A good game isn't going to sell well when you alienate your entire target audience by filling it with SJW propaganda and marketing it towards people who don't actually play video games.

I didn't even know Lawbreakers until a week ago, when some particularly dedicated Sup Forums posters kept posting the declining playercount. Then I delved into the case and saw the truth for myself.

What I saw was, that the game had several issues.
The gameplay, seemingly good, so I had to look elsewhere.
Then I saw the game's logo. The smiley face. Seriously?
Then the heroes which didn't look very appealing in their design. Generically themed heroes who don't have a personality or any character. Think Tracer of OW, or Widowmaker, none of that in LB.
Then it dawned upon me, that the game simply didn't have enough going for it, at least to compete against today's giants.
I think Cliff, most importantly, hyped the game too much as "the next billion dollar IP" when it obviously didn't pass anywhere near that threshold.

If he had been a bit more laid back with the advertising, I think it would've been a great success.
