Well that's why I made this thread.

While this is the only game that made me consider getting a VR-thing whatever it's called as far as I know there's nothing but memegames for the VR so I guess I'll just play it the classic way.

Kind of yeah. Worth a play.

HD version of ZoE1 is butchered on every platform. On PS3, however, they fixed ZoE2. But as it stands, emulating 1 is the best way to play it.

Honestly though, I'd just wait for the "definitive" ZoE2 to come out next year, it's just ZoE2 but at 60fps and a proper resolution with a gimmicky VR mode added.

So emulate ZoE1, and either wait for the PC release of 2, or play 2 on PS3 if i'm impatient

Gameplay, art direction, and music are fantastic. Don't come in expecting Kojima to pull out MGS tiers of storytelling, though. While the story isn't anything special, the progression narrative in ZOE2 is pretty solid, though.

Not only can he not read but he's wrong. 2nd Runner is worse than the original.

Kojima has nothing to do with ZoE beyond helping produce it (i.e. literally nothing but having his name stamped on the covers)

Whoops, I goofed. Still, people constantly write the ZoE series off for its story content because of the team attached to it and that kind of sucks. Most people I've talked to about the game will go off on a tangent about this series being terrible because the stories and completely disregard the stellar gameplay and everything else
