you are right for most things, but racing games are definitely fucking worse with keyboard and mouse compared to a controller (due to gas/brake sensitivity on the triggers), or optimally a wheel and pedals

VR headset is only for immersion though, while wheel and pedals are the most precise and best control method for a racing game. we're getting off track though, the point is that KB+M is only good for 99% of things, not everything. Action games like Devil May Cry also suck balls with KB+M, as well as basically every fighting game.
