Do you still play with your Wii-U user?
Do you still play with your Wii-U user?
No lol
On occasion if I feel like playing Smash or Mario Maker but since the Wii U is hooked up to the TV in another room it's a lot easier to just pick up the Switch which doesn't even have to be plugged into anything to operate and play some ARMS.
Every once i while.
haven't in years, didn't even bother hacking it
Occasionally. Recently picked up a bit of a second wind with BotW after getting bored with it and dropping it for a few months.
I honestly haven't touched it in two years. I would sell it but I wouldn't some poor kid from a poor family to get one for Christmas. What an absolutely fucking terrible console.
Poor Luigi picked the wrong year.
Not over december because my sisters back and I'm letting her try to beat DLC 2 while she's home and then I'll finish up on that. But I still have a few titles to beat. A bunch more if you count downloadable and multiplats.
Mario maker is the single reason i havent sold my wiiu yet holy shit i love it
I'm fucking schocked at how shitty the game selection was, a couple of days ago i realized that you could pirate it so i sat down and read a list of every single games released for it.
Then i realized i already any single game i could care about. And them master list is below 5 games what a shitty fucking console.
>Do you still play with your Wii-U user?
I spent more time with the WiiU than PS4 or Xbox One. Gamepad is so fucking comfy.
next sm4sh Sup Forumseekend when?
I sometimes confuse the wii u with the switch and think they are the same console or that one is the other is just that both are tablet with shitty ps2 graphics. Switch has shittier graphics than a fucking xbox 360 from 2005.
wtf is that thing, some kind of Switch prototype? I've never seen that before
Yes surprisingly, i replayed XCX just a few days ago.
only for smash bros
There were 2 big reason for this.
A.Really bad third party support. After 2013 the console got NOTHING(not counting Bayo 2 because Nintendo published it.)
B.Nintendo struggled to adapt to HD development, so games took longer to come out. It is also why developed a lot of unambitious, simpler titles(Captain Toad, Mario Tennis, Kirby Canvas Curse).
It's the only console I play, p comfy to be able to lay in bed and play Breath of the Wild and Advance Wars
Sometimes. I still have a couple games in my backlog for it. I also hacked it to play BotW early
traded the entire thing for cod ww2
Dusty images just tells me that you're a piece of shit who doesn't take care of their things or clean their house.
...
Yes. I bought VC games on it, mostly GBA, DS, and Wii games. Plus I use it as my replacement remote control.
...
AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA Nope
I'm playing through color splash right now. It's not nearly as good as TTYD or the original, but it's damned better than sticker star.
Is it worth it if I can get it for 50 bucks? Just want to play BotW, XBCX, and Wonderful 101.
For that price? Yes. Especially since you can hack it and play every Nintendo game on it other than Switch and 3DS
playing XC1 on it right now to prep for X to prep for 2 when I get a Switch next year
it's a lot of fun
If nothing else, it's a wifi internet tablet. I use mine for twitch, cause it doesn't load ads for some reason.
To think a few years ago out of desperate boredom I considered purchasing a Wii U. I'm glad I dodged that bullet. Honestly, I probably would have if the price dropped to below $200, but it always felt so overpriced.
yeah I played the Zelda dlc last week
I still got like 5 games in my wii u backlog too
Actually just recently hacked the vWii and am playing Pokemon Gale of Darkness on Nintendont.
But before that the last time I dug out the Wii U was to play Xenoblade Chronicles back in February.
No, I emulate it.
...
Hell no. I wanna sell it but I fear it wont be as easy to sell as my Wii was.
how easy is it to hack
If I buy one used will I be able to hack it
Never "hacked" a console other than copy pasting cfw for psp, is it as easy as that?
Very occasionally.
Once I beat Xenoblade Chronicles I’ll probably play X.
If I need a dose of Wonderful, some day, sure, yeah
>feel like replaying W101
>remember all the gimmick sections
Mine's not hooked up to a tv anymore, but i still watch porn on the gamepad sometimes.
Does the game have anything but gimmicky sections?
>mfw didn't fall for the fanboys trying to convince people it wasn't a failed console
Glad Bayo 2 is getting a port at least because I know I'm never going to buy one of those paperweights
Of course it's a failed console, but why should that mean it isn't worth getting one?
Mario Kart with coworkers a couple of times a week
Smash, occasionally MK8 since I don't have enough controllers for MK8D when I have friends over
Yeah, currently finishing up 3D World and XCX before I buy a Switch
>do a second run on hard
>two raydowns non-stop alternate between laser and bomb
>secret stage with three of those dragon fuckers at once
Brainlessly easy, if you do Haxchi. It does involve buying a $6 DS game though, but it's nearly idiot-proof
>It does involve buying a $6 DS game though
what like a cart or something off the store?
Virtual Console. It overwrites the software and basically tricks the system into thinking you're running a legit game in order to boot CFW
I'm happy you're enjoying your console!
ah. Is it still getting updated or should I just try to get one that's brand new so I don't have to worry about a used one with unhackable firmware?
AFAIK every firmware is hackable right now.
Great! Looks like I'm getting a wii u
I never got a WiiU, because the sales were pretty poor. I was super tempted, but not tempted so much I ever gave in. I figured if the sales continued to be bad enough Nintendo would have to replace it wholesale with something better. And lo and behold.
There's still a bunch of stuff on it I'm bummed I'll never get to play, though. I'd love to get some more ports or something. Like what Bayo 1 and 2 are getting on Switch or like Mario Kart 8 got. I never got Splatoon 2 when it came out because I never played Splatoon 1, but if they offered the whole (or even an abridged version of) single player mode for S1 as a cheap DLC pack for 2, I'd snap it up fast.
Actually today is the exact day I finally just decided to unplug the fucking thing and pack it away. You know those last few months you have with a console when you're not sure if you ever intend to use it again? Yeah. As soon as I decided I was done with Smash Bros, my Wii U died with it. Never gonna use it again.
I played BOTW on it so I didn't have to deal with early Switch hardware bugs. I let cucks like you beta test hardware.
Wii U is now in a box till I feel like playing something old.
got from a while back. turned it into a zelda box since i have everything from hd remakes to VC.
Apologize.
I’m gonna play affordable space adventures with my brother’s family over Christmas. It’s gonna be so fun.
Occasionally. Recently played Super Mario Maker
>hardware bugs
Haven't experienced any. You're just cucking yourself user.
I wish I could get into xeno games. I only got 10 hours into the Wii game and maybe 30 into xcx and it was so fucking boring. Even really bad jrpgs move faster
eh. me and my retarded friend still play smash on it. i want to go through FExSmt, and a few other games, but not that motivated to do so. I sold my physical copies except smash when i hacked it, which i do regret. I have a feeling i should just box it, along with my ps3. I would be happy if they ported the games i like on wii u to the switch
I beat almost every worthwhile game on it and never touched it again afterward. I should probably finish Dong Freeze and W101.
XCX gets pretty fast (ground combat) later on. You start off rather slow but the more abilities you get and the more you level up, the faster it gets. The really skilled players cycle through attacks like crazy. I've seen some shit online
Do yourself a favor and finish them. They're well worth the investment
Sure. I just got botw and dk country on the fucking wii u
I did play Lego City Undercover and Arkham City on it a few weeks ago. The controller, clunky and awkward as it is, does add an extra dimension to some games with its touch pad. Lego City especially really loses something without it.
Lego City did what I expected the Wii U Metroid game to do with the gamepad. Too bad it didn't happen
Different user, but my Wii U mod is old and I still use the browser to access HBC.
What's the loading process like with the DS game included?
Once you have everything set up you just click on the Haxchi icon like you would any other game and it boots into the CFW. It's much faster and more convenient than having to go through the internet browser every time and you can even set it up to always cold boot into the CFW
If i hack it (want to play SMG 1 and 2), will I be able play online with my own copy of MK8 and not get banned?
Yeah that sounds a lot better than the way it used to. You can cold boot straight to Mocha CFW or was there something better by now?
Hated having to coldboot > Browser > HBC > Load Mocha CFW > Then finally choose game.
Was annoying if I only wanted to play smash with all the DLC for a few minutes.
Yes.
Haxchi has its own CFW. You can cold boot straight into it.
I got a cheap one a few weeks ago and plating XCX and Tokyo Mirage
>tfw tried to beat the last boss/es in XCX at lvl 46 and lvl 30 skells
Was going ok until Resident Lao
I don't play with any video games
>Really bad third party support
thats their fault
I forgot I had it, which is good because I don't like to admit I paid money for the worst console since the dreamcast. actually, it's probably worse
What, if you don't touch something for a few months, THIS happens to it in your house? Where the fuck do you live, in a factory?
They probably dumped out a vacuum bag on it or something
Thumbnail looks like nazi architecture Stalinist gothic.
I never got around to Xenoblade X, so I'm playing it now. It's pretty good. I really liked the Wii U, so it's sad that it didn't do so well.
I'm also getting a Switch soon, so I might as well clean out that backlog.
It had some of the best game this gen. I don't gice a shit about AAA game and the Wii U was legit the best home cpnsole this gen.
Not really. Since I've got MK8 on the Switch I just play that version. The only game I return to other than that is Smash, but I'd honestly rather just plug in my GameCube instead since it's way easier to set up.
I don't have a Switch yet but you best believe that once the Switch arrives and Pikmin 3 gets re-released I'm looking for the first buyer.
>rodea wii
my guy
no
why not?
