Battle Network actually ended though. The Megaman franchise in general has 10x as many games as most other franchises and it has the bitchiest fanbase of all time for complaining how they don't have another 100 games to not play but atleast they can argue that some of the other series don't have a formal ending.

Not gonna get my hopes up. I was burned last time

Battle Network has long finished. ZX is the one that still needs a proper ending.

New games are always the coolest.
But for real. Do you think we could get a Mega Man Battle Network collection for the Switch, and here is the important part, with wi-fi communication features replacing the link cable. I'd buy that.

Nobody said anything about continuing the story of Lan. I just want customizable netnavis

...

I wouldn't mind a Battle Network comeback as long as they leave Lan out of it. At most make him a side character that shows up later on for plot reasons or whatever and Mega Man a cool super-strong secret boss of sorts.

they could start from the middle of almost any game but show a cutscene basically of lan getting hit by a car and dying, and then continue the story where someone else has to step in, that would be neat. you could like interact with everyone grieving over it, take his place, start winning and eventually become mayls bounceback bf and eventually replace lan as the one who marries her. put in some weird butterfly effect things where some people sorta remember things being different, so on so fourth

or have lan die of hbd but no one be there too turn him into a net navi so lans dead brother outlives him. heh, that would be kinda neat, you could make megaman the bad guy, going crazy from those events

BN ended too well for more of them.

And the last thing we need is a reboot.

just make a remake for switch

or a mobile game spinoff

>or a mobile game spinoff
NO

On the one hand, Battle Network had a nice ending and it would be weird to bring it back.

On the other hand, I'd welcome any excuse to have more of my waifu and the unique gameplay. Nobody has managed to make a competent clone of it to this day.

I always wish they would have done a bundled re-release back in the DS. If they do, do something I hope it's a remake or something and not a new entry to the story because the series ended perfectly IMO.

With all these remakes these days maybe that's the more likely thing to happen? BN is a hard one to go back to even after 2.

They did make a remake of Battle Network on the DS, and included some Star Force crossover stuff, but I don't believe we ever got it released out here.

Please tell me this isn't what I think it is

Spoilers, Mega Man 11 won't sell a bajillion copies and Capcom will say there's no interest in continuing the series.

>mykotakutendo everything

It wasn't. And it wasn't really a crossover, at some point theres a sidequest where you meet Geo. You can finish the game without even bothering with it. Everything else is identical.

Is this from touhou battle network? Is someone translating it?

Megaman Zero 4?

It has an official english translation now.

The demo still only goes up to Pyro Man.

Though you can get Murasa's chip with shenanigans.

I always forget the part about him actually being a digitized real person. Shits uncomfortable to think about

a helmet?

Geo is not for lewd.
His mom totally is though.

its great when you try to think of what youd call the porn
>digi-necro-incest

fight me

...

Don't play games with me, Capcom. I'm buying your Merch like crazy, so you better give me what I want.

1v1 me fgt

>implying Mega Man 11 won't sell a bajillion copies
This fanbase would do anything to stop another 8 year gap.

most mega man games are bretty short, so even if there's a lot that only adds up to so many hours of gameplay

If they dont hurry the fuck up ima make my own BN spinoff in Unity

no they wouldnt, they couldnt even show enough interest in mml3, what do you actually expect

Or do literally anything else instead of wasting the game on a terrible twist that only sounds good to That Kid telling his friends it's a totally legit secret unlockable in one of the games.

They really nailed the cute young mom design with her.

do it. ive got a name for the characters, you should call them "Cease" and "Desist"

>Took over a year to get 100,000 signatures
>At the end they spiked like 40,000 abruptly. Almost as if they were all faked.

Really makes you think.

...

>Capcom
>C&Ds
lol

>xover shit happens
You'll buy ten million copies and you'll fucking love it.

Good to know they're aware of our interest. I wonder what they will do with this knowledge.

and as much as i like battlenetwork, what can you do with it? it had 6+ games. Maybe online play because the game takes place in the internet.

>Article posted on my birthday

It's a sign

Yeah. Just wish I had more art of her.

>"Capcom is aware of interest"
>"Sega is listening"
When will you learn.

They paid for ads near the end

Starforce being not very popular doesn't help either, I think.
Which is a shame, as SF3 was pretty damn good.

The only time I think they've given out a Mega Man related C&D was to the idiots that made Rockmen R.

True. They only send C&D letters if the creator tries to profit out of the fangame.

All 3 Starforce games were pretty good. I feel like it was reverse brand dependence.

They failed because the people that knew they were like Battle Network expected Battle Network and got something else and the people that didn't never bothered because it was named like a fresh IP.

Damn son...

more like no one liked it because its gameplay was an obvious downgrade from MMBN. The sequels helped a little in this regard but at the end of the day it was just adding shit on top of what was already a broken system rather than just fixing it.

Imagine having a hot mom, user. Just imagine if someone like Morrigan was your momma.

That's what I'm saying. The people expecting Battle Network got Not Battle Network.

The functionality of the game play was very different to Battle Network due to the obvious changes in the field. I actually thought Mu and Crimson Dragon were much harder than any of the Battle Network final bosses, except for maybe Nebula Gray.

1 and 2 weren't bad, I think, but they had issues.
2 allowed you to break the game wide open with the Tribe King and a bunch of horrifically powerful chips and I remember being sorta annoyed by how overall mopey Geo was in 1. Sure, he had a reason, but it took way too long for him to come into his own, IMO.
3 was where everything came together and everything shone.

And then it was over.

At least we got an actual ending, even if we never got that true Battle Network tie in.

not if you swap PETs with smartphones or something.
and obviously remove the MM references
All a C&D would to is bring attention to the game and you can just "leak" the source code anyways

That was actually one of the things I very much liked, how the world was connected to the BN world I remembered, but different enough to see how that world came about from where we left it after BN6.

>That garbage dump with the PET in it

its not a twist, its an alternate world. you could even end it with "annnnd it was allllll a dreaaaam". the point is you could keep that world and all that since its a silly videogame
>but those are dumb cliches
oh come on, the series is full of those. whats ANOTHER one gonna do?

Personally I think I enjoyed the battle network world more but I guess turning into a radio wave would at least make life kind of fun considering how easy it is to travel across the world.

Pass. Ultimately, it meas you have to raise their little shitbag kid.

I know cliches are cliche for a reason, but I really, really hate the "annnnd it was allllll a dreaaaam" with a passion.

Oh don't get me wrong, I very much prefer BN over SF, but I liked how SF was linked to BN.

Hating it was all a dream ending is a cliche in and of itself

no, you just switch each night which one your fucking and its win win

It amazes me to no end how fucking obnoxious and whiney Megaman fans are.

You've got more games than most "STAR" franchises bar maybe Mario and sonic.

11 classic games
8 X -series games
4 Zero games
6 Battle network games
3 Star force games
2 ZX games
3 Legends games
Tons of indie "megaman likes"
And like 25 spinoffs

And now you're getting literal remake collections, and you're still not satisfied? Jesus fucking christ.

>Every thread until you like it

>We never found out what happened to Megaman after Lan and Lan's son died and 200 years passed between BN and Starforce

then add in a stinger. he wakes up in the hospital, his friends and family all around him, "oh my god we thought you were dead, you were in a coma from a horrible accident"
"oh. man i had the weirdest dre-" ( notices replacement you among the group of friends and family )
cue DUN DUN DUN music

his son thought net navis and fighting was stupid, he got into online videogames, died alone and the family lineage was lost, pretty much that was it

That's why we want MORE.

Also Megaman technically had 7 games if we aren't counting Battle Chip Challenge as the Gamecube game had a unique story.

That doesn't explain where Hub went. No way did he just disappear between BN and SF. He was too resilient. He literally died in BN3 and came back to life.

First time posting. If its been posted before its because other people obviously know a problem when they see it.

You don't just GET more because you want it. Most of your games are bloody rehashes anyways. Classic megaman puts Mario bros to fucking shame when 1-6 are the exact same game just with a different level and boss. At least 7 they started being unique, and then X dropped the ball after X3. Mega mans problem is its the same fucking thing every single installment unless its a spinoff. Its worse than fucking pokemo when it comes to stagnant game play.

Shacked up with Roll somewhere in the Net, having kinky net-navi sex for all eternity.

I don't want shitty wannabe Megaman game. Is that so hard?

He probably volunteered to be permanently deleted when Lan died of old age.

when lan blew his brains out in later life depressed on the way his kid turned out he dropped off the PET in the garbage, so it got crushed somewhere at some dump

>First time posting. If its been posted before its because other people obviously know a problem when they see it.
ay-fucking-men. when will this flat earth denialists learn

>Those "Wanabee megaman" games are actually doing something new for the genre, and evolving it. Azure striker is the best "mega man" game on the market because of this. But all because its not a kid in a blue leotard with a canon on his arm you won't play it? Talk about petty reasoning.

>hub
wait a fucking second, is THIS why i never can find any fucking smut, because im searching megaman.exe not fucking HUB? god damn it

Gunvolt is shit user.

Give me actual reasoning instead of "its shit" and i might be willing to listen to you. Like I said your reasoning is "Its not mega man". Which doesn't devalue another product just because it isn't the one you like.

Go on. I'm waiting.

best roll comin thru

>Poor Inticreats level design
>Shit tagging mechanics
>Boring challenges
>Only Copen is actually fun to play

Here's my pitch:
Battle Network Online
>Set after the events of Battle Network 3
>You play as a random person with a basic Navi program
>Upgrade Navi and Chip folder over time by earning money, killing viruses, winning mini tournies against AI
>unlock different styles by doing different things also
>Eventually go online to compete in tourneys, events, and additional co-op story episodes with superbosses.
>Story ends as you help Dr. Hikari find a way to bring Megaman back to life.

most people aren't "megaman fans" they're fans of one or two of the series that happen to feature megaman in the title. i like x, legends, and battle network myself. i don't give a shit about the rest, i can take or leave them.

That MN9. Not azure striker. Pay attention user.

>Poor level design
It's literally X. Unless you're suddenly saying X is a bad game. How ironic.
>Tagging mechanics
Are great and allow for great combo attacks and oppertunities. Try learning how to play the game instead of whining you suck. Which is obvious you only press and spam A like a mega man game and expect to win.
>Boring challenges
Subjective opinion that holds no worth. Either post facts or clam it.
>Only copen is fun
Wow, you're that bored playing by yourself? Jesus.

What about a browser based BN battle simulator like Pokemon Showdown?

>Post reasons why
>LOL no they don't count
Yeah I'm done with you. Play your shitty devils advocate elsewhere

It wouldn't have fucking killed them to at least localize this

capcom doesn't own the game design of battle network. so user can easily make a BN style game as long as he doesn't infringe on using megaman characters

Latency might be a very significant issue.

People play BN6 through netplay just fine.

>It has an official english translation now.

Really?
Huh, didn't know that.

So Battle Network 4.5 minus Megaman?

The only Megaman game i have ever played in my life was Battle Network Double Team. I fucking loved everything about it.

Are the other BN games just as good? Which one should i pick up? I especially liked the parts where i had to "clean" those tiles in a certain amout of turns.

>Are the other BN games just as good?
Yes, if you ask me.

>Which one should i pick up?
1 is dated as fuck and features some horrible levels.
2 is overall pretty great.
3 is amazing, arguably the best.
Skip 4.
6 is the other BN that vies for the top spot.

>I especially liked the parts where i had to "clean" those tiles in a certain amout of turns.
Got bad news for you, that's BN5 only.

Double Team is just Battle Network 5, so probably user. 5 is probably the 3rd best. Though that's just my opinion.
