VIDYA OPERATION

Oh no, doctor! There are so many cancers killing video games, but we only have time to operate on one!

What is the worst cancer killing video games that needs to be removed right away?

>operating on TB
You forgot the /r/pcmasterrace idiots that start wailing if something dips to 59 fps

You mean the retards who spend $2500 on a monster rig only to play casual shit and console ports.

THAT'S ONE FRAME LESS EVERY SECOND COMPARED TO THE GLORIOUS PC MASTER RACE YOU FILTHY PEASANT

JRPGs easily
kill all weebs

Definitely DLC

literally me

except the reddit part

Early Access has to be treated as early as possible

You faggots watch yourselves or I will hit the casual button

How do they hurt the industry though? By having high standards?

getting rid of AAA Devs will retroactively remove casuals and pre-orders

DLC, Microtransactions and Early Access are the only valid ones on that list

Online updates are one of the most severe cancers killing gaming. While patches that add content and fix bugs can be really nice, it means now that loads of companies don't bother doing any rigorous play or bug testing because they can just let the first wave of buyers do that for them and then patch all the shit that should have been caught pre-release over the first few months.

>totalbiscuit
>has two fucking titans for muh max performance
>1.34 k/d in fucking overwatch

Will it be 2.01 k/d with three titans?

It's lazy and greedy from the game devs/publishers, but it's hardly one of the biggest reasons western games are dying. If I just had to wait a few weeks for games to be patched and there were literally no other problems with games, I'd be pretty pleased.

Fair enough. It just kind of bugs me that everything always being online nowadays means that a lot of the shitty big devs have realised they can release unfinished products and use the consumer as free bugtesting.

I tend to stay away from freshly released games for that reason. I usually wait at least a couple days to see if the game is buggy/terribly optimized as is often the case. AAA titles usually aren't worth the $60 admission price anyway.

Yeah, same. I usually wait anywhere between a few months to a year before getting a shiny new game so that the price will have gone done a bit and some of the bugs will have been ironed out.

Pre-orders are just a thing.
Micro-Transactions are stage-4 DLC. (And part of why Preorders have become a cancer)
Mobile suffers from stage-4 micro-transactions from its inception.
Early Access shows why a lot of games just get cancelled in the AAA scene.
AAA is what it has always been. Problem with them is that there's nothing really between AAA and Indie anymore.
The Casual shall always be with you. The problem is they tend to contribute to the Stage-4 Microtransaction cancer.
We saw what happened last time we tried to get Games Journalism to stop being less cancerous. A lot of idiots took it over and neutered the movement by trying to deflect from the real issues.
Free-to-Play is an interesting thing. It can be done right, but more often it is just more Stage-4 micro-transactions.
E-Sports are retarded, and they are used as an excuse by a lot of devs for some completely fucking retarded decisions.

Ultimately, I lay a lot at the feet of DLC. Very rarely to we see one that is equal to a quality expansion pack of yore. And it feeds naturally into the predatory nature of micro-transactions.

Though, it seems like the EA has finally gotten close to pushing micro-transactions too hard. They'll still make a retarded profit because of them, but it might get the governments of the world to say, "No, fuck that and fuck you." Though it could also end up with EA writing the law, and fucking anyone who isn't them.

I only buy GPU's if theyre like 180 bucks, which is actually a great price bracket. I used to have a radeon 6870 that lasted me from 2011-2016. Now I have an RX 470 which is also great.

I play most games on highest settings at 1080p. Maybe not with full AA or hairworks lol, but it works. Except nier automata, that game was gookshit and unoptimized as fuck.

I cant stand these 4k screen motherfuckers. Its like every year a higher resolution. I remember it was 1440p at first, then like 2400, now 4k, etc... like, I just want to hit good FPS at 1080p ffs.

>early :^)

1440p and 4K have been around for years but I've never heard of 2400p monitors

Getting rid of the casuals is the obvious choice. They enable all of those cancers except JRPGs.

Casuals
as a byproduct of its elimination journalism and twitch streamers will be gone for certain and basically everything else will be much less prevalent

It's a tie between E-Sports and Twitch Streamers
E-Sports ruins fun casual games by incorporating a tryhard scene while Twitch streamers give good games lots of reception from the wrong crowds. Not to mention they basically create the FotM games

JRPGS
Fuck you Weebs

Out of the loop for a while now, what's wrong with JRPGs? legit asking

Muh weebs

literally nothing wrong with twitch and e-sports
fuck jrpgs though bottom of the barrel trash games

>likes e-sports
>hate jrpgs

t. casual

>Didn't put actual cancer near his bum
You're already making a cancer joke, why not go through with it full swing?

>plays braindead turn based weeb trash
