Why were shills spamming Sup Forums saying that this would be 60fps on Xbone X? Was there anyone who seriously thought this wouldn't be a disaster on a console? It barely runs on midrange PC's and yet people thought "console optimization" could fix it.

This is factually inaccurate, homie. The X version does run and look better, but either way it still runs like shit. MS would need to do some serious recoding to get the game to run right on the extra hardware.

It's pretty clear that the Jaguar is holding the Pro and Xbone X back pretty hard.

I've got Xbox and PS4 this gen and I genuinely enjoy multiplayer games more on Xbox. The cancerous parts of the 360 userbase moved over to PS4 since that's the console of this gen, plus it doesn't have PSN. I just use the PS4 for singleplayer games now.

Given that the game is still in "Game Preview", it'll likely get better. MS is still way better than Sony this generation when it comes to listening to feedback, so it's possible they might throw their weight behind making this game actually run on their console somehow. Prolly cost a lot of money and man hours though.

psn was down 2 days ago as well, it's a tragic service considering i pay £10 more a year than for xbl. downloads are piss slow as well. i can get 200mb/s down on my xbox but i max out at around 30 m/bs on the playstation when downloading. both wired.

Extremely unlikely, the Jaguar is weak and outdated and the PUBG devs can't into AMD hardware. AMD CPU's are extremely underutilized, the 8700K is more heavily taxed than the 1600X despite being the same cores and having a higher clockspeed. (A faster CPU should have LESS CPU utilization not more)

The only way they have it hit 60 and stay at 60 is if they make it look even worse, it gets huges dips even with a cap, no way they can have it maintain

It is entirely possible in this day and age to offload calculations to a GPU. If MS is partnered with the dev and it's a big enough problem, there are potential methods to improving performance. It would be a fucking costly pain in the ass for both parties though.

only certain tasks are able to be offloaded to the GPU well and that doesn't do the original Xbox One any good. At best we're looking at a 30fps game on Xbox One and One X when all of the optimizations are complete. Seeing as it drops to as low as 12fps right now on the X, 30fps across the board or a near locked 30fps would be a huge improvement.

I bought had the OG xbone and I sold it for the S for150$ and bought the S for 200$ with the intention of trading it for the Scorpio later on.
