I've tried on three separate occasions to enjoy this series, but I always get so bored.

Looks a a lot better, but the animations still are way too clunky and dont flow well together.
also attacks need more than one animation type, with such a small move set there should be 5 or so variations for each attack, but here it becomes very visually repetitive and gives an even more clunky feel

You can't really do Death as a primary character anymore. If you make a direct sequel it'll have all four horsemen fighting together. They'll all be the focus.
I guess you could go the prequel route but I'd rather the series progress towards a true sequel. Once Fury and Strife get their own game and they all have the same exact ending we're ready for War and Death to show back up. I don't care if it's a game where you swap characters or a four man co-op game. I want that damn sequel.

that doesn't look like Joe's art direction, but a bad imitation. nobody is chunky or blocky enough, there aren't enough pointless runes and carvings on things and people. her armor looks too generic, it doesn't have that wood carving style armor. her face isn't rounded or squashed enough to fit the darksiders artstyle and it's too elongated for the darksiders style and her original sketches. the hair has no style and sticks out from the rest of the world. Her silhouette is completely forgettable compared to war and death or any monster from the first two games.
I thought they hired or asked Joe for help? the whole point of these games is the 90's artstyle, otherwise it just a hodge podge of other popular games, mainly zelda.
I think Death and War were both great and mechanicaslly were the best but I don't see what Strife has to offer either. He's a gun man without any guns since he lost both of them. Would he be melee or would he find other guns and it's just a pure third person shooter? I'm still excited to see what they will do with Strife but I don't see how he'd work better than Fury in a primarily melee combat game.

I honestly think they could pull the gun thing off. Just have his guns have a farther range when he gets into "melee" combat. Melee like Death, with all the spinning and crazy shite, but he has a longer range with his guns. If that makes sense.

Pestilence isn't a horseman, and it's pretty obvious that Fury is the equivalent to Famine and Conquest to Strife. The only big differences are that Fury uses a whip instead of holding a weighing scale, and Strife uses guns instead of a bow.

War was alright but a little bland, Death was fun and had a much better personality and I liked his scythes
