Should I play Xenoblade 1 and X before 2?

should I play Xenoblade 1 and X before 2?

If you did that all Xenoblade 2 will do is make you want to play those games instead.

>playing xc2
>get to THAT scene
>want to replay xc again
I hope xc gets a HD remake in the far future

Just play XC2. Skip X. Play XC1 if you enjoyed 2.

You can play them in any order.

Don't listen to either of these faggots, they're all worth playing.

yes

You don't need to play them to understand anything in 2, but play them anyway just cause they're good games.

Xenoblade X is great until you actually get your Mech.

The Mech ruins combat, exploration and sense of scale. So yeah they are all worth playing, but X is by far the worst imo.

If you play XC1 you'll understand the last chapters of XC2 a bit more, but it's not required.

Did people force them to use the mech in combat even through it suck? Cause as soon as I realize it did I stopped using it for combat most of the game.

isn't it necessary in terms of like, actually doing enough damage and also not dying horribly?

Not at all. Ground combat becomes infinitely more efficient than mechs against high-level enemies. Skells are only a mid-game crutch combat-wise.

You can actually play 1 and 2 in either order and the connections will still be interesting. Recommend 1 to 2 though simply because of how much better 2's combat is.

If you put the right armor on it can a big difference in how much damage you take.

Is the combat in these games basically just like Dragon Age without pausing?

X if effectively a different game from 1 & 2. That being said, it doesn't matter what order you play them in. Just pick whatever tickles your fancy.

Xenoblade 1, yes.
X is disgusting shit so no.

spoil me is there anything in xenoblade 2 that connect with 1 in storywise?

Near the end of the game, the only music you'll ever hear is Wir Fliegen while Cross spams Zero Zero and Attack stance. Overdrive is absolutely broken and you can maintain it infinitely.

It take place simultaneously on the world Zanza left behind
The Monado is the missing Aegis and Alvis is it's blade

Well, for starters, Klaus is the Architect, more precisely the other half of Zanza that stayed on the world he destroyed while making the XC1 universe, Alvis is an Aegis named Ontos along with Malos and Pyra and the game is happening in parallel to XC1, the final boss taking place at the exact same moment as Shulk assblasting Zanza, you even hear him say "Today, we fell a god and seize our destiny", shit's bonkers

>Xenoblade
>Incredible story that actually subverts anime tropes (i.e. revenge is seen as a completely understandable response, Shulk being a dense retard to Melia's feelings actually has significant weight on the character development, etc)
>Even though the fact the game ends with killing god with the power of friendship it's so ridiculously over the top and actually makes sense so you don't fucking care

>Xenoblade X
>Absolutely fucking solid gameplay
>Blows the fucking plot twist like four chapters in and then never really does anything with it
>Staples Lin and Elma to you for like 90% of the missions but story missions are blocked off without clearing certain H2H levels or finishing certain side quests
>Story is painfully, agonizingly drip fed to you in the most absolutely obnoxious way

>Xenoblade 2
>Story is good but not handled very well
>Characters are A+
>Horrendous dub, not even a subfag but very, very few voices are actually good and Rex's English VA almost seemed embarrassed or ashamed of having to yell
>Literally gets good 20 hours in because they teach you the combat piece by agonizing piece
>Shitters cry about MUH ANIME despite the fact that the Xeno- series has always been dripping and oozing with panties, titties, and sexy stuff (please note crybabies only whine about the giant tits, you see almost zero complaints about Mythra, the loli blades, or the hot springs scene because that's not what's being passed around in their echo chambers)

I'd probably say XB1 > XB2=X

I started X yesterday
Anything I should know?
Do that brigade thing really matter?
Im seriously thinking on playing without sound my god that japanese rapper saying yeah yeah i cant see you

>tfw want to play Xenoblade 1
>$50
Guess I'll pass.

>paying for wii games

Is the 3ds version good?

Just emulate it bruh

>tfw you absolutely love Shulk being in Smash but he's been reduced to "AHM REALLY FEELAN ET" Captain Falcon-tier meme garbage

I know we all like to pretend we're super serious and have sticks up our asses and can't laugh at things that are fun, but I saw a picture of the bionis with "flat earthers I'm about to blow your fucking minds" and it made me laugh my ass off because you could tell that person actually played the game.

Your brigade doesn't matter as much these days because the online base has largely evaporated. Go to the squad menu podium in your base and see what the top performing squad was. Just stay on that one to reap all the rewards (the Skell Insurance tickets are invaluable late game)

Besides that, just try and enjoy getting lost on your own adventures. The story sucks so it's not too hard to just get hopelessly lost exploring.

It all goes to shit once you get your mech, and doubly so once it can fly.

Xenoblade 1, yes.
Xenoblade X, play after 2 since it's a little bit more like 1 in combat but more about that open world stuff in exploration like 2

>>Literally gets good 20 hours in because they teach you the combat piece by agonizing piece
I just got the catslut and honestly I can see why. I still haven't been able to figure out how the fuck Level 3 Blade Combos are supposed to work.

What don't you get about the Level 3 Blade Combos?

This guy is correct.
So is this guy.

I recommend you at least play 1. It's one of my favourite games of all time.

T.shounenboy

Post it

Xenoblade 1 emulates pretty well.
What about X and 2?

Those are good and correct opinions.

Pretty soon you're gonna get the Aussie cunt Broham who shows Rex how to trip someone with his anchor, and it unlocks both Anchor Shot inflicting topple as well as the game finally lets you start linking attacks. Once you get Mythra, the game finally takes the leash off and lets you start fucking whipping asses and swapping blades on the fly. The combat starts off so fucking molasses slow for no good god damn reason and then goes up and beyond XB1 and X's combat the further you get. It's just baffling they leave the training wheels on that long.

>I can't enjoy watching some silly shit once in a while, everything must be serious

That being said I have no idea how you came to that conclusion

I wish I had it, I never saved it. I got into Xenoblade back when the EU version dropped and everyone here was passing the torrent links around, and the fucking silly meme pictures and screenshots back then were goddamn A+++++. Shit like the Mario gif where Shulk and Fiora float off in the balloon while Melia gets left behind, REYN TEYM pictures, BUNCHA JOKAHS, etc.

Now everything is FEELAN ET and it's just sad.

>fighting the big frog with Nia
>it gives me the blade combo tutorial
>do as it says, press ZL after mine and once hers is charged up
>she fires off Steamed whatever the fuck
>meter ticking away in the top right corner
>finally get it charged again because the Arts take forever to charge
>press the button before the timer runs out
>he just does Heat again

>Switch emulation
nonexistent

X doesnt really emulate at all that well.
2 hasnt been emulated yet I think

I heard it mentioned in passing that I shouldn't use rare upgrade items on Rex. With as few spoilers as possible, why?

Okay, so the Elemental Specials have to get progressively stronger as you go further into the Blade Combo.
You have to start with a Level 1+, then a Level 2+, and finish with a Level 3+.

This might be helpful too

Da powah a'fwensheep

Rex gets the ability to use anyone's blades

Rex gets powerful blades during the story plus

You need to use the higher levels of special to continue the combo, the elemental tree that appears in the upper right shows what elements you can use to finish the combo
Start at level one special, then two, then three
Remember to cancel auto attacks (Use an art right as you hit with AA) If you do this on the third AA hit the art is more effective and builds more special. If you still have trouble building it in time to do Blade combos, effects like Break, topple, launch, and smash extend the time limit

I agree with everything, but it's more XB1 = XB2 > X for me, because while I was playing through XB2, it made me want to replay XB1, and then now that I'm replaying XB1, it makes me want to replay XB2. I'm not really in a rush to replay X anytime soon.

I want X ported to Switch but every time I try to go back to X I always get fed up because story missions are blocked behind "go collect 15 of this item with a 0.001% drop rate from an enemy with a 0.00001% spawn rate".

I remember very clearly having to fast travel to some pond for literally a good two or three hours because it was the closest spot to where some enemies popped up trying to get some fucking drop for the mech license quest.
