Rock Band was better
Lol this shit was easy if you actually practiced plz git gud
I did it on expert.
Only three stars but I did it.
fucken pleb i 5 starred that shit
mah nigga
People never realized Harmonix made GH1, 2 and RB1 either apparently, RB was always "the guitar hero rip off"
>tried playing GH3 the other day for nostalgia
>used to be able to blaze through most songs on expert
>now I can only get halfway through the game before I get horrible hand cramps
I also learned over the years that many songs are actually easier on real guitar.
desu I wish I still had the game so I could practice up to 5 stars.
Probably for the best since I practice actual guitar instead.
>tfw CANNON BALLERS
>Yellow button on 360 stops working properly.
>Green/Blue on ps2 controller gets stuck.
>Mfw
>Start learning guitar a few years ago as I was motivated by GH3
>Eventually get decent
>Want to learn Knights of Cydonia
>Find out the solo that kicked my ass in GH3 for so long wasn't even played on a guitar, but on a synth
It's like finding out santa isn't real, again
>implying i don't also play real guitar
I love how the hot insult for people who sucked at the game was "hurr play a real guitar faget" when most people who were good at it were also good at guitar.
Hold down green.
>tfw the bottlecap and rubberband trick
I wasn't remotely implying that my man
but what instrument is that supposed to be emulating?
keyboard
rocksmith has you play it on bass
Took me about 2 days of 50-90% speed to be able to tap the intro. Well worth it though, was a cool party trick to impress people with.
DrumMania.
It barely has anything to do with the music though. Pretty stupid tbqh.
>trying to do red snake in GH1
>keysounded game where every single input plays a piece of the audio, requiring perfect execution for the music to sound correct
>less related to the music than a game with a single guitar track that just silences for a moment and makes an annoying TWANG noise whenever you make a mistake
While RB was the rightful successor, it was also more geared toward mainstream audiences, even compared to the GH tracklists.
Reminder that all music games are acceptable ways to spend time except one
kek
but does this mean that EBA is cancer too?
Agreed
nobody was implying that, autist
DS OSU! or bootleg osu!?
btw he didnt imply that btw
>acceptable
>implying I care what a manchild thinks about how I spend my time
I am of course talking about PC osu! and anything related to it
autism post
What's that game on PC where you can plug in a real guitar?
spotted the asshurt fag who sucks at rhythm games and tells people to play real instruments
Rocksmith
Rocksmith
Is it any good?
Good, better not hate based Japanese delinquents and CIA rhythm agents.
>keys that plays nearly ALL instruments in the music
>can choose between guitar, bass, drums parts exclusively
yeah you go ahead and play your dubstep emulator
>can handle only one instrument at a time
Sure, thanks.
Which rhythm game has the best game feel
But that's literally not true.
Sound Voltex.
Normally I'm not one to say this kind of thing, but man why not just learn to actually plan an instrument if you're going to dedicate 10,000 hours to something like this
autism post 2
Who says you can't do both? Music games are fun though, I don't really play much else these days. Hitting the arcade with some friends, playing IIDX or SDVX, and getting some drinks is fun
because it's fun
a lot of people that are good at rhythm games also play instruments, which is why they're so good at rhythm games
You can apply this same logic to literally any game that requires time to git gud. People invest more time into far more degenerate games like LoL and Overwatch.
>he didn't learn how to tap
>have awesome CIA agents or japanese delinquents
>OSU is mainly shit pedo weeb themes
WHY
unironically
>jojo is included there
fuck
Yes user, Jojo is very much entry level weeb bait.
Which part is not true.
>OSU!/EBA = PC OSU
Is That a JoJo Reference?
then the game should play like this instead of just a keyboard then huh?
but i like it
>mfw Trogdor on the highest difficulty
>not playing pop'n

God, I wish there was a proper, modern home console version of this.
Overly sensitive AND autistic
>this is simpler and easier to do on a real guitar
youtube.com
>Tfw you thought you were hot shit because you could play every song on expert in Rock Band, then you try Japanese rhythm games and get immediately humbled
I can finally clear 10s in Future Tone at least
I tried this at a con and just embarrassed myself, then watched a girl that couldn't be older than like 16 ace a song like the one in this video
Well user, they sell controllers for a reason :^)
Those that play bemani games at cons often have a lot of practice
It sucks because I don't have the money for an arcade controller, so I can't practice at home, but the closest arcade with Pop'n is four fucking hours away.
I just want to get good at Pop'n, man. Even Taiko got a new console version.
>decide to try playing pop'n for the first time on vacation at a round one
>the volume on the machine is so loud that fucking everyone within 20-30 feet can hear it
>there's guys who've been playing the miku and SDVX machines for over an hour and have been gettings SSS ranks like there's no tomorrow who stop for a moment to glance over
>accidentally pick the cowboy bebop theme on ultra-easy
>fuck up the first eight notes
>get up and go back to playing the dodonpachi machine
I've never been more welcoming of death than I was in that moment.
youtube.com
>you will never EVER be this good
everyone had to start somewhere user
Should've just owned it, those guys blasting through extreme Miku songs couldn't always do that
Anyone playing Invector?
Probably not, since only like 100 people picked it up.
It's pretty fun, even if the entire tracklist is the same artist.

Did you at least earn back a small amount of respect by doing well on DDP?
Meme charts were a mistake
i fc'd cliffs of dover probably 400 times. the solos are too fun
I got to stage 3 without getting hit, once.
It was the one in your webM.
Raining blood
From a lacerated sky
Bleeding its horror
Creating my structure
Now I shall reign in blood!
Ironically Raining blood is piss easy on a real guitar.
It's okay user, DoDonPachi DaiOuJou is a hard game, just keep practising and you'll beat it eventually. I'm not really much better, but I practised and I was able to 1-ALL the first DoDonPachi.
>tfw high point of my life was tapping that intro for a crowd in the finals at a GH tournament my school had as a fundraiser
no fucking shit sherlock
>tfw I had a rubber band on my GH guitar to act as a capo literally just for that intro
God fucking dammit I miss Guitar Hero. Fuck you Activision for running it into the ground
Guitar hero helped me a lot, my fingers were so clumsy before the game.
>tfw became too much of a cynical Sup Forums elitist to properly enjoy GH anymore
JoJo IS good, but a huge portion of its fanbase (the ones that only watched the anime) became pretty much Rick & Morty-like.
You know, with the Switch becoming more and more the weeb console of choice, it wouldn't be bad to see Pop'n make a comeback on that.
The problem is if they bother to release a proper controller specialized for that game, it would cost a shit ton.
>>tfw became too much of a cynical Sup Forums elitist to properly enjoy GH anymore
Get Clone Hero and download Death Grips and Neutral Milk Hotel charts :^)
who taiko here
>The problem is if they bother to release a proper controller specialized for that game, it would cost a shit ton.
tfw after shelling out for a IIDX controller and SDVX controller it just feels like the normal cost of admission at this point. Friend also has one for jubeat and popn
now this is projecting
Mostly because it's fun. I enjoy clearing harder and harder songs the longer I keep at it and the sense of community at the arcade/internet cafe makes it so I can be That Guy around certain people and stare in awe at people who do crazy IIDX/SDVX shit and hope to one day reach that level. I did play music back in school, but there's not much of a point for me to try to learn more. I'm not going to be in a band or be the millionth fag uploading song covers to Youtube
I taiko here
>buy drum controller
>breaks after 2 months
It's like they didn't realize you hit drums to make sound.
>>this is simpler and easier to do on a real guitar
That video is fucking awful, what the hell are you talking about?
>switch brings console pop'n back
>it's a sequel to the wii game
>what the hell are you talking about?
The intro.
Jesus Christ, your self esteem is fucking 0. What a retard
