The first one is clunky as hell, the upgrade mechanic is a pain in the ass, and it runs like shit.
The third one adopted mechanics from bloodborne that I don't like. It's a strange mix full of references to the first one. It's obvious they milked the cow way too much with the third one.

I thought Sup Forums pretended the game was good.

I kinda like the gameplay but the world feels so paper thin it is really hard to enjoy it like I did in Dark Souls. And none of the bosses were kinda memorable like those in the first game. Maybe Velstadt, but not much else.

DaS2/SOTFS is a 6/10 game. It only makes you go "wow this is shit" because all of the games in the same series are better. Id rather play it over DaS3 because DaS3 is fucking boring as shit nowadays especially PVP but DaS3 is hands down constructed better even if it the bastard child of BB/DaS1

DaS2 has the best core gameplay in the series. Its a shame BB didn't stay separate from DaS and they made DaS3 way to fast without making it feel like it should be. DaS2 controlled well and felt chess piecy its just the game was shit.

It's not really bad but Soul memory was a stupid fucking idea, completely made coop not viable unless you got the ring that stops you from accumulating souls. So if you're wanted to sunbro you're basically fucked without it. On that note miracles also sucked. As a single player game it wasn't bad but the way they tried to incorporate coop or pvp while limiting people fucked over one of the funnest parts of the game.

Because its unremarkable and plays like shit. What I wanna know is why a small minority on Sup Forums pretends its anything special outside DLC. I can replay the other Souls games but always skip this one.
