There are people who will actually argue that the characters in this game are properly developed. Who the hell can be so blind to actually defend such crap?

Everyone knows that the apologists for this game are nothing more than fushoji with little gaming experience, obsessed with making it seem as though their skinny bishounen boys are anything but trash characters.

Ignis.

Gladio's the only good one

Elaborate.

They were developed. In supplementary material

Ignis' only motivation in his DLC is to protect *muh chosen king*.

kek

Didn't they basically scrap Verses XIII and then slapped a few changes on it and called it a day?
The lighting effects look like trash and the battle seems half finished.

Gladio is as underdeveloped as the others but at least he isn't fushoji/bishounen bait.

This game is the worst fucking thing that ever happened to me. Pic attached had a better story than 15.

*Tabata san pleaaase give us a second season pass to see more of Ravus, we are so willing to pay more for this incomplete game*

>Didn't they basically scrap Verses XIII and then slapped a few changes on it and called it a day?
More like they took away Noctis' primary motive of revenge, cut the female lead and replaced her with a doll, compressed the plotpoints of what would be 3 games, and generally made a concerted effort to fuck shit up

Also that cool opening where the city is attacked and jumpstarts the whole story? It's made into a shitty movie that's (unironically) worse than Advent Children.

I saw the signs a mile a away and ran, despite waiting for the game for ten years.

>Who the hell can be so blind to actually defend such crap?
Barry.

Ignis > Gladio >>> Noctis >>>>>> Prompto

Who is this Barry you speak of and how pathetic is he?

Ignis is a Marty Stu though.

That should speak volumes about the overall quality of XV's cast when he's the best and most likeable character. For the record, I haven't touched this game's DLC in any capacity so I'm not sure if any of them get any sort of meaningful development there but from the base game Ignis was by far the best.

>you need to play an unrelated demo, a mobile gacha, watch an anime, a manga and a film to understand the characters and the plot of a $60 game
The absolute state of square

Likeable =/= good character. There are many characters in the game that may be likeable but none of them is an actual good character because none of them are actually developed, have meaningful character arcs get any substantial insight into them.

And people are willing to pay more for a second season pass. The state of Final Fantasy.

Ignis is likeable but there is no substance to him. Gladiolus seems to be struggling with his role as Shield but they never delve into it. Prompto gets a melodramatic conflict with no setup and no payoff whatsoever. Noctis sucks.

Best character in the game != inherently a good character

>People arguing that there are any good characters in this game.

XV-kun, he'll defend any and every facet of this game and unironically considers it to be one of the best games of all time.

Spatial awareness lmao

Does he even play video games?

They've not developed but they're fairly charming. People love FFX and that game had actual dogshit for characters.

Why did three of the main characters have to be twinks? Why not add playable Aranea or Cidney or Iris instead?

Tell me about it, I really hate that game and everyone who likes it as well, they all need to die, anti-FFXV forever.

Barely.

A game where your party consists of Ignis, Aranea, Gladiolus and Cindy. Now that's a game I want to play.

I know you're being condescending and sarcastic but I unironically agree with this sentiment.

>Gladio
>No character arc, but they throw in him committing to some nameless girl in the end, as if he was a playboy during the game
>Ignis
>He deals with his blindness off-screen, making it unexplored
>Prompto
>All of his character arcs are the exact same and revolve around self esteem

>He deals with his blindness off-screen, making it unexplored
Play the DLC.

He doesn't overcome his blindness in the DLC and I shouldn't HAVE to buy DLC just to experience an arc or development for these characters. That's the main problem with this game.

*I must sacrifice my sight for muh chosen king!*

I don't think the second season pass will be a success.

There's still an entire game's worth of content left to be added though.

You see Gladio be quite the player in the terrible Assassin's Creed crossover, at least ?

>special awareness
>all QTEs in FFXV are literally the same single button (Circle)

awareness indeed

Yeah, but I don't think many will pay for it. I got the season pass on launch and would NEVER buy another for this game. It was a rip-off and you're better off just watching them on YouTube.

And that's the problem, we had to wait months for a stupid commercial for AC to see that and Prompto foreshadowing his Magitek origins.

>bought a ps3 at launch to play FF and TLG
>both eventually are released on the ps4
>fucking 8 years later, both look like shit and I’ve never played them even though I own a PS4
Fuck this gay earth

I liked TLG but the performance for it, even on the Pro, was unacceptable.

Theres no aspect of any video game that needs "defending" stop taking this shit so seriously

The game practically yells at you to parry as well.

Gladio's struggle at least gets brought up during his dlc but it amounts to jack shit pretty much.

If you care about spoilers for a DLC you don't want then don't go further.
Ignis's Dlc contains an alternate timeline where he never gets blinded and then everything goes on to have a happy ending.

Hey, at least Daddiolus gets a shirtless outfit out of it.

Yeah and it's not even bad stat wise.
All I was really getting at is that it doesn't help his character development as much as I feel people would like.

>hang on guys i got business to take care of
>gladio leaves the party
later...
>whoa gladdy what happed to you man
>buy the DLC to find out, faggot
>repeat for every character
fuck this game

Not at all. His father gets killed and it isn't even brought up in the game.

I think Cor gets more developement in Gladio's DLC than Gladio himself.

Play comrades.

I think Cor has more screentime in Gladio's DLC than he did in the base game.

>Play comrades.

if it wasn't $20.

Maybe $10 for that buggy mess full of loading screens and sub-par combat

Idk Gladio's Dlc is like 30 minutes long but Cor is in at least 20 minutes of it so you're probably right.

>sub-par combat
Found the brainlet who hasn't seen gameplay.

>just dodge rolls

am I supposed to be impressed?

Yes.

>Yes

I already played it.

It's fucking terrible.

then you failed to impress

Oh your post made it seem like you didn't, in that case sorry for your loss user.

>It's fucking terrible.
This.

It's all good user. I hope you didn't buy it either.

It's literately just mindless grinding and crafting. It's awful.

I did, I also decided to go through all 3 once Ignis released.
While I don't hate the game, it definitely dropped the ball in some places.
But boy is the Assassin's festival ass.

>It's awful.
I know, that's why I agreed with your other post.

Stop it. It's not that bad.

I know, I was agreeing with you.

It's sad that the AC fes had more character development than most of the game.

Please don't say that, I don't want to finish it.

They are better developed than any other FF cast is, they feel more human, more fleshed out, more believable, everything from their animations to their banter to the story dialog to their sidequest dialog to their battle coop moves to the events that transpire solidify that fact, they have the best dynamic out of any FF cast. Only an underage shitstain who's never had friends before would think otherwise.

Why'd you samefag? Everyone knows you never played it.

No you don't.

The game is shit as are the characters and Tabata.

...

>More like they took away Noctis' primary motive of revenge
No they didn't.

>cut the female lead and replaced her with a doll
You mean cut a literal who and replaced with someone who is basically the Zelda of the game

Meanwhile making the game more focused and concise better than it ever was before.

And no advent children is complete trash compared to kingsglaive.

this guy gets it

No he isn't.

It has the best characters and villain out of any FF.

...

Wow. This game is shit.

Are you saying Bayonetta doesn't have QTEs?

Literally this.

The combat is great, bugs are fixed and loadtimes were reduced. I know you're still just regurgitating what maku mentioned weeks ago despite him enjoying it but you need to exaggerated any flaw now, and ignore when theyre addressed, don't you?

>t-that 3 second clip doesn't count

No it's great. Obviously you're full of shit.woodfie calle

I hate that they aren't just making new FFXV games and keep tossing in new, equally half-baked addons into this completely half-baked game.

I can't take it fucking seriously when Kingsglaive exists and contains possibly all the most important plot elements for the entire story of the game, yet the movie itself is written as if it was from a completely different draft than what the game was.

The concept of a Kingsglaive? Practically doesn't exist in the game, even though it would've been the PERFECT way to show Noctis's development and readiness to become a king after obtaining the ring and the timeskip. He should've given his party members magic like Regis did with the Kingsglaive, made them more important so they actually contributed anything at all.

The guy who led the Kingsglaive was simultaneously the Imperial army's commander, and had been for over a decade, and was a fucking random peasant. He led a double life running both nations' most prestigious military positions with absolutely no reason as to how he was THIS GODDAMN AMAZING, nevermind arousing any suspicion on how he was able to travel back and forth between the two. And part of his character motivation is because of Regis's cowardice to hide behind walls... which he only did after his family was assaulted at Tenebrae, an attack that Glauca PERSONALLY FUCKING LED. Oh and this guy singlehandedly kills Regis in 1v1 combat with no gimmicks, no problem, and Noctis never even learns about him or is told anything about this.

Lunafreya in the game knows that if she dies, the world is completely fucked because she is the Oracle. Without her, they are going to be ravaged by the starscourge, she can't risk her life. In the movie, she is borderline suicidal and is treated as if she is purely a political tool, instead of an Oracle needed to prevent the world from being destroyed by space plankton.

And so fucking much more. Jesus christ, it's a trainwreck.

They havnt even played it, it's just the usual samefag shitposter that calls everyone barry or xv-kun.

Comrades doesn't fix the combat. It just tweaks it to be more tolerable, in between large swaths of painfully long loading times. Granted, you actually have to be a bit smarter about healing and taking damage than being able to basically throw yourself at a brick wall and heal the damages with spam in the main game, but that doesn't suddenly make it "fixed" nor really on-par with other action RPGs.

Nope, go back to your KH thread. Your samefagging is obvious.

Trainwreck of shit.

Wow your samefagging is shit.

Came here to post this desu.

It's really not that bad. I'd say it's better than X and a lot of you nerds seem to love that one

The 2018 dlc are gonna be bigger than this years one because they aren't gonna be spread out doing a bunch of little things and other side things seperate from them, they're only doing the three and are making them in order instead of all three at the same time, this was mentioned in the last ATR.

Considering how rushed and slapped together the final product feels like, and the fact that even up to the day one patch they were still tweaking and altering scenes and randomly inserting Kingsglaive and Omen footage awkwardly, I wouldn't be surprised if it really was an earlier draft. As in, "Hey we wrote the plot for Kingsglaive. Oh wait, what do you mean the game's writers are throwing around new stuff? Tabata, what are you- oh goddammit."

FF4,6,7,9,10 are remembered as masterpieces. XV will never be more than a disjointed, disappointing mess.

Reply to this post with one legit reason FFXV is shit that everyone can agree on

It's so obvious you're samefagging
