>SFV AE is a free update for SFV owners
>base SFV is on a big sale
I've been thinking of buying into SFV AE. If I buy the base game with no season passes, will I have all the characters unlocked after the update? If I just buy SFV AE when it's released, will that unlock all the characters?
SFV AE is a free update for SFV owners
Other urls found in this thread:
SFV isn't very good, I'd recommend against it.
AE is just an update doent unlock anything
No matter what you do you're still going to need to drop the money for Season 3's characters
You're better off buying AE though upgrading doesn't give you the previous 2 seasons characters for free.
You need to buy AE to get free shit, don't listen to
he is a fucking moron.
>If I buy the base game with no season passes, will I have all the characters unlocked after the update
no
This.
Just wait the three weeks if the characters bother you that much.
The new V-Triggers and Arcade Ladders are free if you have the base game. The characters are not unless you actually buy "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition", and even then, physical copies of AE just come with vouchers to download Season Passes 1 & 2.
Buying the deluxe edition of SFV now is the same as buying AE later in terms of content, except the free costumes you get in AE. If you buy Season 3 though, you'll get those costumes anyway. If you can get the deluxe edition now for under 40 and don't care about costumes or will buy season 3, then it's the better deal.
That's exactly what he said though. If you have the game already it will be updated to AE without unlocking the characters.
Yes so you get free shit if you buy AE. Like I said.
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition = Street Fighter V + Character Season Pass 1 + Character Season Pass 2
Like, literally. It's been stated that the SFAE box consists of the base game plus two codes to redeem both season passes. It is equivalent to the bundle that is currently known as Street Fighter V 2017 Deluxe Edition. There's no reason to wait if you can get it cheap now.
If you want to buy the game I'd advice to get at least one of the season passes or else you'll find yourself with a lot of stuff you'll need to grind for.
There are also going to be new modes and stuff for all owners of SFV at the same time Arcade Edition is released.
Buying AE instead of the base game does unlock shit you stupid faggot which was OP's question.
What the fuck is up with all these mouthbreathers?
Also, buying the game now will allow you to farm some Fight Money sources that will no longer give it after the January update.
I'm a masochistic keyboard warrior. I remember you couldn't change keybinds when the game came out, just swap between sets. Has that changed? Surprisingly hard to look up.
Buy the deluxe edition right now for the most value.
You can change them now. You are still limited to the amount of buttons on a gamepad (i.e. you can only map two hotkeys) and you can't map keys such as Shift or Spacebar (not sure if people finally found a workaround for this by fiddling on an ini file).
not him but do you have some reading comprehension?
Thanks! I could live without Shift or Space, I used them for grabs and Focus Attacks in IV, respectively. I can find alternatives for those.
what character most resembles sakura so i can prep for her in the next month?
which character will most resemble falke so i can prep for her
If you buy the game now you"re going to end up having to buy all the dlc characters with fight money and they are about to nerf the shit out of fight money, so you'll probably still end up spending more money in the long run.
If you wait until AE is released you lose out on over a million free fight money because capcom is removing all the one time bonuses.
Getting AE at the start will allow you to just grind points for Season 3 characters? Will the points be enough for all 6? Also, is the 6 characters will be available at start?
>will I have all the characters unlocked after the update
you're quite optimistic, aren't you
Buying the Deluxe Edition now that it is on sale is cheaper than waiting for Arcade Edition and grants the same content, though. Plus it allows you to get all the fight money from the sources they are going to remove in January.
>Getting AE at the start will allow you to just grind points for Season 3 characters
You can, but fight money grinding will be quite nerfed after S3, and most of it you'll probably waste of extra battles.
>is the 6 characters will be available at start
Just Sakura. They release a new character every 2 months.
grinding for fight money is a pain. I don't know if I can endure this and get everything done until AE comes out
getting at least some of it is better than not getting any of it.
Is it better to buy this now or wait for AE? Does anyone know how much AE will cost?
It'll probably cost 40 bucks.
40$ so about the same. If you just get SFV + S1 characters you still have time to grind enough FM to get most of the S2 case before AE drops.
AE is 40 and all free fight money being removed. If you don't buy it now you should never buy it
Get the base game and season 1 & 2 passes now while it’s on sale for 10 bucks less then what AE will cost. Grind out FM between now and AE’s release and guarantee yourself at least the next 2 seasons for free. The smartest thing you can do.
Is it possible to grind all the fight money from scratch before the update hits (Jan 16th?), using a trainer for survival of course.
Depends if you get banned or not
yes, it's just very boring unless you can set up macros do everything
Even without the trainer and survival, yes. The individual stories are cake walks. The big story twice will tak 4 hours. You can do multiple character combo trials a night (two volumes worth), etc. it’ll be time consuming but it’s possible.
>banned
But it isn’t one round survival. And unless you’re brain dead, you can make cheating the survival look legit on their end.
For the love of god, use a pad.
Cammy is the closest thing we got to Sakura right now, sans the fireball.
Advantages of Deluxe: You its like 3€ cheaper than AE and you can grind out Fightmoney which will be really useful for future content
Advantages of AE: You get 9 premium costumes. You also get the costumes if you preorder the Season 3 pass on your regular SFV.
>you also get the costumes if you preorder the Season 3 pass on your regular SFV
The S3 battle costumes or the other ones?
Only way I could finish Karin’s shit to be honest.
>free update
>BUY THE CHARACTERS GOY
wew
So how much does the full game cost right now, assuming a person buys all the characters and stages?
You obviously get the battle costumes if you get the S3 pass but on top of that you get those:
How do people find enjoyment from fighting games again? (I mean the ones like street fighter 5 or Tekken, not based smash bros) They make your fingers hurt and are generally frustrating to play for any amount of time, I just don't see how anyone can have fun in these games outside of 'muh competitiveness'
Also those
40 for base game and all characters.
Stages are best bought with ingame cash.
is this game was like 30 dollars and the rest of the cast were 30 dollars
then maybe it would be fine
but this piece of shit is a 60 dollar game
why isn't the characters free?
you can make a good buck with costumes, WHY did you put character behind a paywall in a SIXTY DOLLAR GAME
I actually like this game but you motherfuckers will forever defend this kind of bullshit for no fucking reason
>40 for base game and all characters.
It's currently 120 for base game and all current characters.
>make your fingers hurt
You're either an idiot, or likely have some sort of arthritis. Either way, seek medical help.
Its like 36 in a steamsale right now.
I guess Sonyggies get to pay out the ass.
They will sell the basegame+both seasons of characters for 40 in january though in a bundle called Arcade Edition.
I guess we can give them some credit in their transparency. They’ll get your money somehow. Whether it’s in season pass form or limiting your FM.
You're not getting free characters in the AE edition.
Shut up retard
>muh competitiveness
thats it, you have to enjoy competition. If you dont enjoy competition then you wont enjoy fighting games.
There is a reason most fighting game players are black and asian. Two races that genuinely like to compete, meanwhile guilt ridden dying white betas tend to shy away from competition in every way. So you rarely see them in communities based on competition and if they do partake its usually in "team" competition not 1v1.
No, you're a retard. They have not said anywhere that the characters come for free in the AE edition.
Buy now because of these reasons Buying the base game plus Seaon one for 26€ is a legit choice, too. Assuming you do your homework and grind fight money during holidays you should be able to unlock the S2 characters relatively quickly and easily, then start working on the S3 ones and be ready to unlock them as they appear.
shut up retard
>Two races that genuinely like to compete, meanwhile guilt ridden dying white betas tend to shy away from competition in every way.
Hmm... yes.... Please show me all the black people in esports outside of fighting games. (oh wait, you can't!)
You're a dumbass. They are specifically saying that it will have everything from the current build, AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. Dumbass.
Also, it's fucking hilarious how Capcom took a seat back from their reason they did DLC
>we did it so we wont have to do editions shit like this anymore
Good job for going back on that. But I already knew why they were doing this to begin with. They're fucking jews
stop replying to bait
Is this a kappa invasion or something? The FUD levels in this post are off the charts
Only buying AE gives you everything released until a certain point unlocked like characters, costumes, stages, if you buy SFV vanilla youll still have to buy season passes and shit or unlock most stuff with fight money
They are saying that Deluxe Edition is 36 on Steam now.
Deluxe Edition has the same content as Arcade Edition. It's the same bundle rebranded.
Season 1 or Season 2 characters?
>buying AE gives you everything released until a certain point unlocked like characters, costumes, stages,
no, it only gives you the contents of the character passes for season 1+2, which does not include all stages/costumes. It's only the characters + 1 battle costume for each
I don't get it, is your brain rotting away? When you buy AE you basically get a package that includes the base game and all the character DLC. It's not like people who don't own AE won't be able to play with AE people and have the new features.
Deluxe Edition is the Same as Arcade Edition. This is, a bundle that includes the Base Game and both Character Season Passes 1 and 2.
The point many people are making and many people are missing is that Deluxe Edition is currently cheaper than Arcade Edition will be on release. On top of that, buying it now will also allow the buyer to get important amounts of fight money for beating game modes that will no longer grant fight money after january.
Come the fuck on, they already let you pay to get nostalgia akuma but he was still ugly so now they give you the same fucking thing but in less ugly and charge again? Am I seeing this right? That is some bullshit if I've ever seen it.
>hurrrrrrrrr
its the regular nostalgia akuma skin. those are all skins that were already buyable earlier and they always looked like this.
the complaints about this game are getting dumber and dumber.
That wasn't the OP's question. The OP literally asked if he should buy SFV before AE, thus only getting the AE free update and not all the DLC form buying AE.
>still caring about crapcom
I'm sitting back here laughing as people eat up the scam known as SF5.
>still not vega nostalgia costume
Fuck you.
youtube.com
I still care about the best developer there ever was.
So Black isle? THQ?
>rip
LMAO
>not caring about godcom
why are people so confused about this
AE is SFV + season 1 and 2 characters, no stages, no extra costumes, 39,99
season 3 comes out a day later and sots 29.99
or just get the base game if you're not interested in such hot characters like ed, abigail, zeku or kolin, worthless shit IMO, and grind for FM and just buy actual cool characters like akuma, sakura, cody and sagat
As a karin main I find her impossible to play on pad. Shes fight stick through and through, though I think only grapplers are pad appropriate.
What about how almost all regular sports are dominated by blacks.
If fight money dissappear in AE, whatever FM you got can still be redeemed for future seasons? Or they will remove FM usage for season 3 and onwards?
>Playing Zangief on a pad
>Reasonable
>actual cool characters like shotos, a character that plays like any other SFV character and a wannabe shoto furry
FM is still there, you will still get it from weekly missions and levelups, you just wont get it from the onetime signleplayer stuff anymore.
It all carries over.
It doesn't disappear. Only the fight money you receive for single player content will disappear but that isn't entirely true since you will still get experience and therefore fight money.
Also I think they will keep weekly missions.
I wish the costumes were in packs that got discounted separately. I have all the characters a few stages and about 400K FM saved up for next season's characters. So there's no reason for me to buy AE or the Deluxe edition.
Have you ever heard of a dude named snake eyes? Mildly famous.
>Sup Forums talking about fighting games
I wish my boy Vega would get a couple of costumes once in a while instead of Chun Li getting two every month.
>Because one person of high skill can do it it means it's a good idea
Tell me how long it takes you to do consistent 720s on a pad vs a stick
you can easily do walking 720s on pad you fucking shitter. its literally what pads are known for, being great for zangief.
This. Far as I'm concerned all the AE preorder costumes either suck dick or are just old costumes you've already used a shit ton in the older games.
You can rag on pads all you want but 360s and 720s are WAY easier on pad
>all free fight money being removed
What? I'm downloading now, what does this mean for me?
you have until january 16th to get fight money from story/trials/survival etc. After that these modes won't give any FM anymore
And then they expect people to buy stages and characters with real money only or what?
Well good thing I decided to get it now instead of waiting for AE, got some grinding to do I guess.
No, there will be replacements. Also, there are weekly missions.
There are weekly missions, levelling up and they are adding some new thing as well. But none of the single player stuff including the new arcade mode will give FM.
