Absolutely.
Where the fuck is Re:Link? And did that mobile game ever come out?
This was just Earthbound with shitty aesthetics
How is the transformers game? I loved Bayonetta and Wonderful 101. Is it just as over the top?
...
I don't even think you have played all of those games, user.
This, Platinum Games has to be one of the most overrated developers on this board. All their games have one good mechanic and rest is unpolished or fapbait.
...
>never played on infinite climax
...
All have released at least one shit product.
Approved. MGSV had a disappointing story but the gameplay was still on point, which is the most important aspect.
It's a simpler Bayo with movement properly introduced into the combat, surprisingly fun gunplay (GI Joe game when?) and a mess of a loot system. Still a hell of a good time.
Yup. Swap Bayonetta out for Grimlock and there ya go.
Seriously though. All other difficulties are just training mode for that and it feels great.

>Signs that youre playing a good game
When people on Sup Forums dislike it.
>CS:GO
>Dota 2
>That feeling when you love Platinum and TMNT. And while you feel the game is not going to compare to Platinum's stronger efforts, you still enjoy it and feel it's decent at the very least.
cs has been bad since they removed bhopping.
>Seventh Saga
So since you platinumed it what are your thoughts on the game?
Not perfect but they haven't published a bad game in over 10 years
The girls wear frilly skirts.
not a single good game.
I think it's a game that's "decent," at the very least. I can see why people would be put off with it. It's pretty short with about 9 levels and some questionable choices (no local co-op at all though it does have online co-op and the way they handle "secret," boss fights) and the way they handle the mission based gameplay which is RNG based for what you can get which is hit or miss.
But I do love all the fanservice for the TMNT fans, and the gameplay I felt does play well for what it is (controls well, had little to no technical issues, and has a lot of fun moments). I feel if they had a sequel to this, they can definitely make easy improvements. I get it if you're a fan of TMNT, keep your expectations in check, and such.
Published by Atlus of America, has nothing to do with the Japanese developer.

Fuck you.

Good: Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising
Shit: The rest
I only played Black Mesa but it was awful, only part where it legitimately felt like they tried was where you fight all the special forces surrounding you in the giant domed building, but you never get any reward for playing other than playing the game itself.
>but you never get any reward for playing other than playing the game itself.
???
>a mess of a loot system
you said it
>decide to do some challenge missions
>eventually reach missions where I do almost no damage because my levels + gear suck
>don't feel like grinding a 5 hour campaign or easier challenges
>end up quitting
the game is fun but it feels like the loot and leveling should have been in a longer game, like nier automata
Like, compare it to a similar scene in Metal Gear, when you fight all those soldiers going after you in the elevator tower, the music is great, Snake is awesome, the entire area looks awesome, the are multiple ways to get through it, and when you beat it you get a cutscene, maybe a cool weapon if you manage to find it on while your escaping and you feel like you've progressed toward the end, an actual end, not just a "it's over now" end.
W101 disappointed me because you spend so much time not fighting regular enemies, it's filled with a bunch of QTEs and annoying ass minigames that make me never want to play the game again.
do I want vanquish someone who plays God Hand, Viewtiful Joe, DMC and maybe MGR tell me
>it's filled with a bunch of QTEs
Dude, there's like one or two QTE sequences in each mission and they give you more than enough time to deal with them.
Hell, half of the problem with QTEs is how they can come from nowhere and last milliseconds not that they're inherently flawed.
what happened to them
Hope they don't fuck up Granblue with that nonsense. If it ever comes out, of course.
They got EA'd.
*Blocks your path*
>I only played Black Mesa
There's you problem.
>It's not filled with QTEs!
>It just has TWO PER MISSION
Fuck off, dude. That's a lot of QTEs.
>half of the problem with QTEs is how they can come from nowhere and last milliseconds not that they're inherently flawed.
I disagree. QTEs bug me in all forms.
>you never get any reward for playing other than playing the game itself
No fucking shit, the gameplay in and of itself should be rewarding. You're the kind of casual who sticks to shallow style-over-substance trash like Overwatch, Uncharted and MGS because you need all those blinking lights to convince you you've "gamed" when you really haven't. You're the reason why video games are so shit now.
These two.
>That's a lot of QTEs.
It's really not given the length of the missions themselves.
>QTEs bug me in all forms.
You haven't even said why they bug you your entire argument is "NO THEY'RE BAD"
Aside from being buggy as hell and having a barely functional netcode that was already infested with foreign cheaters at launch?
Kid icarus switch by platinum when?
>name a more iconic villain duo, I'll wait
Don't respond to him.
DICE ain't the villain, they're brainwashed by EA.
...
I haven't played in years so I can't remember exactly how many they were but I remember there were too many for my taste. The only good thing about the QTEs in W101 is that they had funny cutscenes for failing them but usually I would prefer if QTEs were just cutscenes
In general I find that QTEs take a lot of the focus away from paying attention to the cutscene and move it towards anticipating QTEs and executing them properly
>FIFA Street
shh
>In general I find that QTEs take a lot of the focus away from paying attention to the cutscene and move it towards anticipating QTEs and executing them properly
That doesn't really apply to W101.
Several are just mashing ones where you can both perform the QTE and pay attention to the game and the others are Unite Morph ones where they essentially pause the cutscene for the QTE meaning no focus is taken from either.
Makes me wonder if he was the user in a SotC thread from awhile back claiming the fights were all garbage QTEs.
Killed by EA, Saboteur was their last game
Pretty sure they had nothing to do with Star Fox Guard.
90% of QTE complaints and "muh cinematic gameplay" posts are ACfag.
...
i can hear it in my head, man.
nba street vol 3
I think that way of thinking is to closed minded, if you can do more for a game outside of just a single core gameplay mechanic, you should, especially when it would otherwise be to mechanical, humans are more than machines, we need interaction and appeal otherwise what's the point?
A game that's made by Sonic Team
As long as it dosen't have Sonic on it
That's a sign of a Great Game
Signs that you're playing a overrated game
nu-tendo yes old-tendo no
Only correct post in this thread.
They're not as flawless as some would have you think, but I'd much rather play one of their misses than those of any other company in this thread.
I think it's more dependent on franchise than time period.
Not the retard from early, but I don't really like QTEs because they're not challenging. I can think of maybe one time where I actually struggling to mash hard enough to succeed and that was cool, but otherwise they're always piss easy. But I do also recognize that some things are just hard to implement into actual gameplay, so at least it kind of feels like you're doing something.
