>No summon signs near flamelurker
What went wrong?
No summon signs near flamelurker
The server are shutting down
Another 3(4) games came out with more refined mechanics
It's been eight years.
I managed to invade someone in 4-2 some hours ago and later did maneaters with the same guy. It's not completely dead.
>What went wrong?
not being able to beat flamelurker by yourself.
Your build
Yeah, same but with 1-2
But I want summons and get summoned
Fuck off, he always was nightmare on the low levels. And always will be.
Why not remaster this shit on PS4 and get it up and running again. The original, the best.
Sony doesn't have full rights on it and atlus were jewish dicks about any similarities during das development period
Just get the Thief's Ring and cheese it you bitch.. There's a part of the room where it can get stuck and can't find pathfind its way out. Stock up on arrows and get to it ya pansy.
You don't belong here
I'm SL 130, do people even try to beat Old Monk anymore?
...
It's even more dead than das3
What did those games refine other than weapon upgrading?
DeS > DaS series
What I mean is that DeS has been dead for years because there are newer games out, that's all there is to it.
It was already a fairly cult game to begin with.
Online mechanics(except das3, this one only degraded them)
Moveset for weapons
Plunge attack
The only things I can think about.
Das killed parry system though, das2 fixed it a little but still wasn't the same.
Is it worth getting a PS3 to play this game?
(I also wanna do Shadow of the Colossus HD and Persona 5 and have a Bluray player I guess.)
Yes
YES
No
>Online mechanics
Dark Souls actually botched this by introducing the shitty middle man that is covenants.
maybe
yes
yes, probably my favourite of the series. Didnt play DaS2 or 3 though
Majority vote wins.
I'll get one after the Holidays when everyone sells their dirt cheap because they received a PS4.
Just for DeS? No. But it's probably worth it for DeS, SotW and P5.
DS1/2 had shit online mechanics.
Your post doesn't make sense
Even if we take just das and it's terrible peer online system.
>You could summon and invade, just like in des
But
>You could be summoned even if you aren't in the hollow form
>No risk for invader at all compared to des, which made invasions more popular and noob friendly than ever
None of it was butchering
Also
>Unlike des you couldn't become human anywhere you wanted, so you need to take risk and get through level if you wanted summon friends
This was direct improvement
Covenants were just
>Sunfags expanded summon range
>Forest gave you auto summon
Both were additional features you can't call butchering
i'm playing it rn but i'm kinda meh on it. after having played DaS1,3 and BB i'm finding myself not enjoying it too much.
i don't know what it is about it, i love the aesthetic and the gameplay, i've had fun playing, but i just kinda feel like i want to give up. i'm not even stuck at a particular point, i've just lost interest in the game. i feel like i've experienced all it has to offer being half way through.
Funny you say that, I've replayed just last week since 6 or 7 years, beat it in 2 weeks, was fun again
i think i'm comparing it too much to the modern soulsborne games and therefore expecting too much from it.
Pretty much it
Unironically das and das3 are the only games I can't force myself to replay anymore.
Das is just straight downgrade after des, and das3 doesn't has any redeeming qualities at all.
>Needing help to beat Flamelurker
i place dark souls 3 in the same category as 1, shit's so much fun
Sony owns both Demon's Souls and BloodBorne IPs, mate, It's all on them.
I don't
There nothing fun about it
Needing help to beat flamelurker is oldest souls Sup Forums meme though.
Fucking newfags
eh, i enjoyed it and the DLC too. perhaps a little too easy in places than i'd liked, but maybe that's because DaS3 was just more of the same Das1 but faster.
>You could summon and invade, just like in des
You could "invade just like in DeS" if you hit up a guide and went through the bother of beating at least 2 mid/late bosses early to gain the ability to do so, otherwise you were using a shitty single-use item.
>Unlike des you couldn't become human anywhere you wanted, so you need to take risk and get through level if you wanted summon friends
I don't even know what this means. There's literally nothing stopping you from summoning at the start of a level.
So in all, the "refinements" DaS made over DeS's online abilities were expanded summon range if you joined a club and auto-summon on another club while dropping actual servers in favour of a laggy peer to peer system.
I have 25 hours on it, didn't beat it yet bacause I'm lazy. The atmosphere and levels are amazing and quite unique, is just that I really wasn't expecting it none of it considering being an 2009 low budget game.
Even if I never got to beat the game I'll at least understand why it became an cult hit. I may even play dark souls some day in the future.
>Get it stuck on a stone on the floor
>Shoot it with magic or shit
Wow that was hard.
>I don't even know what this means. There's literally nothing stopping you from summoning at the start of a level.
Biggest bullshit I heard
First until PC release summoning signs were mostly near foggates, shits carried from des
Second you still needed to go through level in human form, and until das2/bloodborne/das3 levels were still part of the game and you could die during walkthrough even after opening shortcuts. So yes being able to become human only near bonfire and not anywhere greatly improved online experience
>to gain the ability to do so, otherwise you were using a shitty single-use item.
Never was a problem, you could farm them easier than humanity. And farming humanity was really fucking easy
>Biggest bullshit I heard
You are a retard. There is literally no reason you cannot do this. I vividly remember playing on launch and dropping my summon sign down at the first bonfire in Undead Burg.
This is because you are PC kid
I've literally never touched the PC version.
No need to deny it, it's obvious that you never played on consoles
Flamelurker is easy to cheese if you're really that bad.
