Now that Underrail has a fucking >>>>>map and DOMINATING mode, are you ready to give it another try?
Underrail
Not until the expation comes out.
WHERE IS IT?
who coretech here
>map mode
What the fuck? I don't believe you.
为什么没有中文??没有中文不买
>mfw my orientation sense is so good that i never needed a map
This. People that got lost were retarded.
>DOMINATING mode just gives the enemies 50% more health
To be fair that does counter the common combos and give the enemies at least one more turn to actually hit you.
Only ever got lost once, in the upper underrail of all places.
quest markers when
I'll play it once they fix Depot A
>fix
lol
...
What do you think is the easiest and most braindead way to plow through the game fellas
I liked being a Will Wizard at first with my powerful punches but idk anymore
Heavy armor assault rifle with some throwing.
you sound like a casual, perhaps you should try something more children friendly
there is 3 can't really fuck up unless you are absolute trash builds
Full Psi wizzard
Sniper/traps sneeky breeky
Heavy armor/ar immortal tank
Which one gets hurt by Lurkers the least? Those bastards really yobbed my yim yam.
I thought about that at first too, guess I was just looking for validation. It seems really good. Think I should take the psi pill or is there no need to? Would psi compliment me at all?
>Full Psi wizzard
>Sniper/traps sneeky breeky
Neither of those are "braindead" the latter especially.
sneakan/trappan gameplay is garbage in all other rpgs, I highly recommend it in underrail
Nah, you'll want a lot of HP since you're forced to tank most attacks. Might not be able to do everything, but the general idea of "Burst/throw grenade" let's you cruise through most encounters.
found the braindead user
I am *not* braindead I have a very high IQ
full heavy armour
Dam couldnt find my fedora pic. Must had delete it at some point.
Good because it wouldn't have been an appropriate response.
SMG/Sniper was my build for my first playthrough, you can really mow down enemies once you get the commando and spec-op feats. Best of all, the 'K&H MP6' is found in depot A and it's the best SMG you'll ever need for most of the game.
I started playing this earlier this year, and loved it, but I had just made it to Rail Crossing before having to stop playing. I've been planning to start again and finish it; would it be better to stick with my version or start again with the new changes?
Random events sound cool, but I'm not sure. I'm definitely not going to use the map.
didn't say braindead, its more of a if you know even a little of this kind of games and you are not a total fuckup you are porbably going to do well with those
they might not be braindead but they are pretty difficult to fuck up (the build itself not the gameplay) so unless you are retarded you should be able to win the game without much hazzle
i mean, full psi is incredible easy to play, it has the best early game, and latter you get so much cc and utility that you cannot fuck up, the only thing that will ever even pose a treat to you will be robots and you still have ways to deal with them
sniper/traps is really simple and straightforward to build and to get gear for, the playstyle might not be braindead but its pretty easy compared to lets say, a melee build or a throwing build or even a pistol build since you always get the first shot advantage that will always be a straight kill
>they might not be braindead
The dude was specifically asking for braindead stuff.
People never change. I fondly remember the times where shitlords got stuck in the Daggerfall tutorial dungeon.
I wish I could use some laser rifles. What's even the deal with laser pistols? Their damage seems awful and metal armors screw them over on top of it.
The low damage directly correlates to the low AP use per shot.
I would go for another build if it wasn't a fucking 80 hour game.
There is no braindead stuff in this game, if you are braindead you probably won't be able to do the first mission no matter what build you use, i'm assuming that with braindead he meant easiest, otherwise there was no point to his question since the answer would have been, go look for another game this is not for you
AR builds are definitely braindead to play. All you do is spam Burst barring the occasional grenade throw or drug use.
Have they fixed the endgame yet? It was a massive dumpster fire when I played it.
Is this game anything like Undertale? Asking because the name is similar
I'm kind of autistic when it comes to exploring in games. Need to go through every single pathway I see, so Underrail was really hard when it comes to keeping track of where I went
>go into a cave
>4 paths
>choose one
>next cave has 5 paths
>choose one
>next cave has 4 paths and 1 that is blocked by rubble
>choose one
>next cave etc
This was my problem. I couldn't lawnmow areas like I usually do, but once you just stop trying to do that it gets much better
It is exactly the same, but isometric.
they're nothing alike besides being isometric
you can go crazy if you're hellbent on exploration in this game, I didn't count it but it feels like it would amount to visiting every square on the world map in one of the Fallouts, if not more
That place has a purpose though. If you can't beat it, your build is shit and you probably won't be able to beat the game.
I'm amazed that you can easily go from area to area without the use of the train.
get gud bitch
Are trains part of the gameplay, or just things that show up in cutscenes as you fast travel between levels?
Fast travel stations essentially.
I always get lost walking from SGS to the Foundry.
The latter.
the world was so ill-connected that they had to switch areas around for the newly made map to even made sense, I often found myself in unexpected locations as I followed the tracks
but yeah, you guys got it figured out no problem
How was it hard? People said what direction the city was in, you had a compass, easy. Once you get there it's really easy to remember getting there and back again.
Problem with that was the isometric view.
getting from city to city on a colored track was no problem and simple directions for quests weren't either, but try going for a bigger trip and making sense of the bigger topography and you'll find some escher-tier madness
The only thing that needs fixing is your shit build. Depot A is where bad builds go to die
>but try going for a bigger trip and making sense of the bigger topography and you'll find some escher-tier madness
Apparently my mind just works differently but I didn't have that trouble.
I think the only time I got lost was trying to find that free drones hideout
>walk out of SGS for the hopper and psi-beatle mission
>mfw I realize the map got changed
Currently doing a firearm-trap build
My Chinese is admittedly rusty but that grammar is terrible.
go south and west from foundry, go back north east, see the surprise there? I found myself surprised like that all the time, that's what I mean.
underrail.com
forgot the map, point is, you can go 5 squares west, and only have to come back 2 to get to the same point
Isn't that compensated by the fact that the areas themselves are different sizes?
wait the map is different? oh shit
thats enough incentive for me to have another playthrough. they've buffed energy pistols so i'll run that.
So whats a good psi build? Everyone says Psi was good but when I tried it, I dunno, maybe I fucked up, but my shit would get pushed in pretty easily.
Are the Deep Caverns still an insufferable slog?
You can go into the game with a great build and it won't do jack shit until you get over the general learning curve.
They are extremely painful
>hear stealth sound
>save
>throw flashbang
>reload if I didn't catch all of them
I don't care if it's cheating fuck those things
I'm the same way. I had to go online and look for a map.
>tfw I found the map in "that" area but you couldn't zoom in on it
Psi Monk, All Psionic Skills + Unarmed
Once you get the first few psi skills it's smooth cruising
Got a build guide handy or something? My current guy is just plain psi and nothing else more or less. Probably why it's fucked. Unless Unarmed shit comes later.
Pure psi is also really good. Post your build and we'll see what the problem is.
What do you think of high-technicalities? I was tempted to do use it but then I read you might as well just go perception for more damage. Was wondering how 10 per 10+ int would go.
>Walk around corner
>Shocked!
>Stunned!
>Crippling Strike!
Fuck Lurkers
Can you kill those robots in the tutorial or just stun and run past them?
is this like metro if it was a 2d rpg game more focused on builds
Is there a way to post it easily, or do I have to type it all out by hand?
anyone got a link for the latest version
>what are screenshots?
haha nice meme
...
>want to replay for like a year now but hold on because of Expeditions
>Styg adds cool content like new monsters and difficulty
Play now and play again when the expansion comes out.
I'm willing to play it again if Styg reworks Deep Caves a bit
