25+ year old club. What games will you be playing this weekend?
/25+/
The division enjoying 1.8 immensely
I'm playing BOTW and it's stellar stuff. It's easily on par with the first two games and loads better than the post-Ocarina shit we've been eating for the last two decades. I've been replaying WW jsut recently, and it's handholding garbage. BOTW may not be Zelda II or anything, but it's a challenging and expansive game compared to the fish jumping out of the sea and giving you the solution to puzzles before you've even found the puzzles themselves.
Siege, haven't played much of it in the last 4/5 months due to limited free time that I dedicated to single player games but im going to play it a lot this weekend, theres so many ops and two maps I don't have much experience with now but im still loving every match I play, the fatigue I usually eventually feel with multiplayer games has yet to kick in with Siege.
Welp, did everyone ITT die of old age?
does 24 and a half count? don't leave me out guys
Nothing because I have a ton of shit to do this weekend, please kill me, I shouldn't be doing the things I have chosen to and there's nothing else I can do
HoMM 3, as always. Maybe FlatOut UC.
Personally I consider 23 and 24 to be close enough to count for these threads.
gonna relive some psx nostalgia
Been thinking of replaying RE 1 - 3 actually. I've had the REmake HD edition on steam since release but have to play through it (played it through on the gamecube a ton of times though) I've mostly been playing first person shooters, Quake, Quake 2, Blood, Hexen, for the past month and I'm getting a bit burnt out on them.
Bloodborne and finish up RE5 on PC.
Dude its like 6 in the morning here.
Zelda BotW, Siege
something? got an xbone (buddy upgraded to 1xbone and sold me his old bone on the slightly cheap) so probably cod ghosts and lords of the fallen, maybe. kinda wanna do online for awhile. OOOH just reminded me: i can get on l4d2 when i have a chance to get a xbux card
Do you feel that it counts? If you do, then it does.
Replaying DMC1. I've played it on my PS2 up til now, but the systems motor recently finally ran out on it. So atm i'm stuck using the PS3's shitty software emulation for now. At least i'll have the game on PC in a few months via the HD collection.
he is probably an Australian which is about 9 pm over there. Gonna be playing tales of vesperia after this post
Well I'm 28 but feel like 50 so sure.
>tfw I am 24 years old
>too old for most of Sup Forums
>too young for this thread
Have you played the Castlevania for gzdoom thing? It's pretty damng reat and also runs on Linux. It's melee-centric and actually has decent whip combat.
Overwatch to get that sweet Daddy Santa Torbjorn costume. Or Xcom 2's "War of the Chosen".
Loved Enemy Unknown and vanilla Xcom 2. It was either that or Persona 5. Fingers crossed I made the best purchase.
Are you over 25? Do you own a computer? Then you MUST post in this thread!
Going with some old friends to play some HoMM2 hotseat at a buddy's place this evening.
Battlerite has a cool new 1v1 event so playing some of that since it's short 5 min matches and no one gets mad if something comes up and I leave.
Nice ok, well I bought myself a dreamcast and imported copy of resident evil 2 jail card edition and since I'm on paid leave from work I get to dedicate my very essence to that game.
Party on my elders
I've been playing this series casually since the first Arcana Heart on the PS2.
They did go overboard with the new girl's design. Sheesh...
>playing C&C on PS1.
I know your pain. Just download OpenRA.
you could always play some video games
systems motor? you mean disc tray/laser? because you can still softmod that shit
see
its cool
>tfw I'll be one of you in two months
I NEVER THOUGHT I'D DIE ALONE I LAUGHED THE LOUDEST WHO'D HAVE KNOWN?
Dragon quest 8, I just beat doug-magus and totally forgot the difficulty spike. That maggot was hard to beat. Feel REALLY good.
Btw, is DQ 7 for 3ds as good as DQ8 if I like the combats and challenge of DQ8?
Painkiller black edition. After I finish working on the weekends ofc.
Maybe try the Force Unleashed games, as I was pretty poor around that time and they where cheap online.
Some Destiny 2 garbage
Maybe a little KI
Gonna emulate some GBA games, planning on doing FE7 and Metroid Fusion. Here's hoping I don't lose interest partway and just play some recent AAA title
Incidentally, does anyone else feel a little guilty for still playing games at your age? I know something something timeless hobby and all that, but I'm legitimately scared I'll still be playing vidya on the weekends when I'm 30+
look at the plus side user, you can do finance for yourself and know where all your money went. Unlike if you were in a relationship.
No, that looks pretty cool though. I'll give it a try.
The disc just will not spin anymore. Acts like the laser isn't even connected. I still have to look into it, i'm not entirely sure on all the technicalities. Have had to replace the laser itself once before though.
I'm deathly afraid of the time that's coming within the next decade when my already shit reflexes degrade even further. Am I going to be abandoned by games on a biological level? Where do I go from there?
>resident evil 2 jail card edition
What is this?
Doesn't matter. You can hook up the console to your pc via network cable, or just use an internal/external hard drive depending on fat or slim ps2 and load up the games that way. Free MC Boot, look into it.
TF2 in dx85 mode, currently on a crappy old laptop while i wait for the ram i ordered to get here from overseas.
When that gets here i'll probably play Battlefront 2 as i enjoyed the beta and the previous game.
Man, flavour-justified difficulty spikes are as good as unjustified level difficulty is bad. When the story tells you an enemy is super-powerful, but then it's just another enemy marginally harder than the previous one, it's always a letdown. Game designers should fucking learn to either adjust their story to the difficulty curve or the difficulty curve to their story. Clown Vegeta was breaking gates and murdering heroes left and right, and when you finally corner him, he's by far the strongest piece of shit you've encountered in the game. And the script even has a justification for him being beatable at all. It's all just so well done.
I've actually just finished playing Jill's story in REmake, and I still suck ass at inventory management. out of the 6 hours It took me to beat it 1.5 hours were me running back and forth across the mansion to pick up key items. still pretty fun though, got Chris out but Barry died against Lisa even when I gave him the gun back
I've got to stop grinding and finish up Phantom Brave then it's on to Romancing Saga 2.
>tfw too old probably for even this thread
I'm playing ffxiii and no one can stop me
It's a bit pointless if you aren't nostalgic for classicvanias, of course. but if you are, it's stellar entertainment. It's very well put together.
Don't you need a disc to install that though, or has that changed since I did it?
>Persona 5, 100 hours in, 4th palace, literally in love with makoto
>Vivid dreams about life with my makoto only to wake up the cold reality
>Only death will bring us together, ending her suffering and my own
JA2, just started it last week.
Don't know if I'm making decent progress or not, apparently the game penalizes you if your progress is too slow. I hate it when open world games do this. Now I feel like I have to micromanage shit 100% efficiently and I can't enjoy the game as much as I should be able to.
Blasting through Syphon Filter 1 for the first time. Having played 2 and 3 a bunch of times before I can really appreciate the consistency between all 3 games = same hud, same controls , same menus, same everything. Makes it very easy to just jump in and play and enjoy. Even though some minor details are a bit rough around the edges compared to the sequels, but it makes sense for a very first game.
>tfw too old probably for even this thread
Probably not. I'm 32. Been here since 2005. I think most of us ITT are closer to 30 rather than 20, family men and all.
Will look into it now then, thanks.
i'm sorry i meant code veronica, I did also buy re2 so i got mixed up
You can just order a memory card that has shit installed on it already via ebay, its like 10$ or whatever. Or get it done on a friends ps2.
It is a 25+ thread so that would make sense.
4X/strategy/turn-based games? Your mind will basically last forever if you keep it healthy
Nice, enjoy it user, CV is a very good classic RE if you can detach the silly story from the core game part.
CV has by far the best save theme too, music is great. Expect to get lost slightly more than in other RE games, there is more to explore and its sort of hubbish in terms of map layout so there is also slightly more backtgracking. Don't be afraid to use knife, its not useless.
27. I will be playing Shadow the Hedgehog. Please don't judge me.
But I'm a brainlet who can't get good at strategy games.
27 here. I'm playing Overwatch for my FPS fix and Thief Gold for my "actual fun" fix.
God Thief is such a cool game, I just wish I could figure out how the guards work exactly, sometimes they find out where I am instantly even if I don't make a single sound and I stay in complete darkness, other times I can run up to them and blackjack their dumb faces over stone floors. Shit's weird man.
I must be misunderstanding the surface mechanics in some way.
Probably Rimworld, Observer, and at some point I'm going to my cousins house to play some old Nintendo games (NES-N64). Gonna kick his ass in Fighters Destiny.
>Energy wave every time you try to rise your character tension
>Finally beat his fun-clown ass
>He turn into some motherfucking doom tier demon and the camera zoom right into his angry face for the entire fight
ironically?
30 here been in this place since 2006 or so. Going to pick up the bioshock collection today.
Enjoy your 20's and drinking without having to recover from a hangover the next day.
hey thanks man, good shit, what are you playing?
As someone who gave it a shot couple of months ago I can only say to completely avoid the ps2 version, framerate is just horrible.
Probably just some Stellaris so i can enjoy a movie at the same time or Siege if i can find anyone to play with.
I'll try to finish Persona 4, or at least continue playing it. Also Golden Sun, replaying the whole saga.
dude golden sun is my shit
>tfw last time I went out drinking I didn't get that drunk, however I still had a fucking hangover
I must have eaten too much, this shit was infuriating.
Genuine question. How can you 25+ people stomach the Persona games? I can't think of a game that wastes your time more than those ones.
24 3/4 here.
Downloaded cstlevania a few days ago for my psp (sotn) so probably gonna tackle that for a bit, then grniding gw2 a bit, probably some barorauma inbetween and later when mgs5 is done torrenting that. Have been burning to play a stealth action game for a couple of days now
for me it captures you in its aesthetic, that lets me enjoy it even though i'm an adult now
bf4
it's surprisingly fun desu, i like the grind and the shooting is fantastic especially because i'm pretty good at it too
Can this thread be the 30+ club instead?
Symphony of the night, for the first time too. Its very confusing on a blind run
Waifus
31yo
Persona 5, Ghost Recon Wildlands and E.Y.E.
>on Sup Forums
>not liking anime
Where do you people come from?
Ah yeah I know that one. I've been thinking about castlevania a lot lately, might have a go at it as well
I'm not sure how i feel about P5. It feels like it tries a little too hard to be "cool".
>Being a degenerate drunktard
Weed>alcohol
Just post and don't think you are so special.
Anime is gay but that's not what I meant. I meant way too repetitive dungeons, silly story and just doing one and the same thing for like 60 hours or so. It's like an even more basic bitch Final Fantasy but for people with a bit more narrow and precise taste. There are actually decent jRPGs to enjoy out there.
The game's setting is immersive, demon fusion system makes sure you always have something to look forward to, and the sense of camaraderie is quite pleasant.
Lots of newfags that don't realize this was and always will be an anime website whether they like it or not.
At some point you simply grow out of enjoying rehashed cartoons with different hair colors.
It will happen to you too.
I've been here for close to 10 years now and never got into anime until this year.
That's like a lanklet going to the gym and on the first day complaining that he can't bench 200. You'll get better the more you play (and use your brain)
I just started it and played it for 6.5 hours str8. It does so many things so well, but I was actually kind of disappointed what it turned into after the 5.5 hour "tutorial" ended. Will see how it goes.
path of exile
I'm on the 30+ train and I made a deal with myself when I was much younger that I will never get out of the stuff. I'm a lifer. That being said most anime is shit nowadays. Whenever there is a season of nothing interesting looking I go watch an old classic anime I heard alot about. 90% of the time the classics live up to the hype.
This.
That's why I started looking at superior mini horse show.
Trixie best pon3, we need a mlp persona
Fixed the Wi-Fi cables in my house today, some of the old ones died because of my shitty patch jobs years ago.
Still playing BOTW. Can't be bothered to do the main quests, everything else is great fun.
The VN parts and schedule management are mainly what people like but Personas are great because there is so many and you can fuse them and shit.
I have 1354 completed and have been lurking for 12 years, I'm never stopping.
It's a fun ride, I really can't stand western movies or cartoons at all anymore.
>stoners calling others degenerate
I bet you are also totally not addicted and that you could totally quit any time right?
It gets to a point where all you see is tropes. There's only like one good anime a year.
>Wi-Fi cables
>ponyfuckers are the anti-anime newfags
didn't see that coming
i got over this by watching most shows that air each season. the direct copies of other shows you can drop but i'll watch shitty shows for just 1 character.
I started coming here in 2007 but only started watching anime in 2013 when I was unemployed.
Mafia, maybe some Secret of Evermore, maybe some Super Mario RPG
wanted to start playing Star Ocean
