Should they revive the Fable series?

Should they revive the Fable series?

>Fable 1
Comfy game. A lot of fun and an interesting lore; I hate "high fantasy" settings, but I did love Fable.
>Fable 2
Comfy game. A lot of fun which expanded on said interesting lore. Could have been a lot better, but was good considering the time.
>Fable 3
Wewwwww. What the fuck happened Peter?
>Fable Kinect
Into the trash.

I thought Fable 2 was trash. It really stripped shit down from the first

Only if they can keep Molyneux away from it.

They should let Rare have a crack at it. They could make a really comfy entry-level rpg with it.

ahh see this series attracts the "comfy" dipshits

I went into Fable 1 blind and I loved it, I never knew what that bald British guy promised. Fable 2 was one of the most disappointing games I ever played. I don't know exactly what it was, but probably because everything felt to streamlined to the point that it was boring. The combat was simplified, I didn't like how the magic worked, and I hated the gun replacing the bow. The gameplay kind of felt like 3D Zelda so that's probably what I liked about it.

Yes with a Reboot and keep it fantasy this time.

Yes and turn it into Dark Souls

The whole thing needs to be made from the ground up again, no remaster or revive but a complete rework of everything. Keep the story relevant between the games while maintaining choice, keep the time skip of games but set it to a certain time (say 50 or 100 years) with inter-connectivity between the games so if Oakvale survived your onslaught in 1 it's a flourishing town in 2, and expand the magic and weapon systems instead of progressively shrinking them with each new entry.

I feel like the series is overrated as fuck

>comfy is bad
Enjoy being uncomfortable faggot.

It's kind of a hot opinion, but the Fable series is probably one of my favorite game franchises of all time. There's something absolutely endearing about its wit and world and characters that it continues to ring in my mind. I especially love its take on fantasy that, while generic in concept, still manages to be incredibly expressive.

It also established a lot of mechanics that, while without much depth, make or break a lot of open-world games for me now. I love being able to run real estate. I love being to build relationships with the townspeople. I love being able to specialize amongst three class trees (however paltry the selection may be). I love how the morality system let's you do some crazy shit like kill your wife and child and how it's so black and white. I loved having my own kingdom to rule and changing the environment and economy as one.

I just like Fable, and I've ever only considered getting an Xbox One just so I can go back and replay the games.

they should release 2 for something that isnt the xbox 360 first

They are all free in the Xbox store right now.

Just let it die, it suffered enough already.

No. Just port Fable 2 to PC and be done with it.

I liked fable 2 better for the most part because you didn't have all those fucking awful escort missions to deal with. The ending sucked though and I can't say I was too fond of the decision to make jobs the main source of income. Yeah I mean it's realistic to think that adventuring wouldn't be as profitable as working an actual job but where's the fun in that? The DLC was pretty shitty too. They were both too short and one was basically just a teaser for Fable 3.
It felt like an improvement for the most part though and kind of gave me high hopes for Fable 3 thinking maybe they would improve on the things Fable 2 was lacking but nope, they blew it.

Fable 4 needs to happen. Peter is such a fucking hack that he even ran off to make garbage indie games that nobody will ever play in their right mind.

Where?

Never played these games before gonna probably go through all 3 just to see how they all are should I buy a original Xbox version and play it on 360? Does to run ok or is pc better, would like a reason to turn in my Xbox

>Marry a zombie
>Get aids
I honestly didnt expect that but it was a good twist.

I didn't like how they went from high fantasy straight to INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION LMAO. The series would have been better if the progression was more gradual and they kept a lot of the cool shit from the first game, like the Hero's Guild, Old Kingdom artifacts, etc.

Fable 4 needs to be done by fans who knew what made the first game great, and have Peter stay the fuck away from it as far as possible. How the fuck do you make a working formula that people love and just throw it all away. It's a trend in videogames. All my favorite games have underwhelming sequels.

Yes i cant believe their efforts are going towards another worthless moba. Could have been something to look forward to

Why exactly do retards not understand the word comfy?
It has an objective definition and biological response.
It feels somewhat close to how nostalgia does, and it can be caused by a variety of things, the easiest and most ubiquitous cause is taking shelter from a storm, followed shortly by bundling up in warm clothes in the cold and drinking hot cocoa.

What the fuck kind of life would you have to have lived that you've never experienced a heavy storm or the cold?

Don't forget:
>40 hours to get enough currency for ONE champion with their F2P model

>There is a difference between Fable 2 and 3
What is this meme called?

Lionhead didn't know wtf to do with the series
>fable 4 was gonna be some grim dark industrial age shit with a serious storyline compared to the last 3 games
shit like this remind me why ms canned their asses

I seem to be the only person who liked Fable III, probably because I played at the time another, way way way much harder game, on the side and didn't mind the non existent difficulty.

I don't care anymore because Microsoft is shit. They have dropped the ball on all that great momentum they have ever gotten. Fable, Gears and Halo have all went to shit. So what is there for me to care about anymore? I know they aren't going to make good Fable games so I just do not care.

Yeah they should but Microsoft is so out of touch with the players that it won't happen and the whole series is going to be forgotten just like every other major Microsoft IP
