Fortnite gets my vote. It does lack the superior gunplay of pubg, but they've already issued statements on what they are aiming to do with the gunplay so I'm happy to stick with it.

Especially considering unlike pubg this game gets frequent patches and actually listens to feedback.

Every test server has done that, and gone back to being shit in vanilla. It's fucking hilarious because I used to get 130 fps back in March, and after June they've only lost FPS until I was averaging a really jittery 80 that dip as low as 50.

It's conceptually a good game but in reality it's a buggy piece of aids that needs nuked and rebuilt from scratch.

I've played a bit of Fortnite with my PUBG squad mates and it was fun, but a lot easier and not nearly as rewarding. H1Z1 is trash.

Best BR games is PUBG, but the best game of those is def Fortnite.

No they fucking haven't you lying shit. I've been playing since March and some updates gave a couple FPS extra, some updates gave a couple FPS less, no test server build (other than the first build with vaulting in November) has had such a massive gain in performance.

H1Z1 is legit dead, Fortnite replaced it. Devs had the headstart but didn't add shit and took too long to add basic features
Fortnite is the arcadey fast paced game, PUBG is the clunky slow paced game.
Fortnite runs very well, and it nails the art style. PUBG test runs pretty good now, but it looks like absolute shit while doing so.

PUBG is more fun for me personally. I hate the shields in Fortnite, and while I love the building I just can't stand buildings AND third person.

The framerate IS atrocious, but a lot of this video seems to be "look at these ridiculous gunfights", when both players can't aim for shit. No lock-on to make console babies feel like they can aim.

Wait a couple of days and buy the 1.0 release, from what's on the test servers it's substantially smoother and less janky than the current live build.

It's one of those games that's always going to have "wouldn't this be cool if they added..." factor to it though.

I wish fortnite had some first-person only mode. Third-person in games like these always felt really cheap to me since it means you can peek just about anywhere with zero risk, giving a massive advantage to defenders in a game where moving is already risky enough.

Large map is not an inherent +. The map could definitely be a bit larger, but PUBG's, you need a car to traverse anything in a decent speed and getting one isn't a guarantee. I'd say the maps, excluding scale, are about equal overall however.

H1Z1 was fun 2 years ago but has since been replaced by PUBG. Fortnite is shallow casual fun but it does get dull after not long.

Not since Survival Games 3. Survival Games 1 and 2 were great when that was all the possible maps.

Technically yes, but in my personal experience, I've found downtime assuming car in PUBG, are about the same between the 2. You spend about the same amount of time driving/running around in each between segments of stealth and/or combat followed by looting.

from what I've experienced in fortnite, there's very little looting to be done after the first fight, because almost everything will already be looted before you get there, due to people landing closer, and as such you're just running

I meant killing and looting their corpses primarily. Also one point in Fortnite's favor is that matches are overall shorter. Not by a whole lot, but definitely shorter. One point against it is also that matches are shorter and encounters are faster. Cause if you die, you're right back to waiting for another match. Net time spent waiting assuming you aren't a suicidal retard who dies in the first 30 seconds consistently is definitely higher than PUBG.

Still waiting for open source reboot of Unreal Tournament to get on Steam, don't hold your breath.
