Position shuffling is a meme.

I am going to marry the Countess and become noble!

Does plague doctor still serve a purpose? She feels outclassed by bleeds.

Fucking finally

PD Blights are still the best dots in the game.

>Multi high blight
>MULTI STUN
>SPAMMABLE MULTI STUN
she's fucking gr8 if you're not in the weald or warrens

>if you're not in the weald or warrens
She's good in literally all situations. Give her two +blight trinkets and she can blight anything.

Go to bed, Leper.

There's still no reason to take her there because odds are you don't have that many plague doctors on your roster, it just makes sense to use her in the other places because she'll be more effective there

Countess or Siren porn where

Honestly one of my favourite things to do with PD is bring her along with a leper and fuck shit up with the emboldening vapours. One-shoting things is fun.

You're not understanding, with the right trinkets she beats the competition even in her 'weak' dungeons.

If you want to fill your roster with doctors so you can take her on every dungeon, go ahead if the RNG permits you. I usually end up having just 2 of every class except the ones I hate the most, so I usually have to compromise with my choices when making a party. I definitely wouldn't take plague doctor to the dungeons which have blight resistant enemies unless I had no choice, but if it works for you, that's great.

She still stuns bleeds cures blight/bleed and buffs dmg. Pd is best girl.

Week 40 on Bloodmoon, managed to kill the Baron with my Vest/Jest/Flag/MaA party, which just breezes through the courtyard stress-free
Weeks 20~30 were rough, with many heroes stressed, low money, 3 heroes perished (along with their respective missions abandoned) and only one Auntie, but I managed to pull through.
Now I've done 3 missions without those fucking CC enemies spreading AIDS and stress everywhere, 2 of those to get my first sun rings, and gathering mad dosh to prepare for the upcoming horrors

Gonna prepare my Courtyard party for the Viscount and try to fight some night snakes with my Shiledbreaker. Room by room, mission by mission, Bloodmoon looks doable

...

Jester looks cool and I dig his stress heal and party wide buff. What should his two remaining skills be? Right now they're solo and finale but finale doesn't feel like it's worth bringing since it takes so long to deal decent damage once in a fight. Solo doesn't feel worth it without finale either.

I always use the two bleeding skills he has, the one that hits both positions 2 and 3 and the one that only hits one of 2 and 3. It's basically a waste of one skill since it's only worth using for the bleed anyway, but there really aren't better options, all his other skills are about positions that he can't have if he's going to use the stress heal and buff skills.

>explore 90%
>party fucked up and stressed out
>one room left

>hunger check
>hallway battle probably the Collector
>room battle

hope you enjoy oviposition, fagboi

Alright I'll try that instead

Using tanks feel counter intuitive in a turn based game. Isn't it just better to kill an enemy before she can act too many times?

>Killing the run because Dismas died to a heart attack
Guess I'll just try again

what the fuck is this collector dude and why is he a hallway encounter

>being a pack rat

He collects, you.

*snort*

it's loot that spawns him? i thought it had something to do with my dead heros
fuck i never realised how creepy spines were

>mfw I lost both my Dismas and Reynauld and they came back from the dead before I killed the final boss

Felt really fucking good.

Can someone give me a explanation for the ending? Is it a Groundhog Day loop? Did I just stall the inevitable? Was it lying? Was the Ancestor dead all along or did he ascended

Dude designed to add extra danger to those that have too much in their inventory. He drops good money and is a pretty simple fight so I love encountering him.

The only "real" tank in the game would be Man at Arms and he is really useful, he has one of the highest stun chances in the game with his trinket, can guard allies and riposte enemies and he has very good buffs. Tanking is only useful in very specific situation, like guarding a party member who is on death's door or against a boss' ability. He's a stun machine and a buff bot when guard isn't needed.

If you're over 65% full there's a 5% chance of seeing him.

The Fanatic did nothing wrong.

Dlc worth getting at all?

You are the ancestor now.

So... kinda like a groundhog day loop.

Is buffing a meme? How often should i buff?
I don't want to waste a turn buffing when some asshole can crit my guys to hell.

Am I literally the Ancestor now or did I just invite someone who's related to me under the guise of claiming back the Estate because I'm not in league with the Heart?

>Play for like 3 hours
>Close game, feel like playing something
>See this thread
>Open the fucking game again

Picture related.

i saw him first time couple days ago and he killed my team

I'm enjoying the flagellent very much. Shieldbreaker is weird, i don't know how to properly use her yet. Snake nightmare is shit.

I'm too weak to tackle the court yet. Fuck it user, buy it. If you liked the base game i think you're going to like the DLC.If you haven't played it yet why not pirate it and give a good old test drive?

>Crusader is fucking partician, can afford horse and big, fancy sword.
>Lives in a thatch-roofed plank hut
What?

...

Outside of antiquarian money runs who do I protect with my man-at-arms? I don't think there is a way to tell who will get attacked.

Aren't those the same thing?

...

Shit. Misread "because I'm not in league" as "because I'm now in league"

Still no shieldbreaker

No, it was my fault, that was the intended sentence. I'm asking if I BECAME him or just took his role.

Buffing is not a meme. Dodge up buffs are great, pair them up with accuracy down debuffs and fuck enemies with RNG.

Alright, i'm going to try.

>tfw lost my gundam folder.
>tfw lost all my Haman pictures

>Can someone give me a explanation for the ending?

Cycles of ruin

...

Men-at-Arms are great because their Dodge buff stacks. It's kinda great.

How i kill baron! hes killing all my teams and trinkets.!

hit him until he dies

Riposte his ass into oblivion

You killed yourself, much like he did.
Presumably, the Heart took your form like he did the Ancestor.
As for who wrote to your relative, I don't know. Maybe the caretaker WAS an eldritch abomination or a madman.

TL;DR You didn't LITERALLY become the ancestor, but you did exactly what he did after he discovered the demon hole.

>week 24 and have only killed 4 bosses

Is it just me or is the abom's transformation not enough payoff to be forced to build a party around him?

>Week 30 and have taken 12 casualties to the necroman alone, not even managing to kill him.

His transformation to that thing should only be done under especially terrible occasions. His standard form is perfectly fine.

>mfw dismas lands the final blow on the heart of darkness
>mfw they both found redemption

He's good enough with just his human form as a rank 2, mid-damage (at any rank) stunbot. His 'damage of a leper with the speed and acc of a GR' is just icing on the cake

Just get the stress reducing trinkets for him one is like -25% stress on transformation.

I only take him when I intend to take an occultist anyway and have a jester available to work off the stress he causes. Double abomination is good too, the other one can keep stunning enemies when the front one transforms and you can shuffle them around if one builds too much stress. I don't think he is that great that he's basically banned from most parties especially with the flagellant around, but considering you have to build your roster with the RNG stagecoach and level restrictions for the dungeons, he is not useless.

bad game

Here's your reminder

sounds like someone got R E M I N D E D

>tfw take the most casualties to the fucking Siren
>tfw have the easiest time with Brigand Pounder and Drowned Crew despite Weald and Cove behind the hardest zones
>absolutely despise Swine King and Flesh, despite Warrens being the easiest area when you aren't getting critical vomited on

>he gets surprised
>crit and stun for half his health

>camp
>just one hallway to the Swine King
>only one fight
>for the love of got, let it be worms
>nope, pick related with double cripple them! crits
>force to run away and quit the quest

Just use arbalests flare on the swing king and he cant do shit.

I don't know what those are since I uninstalled and quit like a bitch because I cannot see past week 30 on all of my runs. Are they any worse than those stupid Swine Wretches that keep spamming critical vomits, or those drummers that instantly Drums of Doom the moment the fight starts?

What is the worst addition to the game and why is it the bank?

pic related.

>worst addition
You mean "best" addition.

Guys, help. I can't stop bringing hellion and arbalest. The 4th row reach seems just too useful but maybe it's a noob trap.

I'm hoping that the game gets less tedious after the first couple hours.
>recovery areas are unbelievably slow, expensive, and only slot one at a time (so far)
>it's more economical to use somebody for one trip into the ruins and then immediately dismissing them
>I use plenty of torches (probably more than necessary)
I think I got a handle on how to use people in combat but it doesn't matter if they're all scared to the point of insanity by the end of one or two runs into the ruins.
How the fuck am I supposed to level anybody at this rate?

For me, they are even more hard that the bosses in the Warrens.

>he stars at the back
>he got 3 attacks
>Spit to Roast which hits 1-3; HUGE crit chance, alongside a heavy stun and a push force of 3 and moves this cunt one space
>Cripple Them! the worse one: this hits 4-2 for massive damage with added blight, and a nasty debuff of -6 speed and -10 dodge. Also got HUGE crit chance
>Goring Flight moves him from the front to the back, deals little damage but allows him to get back to use the other two attacks
>and the worse part is this son of a bitch got speed of 9, yes fucking NINE so alot of times he will open the fight with a triple crit leaving you at the mercy of the Hook Pigs or the Piggy Butcher
>only way to counter him? Huge stuns or pull him to the second first two ranks, otherwise you are in massive danger.

The sword was probably ancestral or something.

oh boy you havent seen anything.
they dont disable your all healing skills and gives you super aids.

Are you using the right shit on curios, focusing stress dealing enemies before they get a chance to fuck you, taking heroes with stress heal skills/camp skills?

the game will get more tedious
best bit of advice is to kill the stress giving enemies first, since you have many ways of healing HP and very few to heal stress

You are supposed to manage stress during a dungeon, not after. The bar and church are only a last resort. They shouldn't be relied upon and upgrading them is a waste.

Hey
just going to the room and leaving the fight is considered as exploring it. Found it out yesterday

this is the first I've heard of this, is there a chart for this or should I just use torches and shovels on everything?

If you don't mind spoiling yourself the wiki has a list of all the possible interactions.
darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Curio

>Send a rookie suicide run with antiquarian
>3 rookies get afflicted
>But this one Jester became virtuos and prevented many heartattacks and carried the party
>Dismiss all the rookies except the Jester
>Keep, take care him and upgrading him
>He's still alive after several weeks

Such little insignificant things can easily earn my likings for certain rookies/lvl 0 heroes
Does this happens to you, user?

Yeah the only thing I don't want to spoil myself on is the cutscenes, as shit is going right now this is quickly becoming one of those games that I think I'll just be alt-tabbing to the Wiki and that second post image in this thread.

why grave robber is so shit ?

Stack the evade buff and toss all the daggers user.

Mark synergy parties are some cool shit.

The best stress healer

Booty Hunter protection debuff Mark + Arbalest Sniper shot

BH only gets -20 prot, HM gets -30

PD for adventure crawls and battles hitting those back row fuckers, GR for boss fights. Every dungeon I go to I blight and bleed the shit out of the enemies, and if that hasnt done them in, mark them. cant remember when the last time I just focused on pure raw str

hold the fuck up. this is a game changer. not for me though, ride or die and all that jazz

Good point, although BH can make for a good frontline melee character/tank, if you get a good healer, in my opinion HM is not a good frontline character
