playstyle.

Momentum DH is insane, requiring you to use near perfect movement angling.

and you use ALL Of those buttons, unlike casters with a ton of reduncencies/only AOE moves.

Warrior story made no fucking sense unless you were either a Dwarf/Orc, and especially if you were a troll of a certain spec and they handed you a weapon used to genocide your own race.

forgetting the worst offender of the xpac
>legendaries being meaningless RNG drops, while also being utterly vital for certain specs

get a hold of this massive retard

I loved the gameplay but I hated the story and I find it hard investing myself in a game with an uninteresting story. 6/10

skill pruning itself isnt dumb, just the way its implemented

>get rid of all the niche utility skills
>keep all the superfluous damage dealing abilities

>class halls were a shitty timegate in the beginning
>first raid was utter shit
>nothing to grind for except ilvl and AP
>shadow revolves around a fucking meme talent
MoP was unironically the best expac for me since I didn’t stay subbed all the way through seige.

Vanilla/Bc/Wotlk/Mop/Legion/Cata/ Wod

blizzard just gave up on wod completly and they botched the lore with timetravel, hopefully theyll just ignore it ever happened.

Vanilla = BC > Release pre-nerf Cata > MoP > Wrath > Legion > Cata post nerf > Wrath ToC > WoD

I'm still baffled how WoD could turn into such a huge shitfest even though they had like one and a half year of Siege of Orgrimmar.

Looks like a Lei Shin remodel/reskin

Had some good ideas executed well(m+ and world quests), some good ideas executed poorly(ap and legendaries) and some bad ideas (titanforging)
overall pretty good
bc > mop > legion >>> cata > wrath > vanilla >>> wod

thats because Lei Shin uses the Dreanei frame.

Argus being a Dreanei in appearance fits, as it is the world soul of ARGUS

Skill bloat in earlier MMOs was a serious issue. Its much better to have 10-15 well used buttons than 40 you might push once per encounter if at all.

6/10 not as bad as panda or wod

momentum build is pure garbage

3/10

The fact the GM's ex-GF killed my guild doesn't help. Better than WoD but I'm not going back for BFA.

I still can't believe this stupid shit went live.
As a boomkin, I am particularity mad due to that helmet that was like a 30% increase in damage and what seemed to be an interesting change in playstyle, that I never fucking got despite playing enough to get 3 legendaries (all shit btw)

I hate raiding because you need a guild to do it and there are always some retarded fucktards in guilds, and i dont really want to spend my time listening to them bullshit every day all day.

I like that i can now do Mythic+ dungeons and still get some meaningful loot.

World Quests are pretty chill too, to hammer out.

Fuck demons and all the fell shit and spaceships. Fuck RNG leggos and fuck Surammar.

sounds like you should try a single player game instead of playing a Massively multiplayer online role-playing game

casual detected

I don't know how demon blades made it in. Easily the worst talent in the game

found the guy that talks bullshit in the guild's Discord all day

>being such a retarded aspie that you can't even socialize with other losers on the internet

you need guilds less than ever for raiding though

every guild or social group has arseholes in it

unless it's a raid leader/GM just mute him

The ending makes no sense at all
The titans died, like literally fucking died long ago. Their last fragments of their souls all went into their respective keeper on Azeroth. This is a huge plot point with Ra realizing his creators are dead, losing his will to continue and being overthrown by Lei Shen later on because of this which in turn creates very vital plot strings.
Where the fuck do all those titan souls come from? Antorus plays out great because of the inclusion of the pantheon but I feel they kinda overlooked the established lore to make it happen.

6/10

Most of the class halls seemed rushed Especially priest but I enjoyed it enough to do the content on every class

When is 7.3.5? I'll probably resub for a month when it hits.

Probably early january

>NOOOOOOOOO IT WAS GOOD

I couldn't get to level 110 because all specs I tried were so incredibly boring. The story felt kinda cheesy so far. Great visuals though, and Blizz seems to pump out a lot of content, which is nice after wod. Can't say for sure since I didn't play it.
I'll probably check out the finished thing, what's a class that isn't as braindead as the ones I was playing? (Rogue, Warr dps)

didn't fall for it/10
>mfw it's another expansion I didn't waste any time and money on

I played with a group of 2 friends and we quit around the same time a bit after Nighthold was released because they just kept fucking PVP, which was the sole reason we even played.

Yeah blizzard really shot themselves in the foot with gear inflation. They offered a lot of raid content this expansion but only one of those raids was relevant at any patch. Now Antorus is the o lay thing people are progressing through because gear makes everything else piss easy.

Pretty sad

I enjoyed Legion out of the gate. Especially since I was able to pay my sub with Gold instead of money. But the AP grind just burned me the fuck out. And the Mythic Only dungeons were a pain in the ass. I just wanted to complete the dungeon quests in them but by the time I got around to them nobody wanted to do non plus mythics except on the mythic dungeon bonus events. And so I just stopped logging on. And by that time I'm so far behind on the AP grind that I can't be bothered to go back.

7/10

Best expansion since wotlk.

Way too easy to get gear though.

So bad I stopped playing WoW entirely, it's the first expansion to not make me even curious to check it out again.

Why would you want to socialize with random losers online?

second worst expansion, unsubbed a little after EN

Had way more shit to do than WoD, but somehow managed to be worse. I liked most of the not-riding-Illidan's-dick lore.

It's actually pretty ok. All the raids were decent to good. Mythic+ is very good repeatable content. Even when legendary system is kinda shit, when you went to the world to do stuff, it felt meaningful since you might get that sweet legendary. I like the Artifact weapons too.

Of course shitty stuff were that most of the legendaries were horrible, RNG is horrible and classes were butchered.

Started 5/10 very shitty and restrictive with the legendary and ap but ended 8/10

mop had the best gameplay WoW had ever seen

demo lock
ele and enh shaman were finally fun
all 3 mage specs were great
tanking was fun as fuck with vengeance mechanic
even healing wasnt boring cause holy pallies got to do some fun beacon stuff.

So true, I feel bad for the idiots saying "B-B-BUT PANDAS!" I miss MoP so much. I enjoyed it more than BC.

end game content being restricted to 20 man instead of 10 killed it for my group, in mop we were one of the top, but whenever we tried merging with other groups for the other 10 players they were always retarded and all it did was make people shit talk each other.

It was fine but gutted many specs that were very fun to play up to that point and dumbed down PvP quite a lot
It assraped warrior so hard I stopped playing because arms and fury became so retarded and boring

>when they got rid of challenge modes for gay ass diablo 3 rifts.
fuck man i loved finding new class and talent combinatiopns to beat our own times and make sure no one on the server even came close to my groups time.
really brought back server identity in a time of cross realm shit.

No just your tastes.

POST YOUR POWER TIER:

WotLK > BC > Legion > Cata >>> MoP > WoD

>haha what if we made a WHOLE raid teir where just ONE person can make the whole raid wipe

I just started it like two weeks ago after unsubbing for a few years.

I'm already ready to unsub again. Combat has been so simplified it's boring as fuck and I have no idea where to go now that I've finished the first zone.

i gave up on this shit expac once they completely forced the change on how enhancement shamans played after the first raid. ill never understand it
every other spec got pruned till it was a boring mess but somehow by accident they made a fun one, not even top dps or overpowered in anyway during that tier and yet they nerfed all the build's talents and buffed the ones nobody liked for no other reason than a giant fuck you you play how we want you to.

This sounds right but why do people even regard the panda shit or retcon shit. How could panda shit be good. I quit because of the raid journal and the forelands nerf happening so much faster than the previous tier. Then I saw the advertisements for panda shit and it was a relief to never play this game again till something like WoW classic.

Now the super hero thing is great cause it ruined Warcraft not WoW. BC introduced dragons breath which was usable kinda like the Phoenix in TFT but just as a little soldier mage. We were the tiny support units where if you got caught by a ton as a hero in WCIII you could die. So 40 little basic units in WCIII could kill a rag. 25 max upgraded units could cause a Kael'thas to retreat with perfect priest/troll/undead ranged, melee, healer balance. The game was still Warcraft even with dumb abilities in Wrath like frostfire shit for mages. Now little abilities are comparable to Kael'thas' Phoenix. Warcraft absolutely kill

BC = WotLK > MoP = Cata > Legion >>>>> WoD

you missed out, mop had so much cool specs for the classes. especially mage. arcane was fun as fuck with the mana management and rune of power.
and throne of thunder is the best raid in WoW history.

pick another zone. its nonlinear.

7/10 cool expansion but coud have been soooooo much better without :
Rng legendary
Ap grind
Gear doesn't matter in pvp

It's like every expansion they create awesome feature but do stupid shit like that. 1 step further, 2 step beyond...

>never played the game
>conclude it's bad from some of the models
>still need to give your opinion about it
stop posting

>mop
>not the best expansion after tbc

It was a big step up from WoD

s'alright. Class design for Warlocks and various other classes was garbage, artifact weapons got boring quick and lost their prestige like after a week. The Legion was boring, black and green everywhere. The Diablo style of loot was a fucking mistake, World Quests are okay, but it's still dailies. Suramar was cool, for once the story didn't make me cringe, it was pretty typical Warcraft stupidity but not outright awful.

I'll be glad when it's over but I didn't hate it.

>join mythic guild
>it still uses teamspeak in 2017
>some underage kid keeps talking shit and spouts nothing but outdated memes, never says anything productive
>mute him
>5 minutes later get an angry whisper from the GM telling me to unmute him or get kicked because i may miss important callouts
>quit a day later

It felt like a step down in terms of art design.

>implying that's new
Flame wreath, and that's just the more famous wipe mechanic.

I liked the idea but it felt really bad in practice because you had to tip toe around the edges of bosses all the time. if DHs just had an increased melee range it would be goat

i just want a fun co cop game bros, why are they so hard to find now? everything is multiplayer shit

Care to elaborate?

>one boss = one whole teir
i said WHOLE TIER user not one boss

>Character behind 90% of the bad shit that happened in the series
>gets killed off in a two minute cutscene like a Saturday morning cartoon villain without the player ever even having seen him personally
Pretty much sums the entire expansion. When I was levelling during the two weeks I played at Legion's launch the entire time I was wondering "Where's the fucking Legion?" The lead up and pre-release material was misleading as fuck. It would be comical if it wasn't so pathetic.

How the fuck would we interact with a literal god? Would it be another awful Deathwing scenario?

BC Hyjal - Archimonde had a nice one too.

this must be a joke right?
combat has been the most simple, braindead spec in the game since launch

Well see, with all the shit the PCs end up doing post-WoTLK it didn't make sense to lump them in with Footmen which are the shitty guards patrolling Stormwind with their T0 Imperial Plate. WoW characters are meant to be heroes and the Paladin/Death Knight/Demon Hunter specifically are strong enough that they can solo certain bosses at their level range - before he was kill, Varian was defeatable by a Pally of the right build. The class halls cement this where PCs get to control artifacts.

>What flavor of Ice Bolt should I use now?

who is argus?

You interact with like 30 others multiple times

>tfw mained hunter for 9 years and it was butchered before my very eyes in legion

Fuck the casuals and their 3 button BM with no generator. Fuck vulnerability, marked shot, sidewinders and the removal of chimera shot/kill shot. Fuck melee survival.

>He thinks Sargeras is dead.
