How do I develop a thicker skin playing online? I can play just fine at first but if I mess up and people shit talk me, it makes me nervous to play again.
How do I develop a thicker skin playing online? I can play just fine at first but if I mess up and people shit talk me...
Do you get nervous when people call you a faggot on Sup Forums?
what
Nope
just play da role niggas always gonna shit talk you
you can't even be sure other people exist why would you ever care what they think
Have you tried not being a bitch?
Just apply that same principle.
On the same boat as you OP, while I don't get mad like a bitch, it really makes me lose concentration in the game and I end up making mistakes here and there that I wouldn't normally make
You can't anymore. The only way I know to develop thick skin was to get lured into wildy as a 12 year old. That's not an option so....kill yourself, I guess?
Gonna let you in on a little secret. Online died in 1997, the FCC have just been running a simulation of bots. You've actually never played against a real person online before, it was just a bot.
Just mute everyone in the chat. If you're playing League or some shit you can even mute their pings/taunts
Do something else that makes you forget it even happened. You could also focus more on having fun as opposed to how well you do. And by any chance, is it a specific game that makes you feel this way? If so, which one? I feel like that may have something to do with it.
just be a dick to everybody else. why the fuck do you care you're basically anonymous online. don't tell me you REALLY care about what people half way across the world think about you.
Everyone hates you. Once you learn that, you learn to stop giving a shit.
stop caring what another ant thinks about you honestly you be forgotten in 1 hour tops
there are so many humans around the person being a dick is a nobody just as you and me are
This is what I did. I just disregarded any chat, game signals only. Until I became good enough to carry at lower ranks and now I'm confident enough to shit talk back. It's funny how most the bullies are exceedingly mediocre, but it only becomes obvious after you stop being new.
People who shit talk against you aren't people, otherwise they'd be helping you on how to improve your game, not trash talk you. Learn to ignore, befriend those who give legitimate advice and help you along the way. I don't usually play online, but only because I'm embarrassed to even play against someone, even if I don't have microphone access, in regards to skill. I've always been a very solo person. If you're concerned about your own skill and helping other people, play a little more to hone your skills then come back. No one's perfect on their first run.
people talk shit to everyone you're not special just play the game user
>It's funny that most bullies
>that most bullies
>most bullies
>"bullies"
Dis nigga
>How do I develop a thicker skin playing online?
Ignore shit talkers (mute). Listen to advice givers.
