Fuck no. Community is shit, game is optimized like shit and looks hideous what other multiplayer game has gotten visual downgrades since launch? balance is mediocre, especially with how small the cast is, you'll just see the same meta characters dominating

I've been burned out on TF2 ages ago. If you've already uninstalled TF2 two or three times, I suspect you have too. I say don't.

Team Fortress 2 is just run around and shoot people. Overwatch is GUYS PLS PICK X Y Z PLS WIN GUYZ GUZY. So depends which one you like more.

I bought it recently and got about 20 or so hours of fun out of it, but once I started playing competitive and hitting level ~30-ish the game lost all allure for me completely. The issue with the game is that nobody is willing to play tank or support, yet everyone has an expectation for everyone else to play those roles. I ended up playing Reinhardt and Ana the most, even though my favourite characters were Reaper and Widowmaker. Community is shit, too.
I miss Bad Company 2.

I know I'm a faggot who doesn't like playing online shooters because I'm bad at them, but I fucking hate snipers and theres so many of them in overwatch, a bunch of fucking try hard teenagers ruin the experience everytime I've tried to get into it.

Same. The issue with terrible snipers in Overwatch is that, if they're shit - which is 99% of the time - it's like playing a 4v5. A bad Widow or Hanzo offers you nothing. At the same time, having a good Widow on your team is amazing.

No one plays it so if you do, heads up.

Don't expect tf2 to be like it was in its prime days, but it's still the best online shooter atm

I haven't been able to find another class-based shooter that was as good as vanilla TF2 but I haven't been really looking either. Only one I've considered was Rainbow Six Siege but it has a gigantic paywall from what I hear. Try some other genres out.

The game died the moment Quick Play removed the ability to have 2 of the same character on a team.
No more fun and creative hijinks allowed, even in the non-comp mode you have to conform to "the meta".

Yes there's custom modes in the server browser and I had some fun with that for a bit, but the options for mode creation are pretty limited and the inability to make/edit a map really restrict things.

It was fun when I got it during Season 2, now it's just a communist shitfest.

There are LITERALLY only two. The other one is a support, so it doesn't really matter, and only one of them (Hanzo) actually gets shit done. I'm not trying to shit on you, but I know for a fact you're low rank. After some time, this problem is non-existant then it gets replace by other real problems.

Snipers are always a real problem. Whenever I see a scope in my killcam, I pop a vein. Fucking hate those dirty rats in every game.

The game has always been dogshit solo queue. Especially in competitive.

What is the point of doing that? I can sort of understand if it were Competitive, but why Quick Play, and for what purpose?

Also, is it true you get banned for using 1 character over and over?

OW was fun for a while, but it wasn't really designed with any longevity.
I play TF2 constantly for years because there was always something I could be doing different. I could play normal play on valve maps, get bored, move onto custom maps and game modes which had dozens upon dozens of choices.
I really think OW would be better with a custom server browser with custom game modes and maps. I don't mean the custom mode they have now where you just edit stats I mean things like prophunt or Saxton Hale. It might not seem like much, but having that small degree of customization really adds not only hours of fun playtime, but can even draw in a plethora of new players. I really have no idea why modern shooters don't do it.

But the reason they removed double heroes for quick play was just complaints. People were complaining about the enemy team having something like 2 mercys. While it was annoying for sure, I don't think it had to be removed. It really fucked a lot of stuff over.
