So even with it's bad business practices and lame story, is the multiplayer still at least fun?

No, everyone is a bullet sponge
No, it's as repetive and as dull as the last game. Playing as heroes isn't even all that fun, it feels like a chore
That's a shame.
no
Bullet sponges, AWFUL map design, horrible balance, etc. They made a shittier game than the first one. Let that sink in. The bar was so fucking low and they managed to not go over it even slightly.
I started playing this weekend. It really isn't. Netcode on PC also sucks so you'll go from full to zero health what seems like instantly and your 1hko shotgun weapon can fire at point blank but you don't hit shit.
It's a laggy mess. No.
Is the SP mode that bad?
I was kinda hoping the multiplayer would be good, but i guess i was wrong...:(
It's pretty much a shitty star wars simulator to let normies play out their fantasies of fighting as vader or luke or whatever. With the added insult that if you don't shell out cash for the mtx you're just fodder for the whales to have their fun.
NO
FUCKING NIGGER FETT PSSSSSHHHHHH NUTHIN PERSONELS YOU WITH HIS MISSLES EVERY FUCKING MATCH OF HEROES VS VILLAINS AND YOU CANT DO SHIT AND INSTEAD OF NERFING HIM THEY ARE JUST GOING TO ADD MAZ KANATA LATER ON AS A “COUNTER”
It's only good for being the only nextgen starfighter game and that's a handful of levels across SP and MP.
The game didn’t launch with mtx you dumbass
It's a disgusting hybrid between a casino slot machine, the old battle front and every generic 3rd person shooter ever made with EA & Dice autism
Space combat is alright
People either take forever to kill or instantly
The buy system is fucked and chances are high you’ll never use that hero you grinded for
No
This.
>Playing local multiplayer with my friends
>They decide to turn the power up cool down off
>I play boba fett every game and absolutely gape their asshole
It's okay.
It's a super casual FPS with almost no depth whatsoever but it's pretty good for just blasting randoms. I got it for free though, I don't think I'd have paid more than $15 for it personally.
It did dumbass. People who bought the deluxe edition got the game three days early and were able to purchase them for the first two days. Plus they said they're going to add them back in.
if you like star wars it's great, it's shallow and the biggest selling point is the way it looks and the settings and art design in general is top tier, but the gameplay is meh at best
It was fully intended to, and they only temporarily put a halt on it due to the unprecedented outcry. You shouldn't crow about them demeaning you slightly less than usual as a good thing. How people have the lack of self respect to invest time in something like this is beyond me, but I guess that's the star wars name for you.
>t-they’re gonna be put back in
Lulz
For FREE?
How
Gameplay is shallow as hell and the maps range from okay to complete shit
>Bullet Sponge
Unless something changed from my trial to now, troopers drop quick as shit. Vanguard can one shit people and the better blasters (Blurrg) for example can drop someone before they can even react unless they have battle command.
Git gud people don't take any more damage than they do in Battlefield 1.
I actually like it a fair amount. The progression system is aids, but the easy way to get past it is just focus on challenges and constantly buy hero loot boxes. They're the cheapest and provide a mixture of hero cards, trooper cards, and starfighter cards.
Now some might scratch their heads and question how that helps disregard the progression system and the answer is pretty easy and what I always thought would help during the Alpha and Beta. Crafting parts.
You get a fuck ton of them from crates and challenges. The basic challenges for troopers give you crates which contain basic or even better cards for your soldier. They may not be the ones you want, but since your soldier level is dependent on how many cards you have and their respective level this will allow you to level soldiers fairly fast. Leveling your soldier is important because it allows you to upgrade your cards with crafting parts (which can also be bought with crafting parts if you want to skip RNG for fairly cheap, but being the autist I am I waited until I unboxed enough in each class before upgrading them).
The trickier part is unlocking heroes, but since they boosted credit gains I'd imagine the fucking retarded grind I used to have to go through is suddenly a lot easier. Also the Arcade gets you thousands of credits easy with simple challenges so that's an option too.
The main reason I really bought this game though was Sheev. I really didn't like Battlefront 1, but once I figured out that they turned Sheev's famous RotS AAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH spin into an actual move I just constantly used him whenever I got the chance. Since Battlefront 2 actually rewards good players with heroes now instead of having to find a hero pickup, I can play Sheev much more often and he's really fun in the game.
I was about to reply to the shills that bought this shitfest but there's literally no point anyway, they probably own a console and have no fucking games to play.
My cousin is a sucker for ster wers and bought it for me for my birthday so we could play together.
My brother bought it for me for an early Christmas present. I didn't even want it.
Having put about 60 hours into it with him, I would agree that it's just okay. I think if they completely got rid of the progression system, it'd massively improve the game. The numbers on the cards might not seem big, but you quickly realize that most even one on one matchups will end with the survivor at 5% health, and suddenly getting +10% hp from a card, or +5% damage means all the difference.
You can really see it when one side has several players with all purple tier cards and they just roll your team.
Some of the unlocked weapons are ridiculous, too. The starting sniper rifle always takes two headshots to kill minimum, so you basically have to play as a shitty sniper for hours and hours before you actually become useful.
