DeS is literally the worst Souls game. Everything after only improved on it. About the only thing it does best is level design. Anything else would be subjective.

DeS's idea of level design was to just over whelm you with a stupid amount of enemies at once.

Dark souls 2 had a boner for multiples of the same enemy. But DeS loved to just throw 50 different ones at you in the same area.
Specifically I still remember that trek to the shadowlurker cave in Adjudicators. That fucking narrow bridge where you could get trapped by the skellies and then fucked by the storm beasts.

They just feel the need to justify their expensive hardware purchases by playing the exact same old ass games everyone else already played but with more graffix and feeps bc they didn't go all out and can't run modern shit at 4k60fps, so they brag about their mid range shitbuilds.

Demon's is plenty enjoyable, even if it may lack some of the more intricate combat/movement qualities of later installments. It also has some of the most enjoyable boss fights.
