How do people seriously look forward to ubishit...

how do people seriously look forward to ubishit? every game they've made since watchdogs 1 has been the same game with a different gimmick. they're all awful open world garbage with crafting and DLC.

normies eat up anything
reminder that they unironically praised fallout 4

Rayman is a good series from them still.

Ubisoft hasn't been good since 2007.
When gen 6 consoles came out they started to pander to sub-human brainlets, which worked out for them at least financially just like with EA.
I will never forgive them for what they did to Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six.

>since watchdogs 1

ftfy

asscreed 1 wasn't open world and they didn't have crafting until WD

>asscreed 1 wasn't open world
Reminder that we are old enough to post on the same board as underages who are too young to know about the first asscreed.

have you even played ac1 you retard? it's a linear story based game. it's not open world.

It's pretty open world. I unfortunately finished that game and you could go anywhere in the city you were in. It's been years, but I'm pretty sure you could roam

Not just the city, there was an entire plain of nothing between the three cities, which you'd never voluntarily go to if it wasn't for forced transitions to your next objective and pointless collectibles that it was littered with.

>same game with a different gimmick
what different gimmick?

animals for far cry. time travel for AC. hacking for watch dogs. no idea what the gimmick for tom clancy is now that they made that another genericnopen world game too.

But Splinter Cell began on gen 6

Chaos Theory was late gen 6. As was Prince of Persia reboot before they gutted all combat and filled it with cinematic QTEs.

I meant to say gen 7, specifically xbox360.

Pretty sure Farcry 3 was the beginning.

yes they had the open world games before watchdogs but they still had some variety in their lineups. the point in the OP is that these are all the same games with different settings at this point. even their fucking snowboarding game was a big empty open world.

They make or polish cool/niche game concepts and hype them up insanely pre launch like For Honor, the Division, Siege, etc.
Then they end up being completly incompetant at launch and fuck everything up. Then the community it raised try to salvage whats left to make a "playable" game.

ubisoft was behind for honor? kek that explains it

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure they gated off areas on the city based on what mission you're doing. There was giant white walls of light everywhere.

Siege is definitely a huge departure for the franchise, but it's good in its own way. Splinter Cell on the other hand has been trash after Chaos Theory.

FarCry 3 was fun as fuck. They struck gold.

Then they released it again only set in 80s.

Then again in some Asian shithole.

AGAIN in prehistoric times.

Now, surprise surprise, the same game once again in rural America. It's all very tiresome.
