Shadow of the colossus remaster
Silent hill HD collection

...

Not good examples since they actually remove technology.

chromatic abberation

I remember 360 games saturated a lot of colors and made things "bluer" when I was comparing a few games to the PC version like Crysis 2

>Shadow of the colossus remaster

Except that looks fine you dumbass

...

And how does the Blu Ray remaster improve LOTR?
Blue filter?

It really doesn’t user. I’ll let them off for the time being as it’s not the finished product

Is this actually real? I own both blueray and dvd but never watched them side by side like that.

>buy blue ray
>complain about everything blue
you choose that

Probably Metro Redux. Though I haven't played the redux, there's always some sperg pissed off about the changes.

some dumb intern added a color filter to each movie, god knows why

MGSV E3 trailer and the final game.

Video games where people don't configure their TVs to match the media they are using?

Sorry, can't think of any,

can't that be fixed by just changing tv settings

at least my overpriced asus monitor can do it

>unironically shilling for Sony
Lay off the Soylent.

remakes

The 2033 redux is pretty shit, imagine Metro with half the atmosphere and CoD AI.

...

Shit I just opened my blueray version and it is that blue. What the fuck? Is there no proper release?

FFVI

Probably to try and mask some of the janky effects on HDTVs

Well, shit.

how autistic are you that a slight colour filter bothers you

Is the filter applied to the rest of the movie?

lol get it cause its blue ray

This.

You have to be eye-tistic ;;;;;;;;)))))

I get it. It's blue because of Blu-ray.

>mod colour filter away
>get banned

BF3 was when that series died on PC. Used to have a bunch of non-intrusive mods in Bad Company 2, like changing the songs that played in the helicopters with zero bans.

It's not a blue filter throughout the entire movie.
It's like the most prominent color of each scene is applied over the whole video.

So this is unfixable, unless you want to edit each scene
Fucking great
Jesus

INFO ON OP
It's just the Fellowship Extended Edition Blu-ray.
It IS the entire movie.

There is a fix, here's a walkthrough
howtogeek.com/238725/how-to-fix-the-green-tint-in-the-lord-of-the-rings-fellowship-of-the-ring-extended-edition-blu-ray/

There has to be an edited version to download or something. There is no way some autistic lotr fag didn't go apeshit over this and edit it himself. I need to find it.

Apparently it is fixable though requires a bit of tinkering

oh, fuck that shit
I guess I have to find the dvd release instead, even if it has a shitty resolution

>BF3 was when that series died on PC
BF1 is pretty fun

The 2nd movie always had a blue tint to a lot of scenes, and I don't think the blu-rays changed much in the 2nd and 3rd. The blu-ray for the first also added a LOT of green to shire scenes, and Rivendell probably looks better overall. The thing about color shifts is that they're incredibly glaring side-by-side, but you very quickly get used to them without a reference to compare them to. For example, most people's monitors aren't color accurate at all, but they'd never know without looking at something properly calibrated next to it. And even then they might still prefer the "bad" screen, because people tend to subjectively prefer cold colors and dark crush over the opposite. A good example is the IPS screens on the 3DS, that have just as awful accuracy as the TN panels, but in a way that people prefer.

>blu-ray movies
>blu
>blue
>blue movies

That's some evil genie level of bullshit, though.

I have never played BF3, but I kind of get nostalgic about all the Sup Forums stuff about it.

>All the "Be advised" memes
>The "Why don't you have a girlfriend" easter egg
>That time one of the mods stickied his own server on Sup Forums, and made everyone get mad at him

>Shadow of the colossus remaster
Which one? PS3 or the new one on PS4? Because the PS3 remaster is perfect, actually better than PS2.

It's lotr though, nigga. Fucking lord of the ringssss. And there's already a version WITHOUT the filters that came out beforehand. Like wtf.

...

...

I pretty much stopped playing the series after 3 partially because I got into DaS really heavy and partially because rent a servers really killed my enjoyment after their release. I got real tired of getting banned or switched to the other team if I did to well or killed the server admin too much.

thanks consoles

Here's the opposite happening. The PS2 version of San Andreas had a strong orange/yellow filter that was removed when the game came out on PC/Xbox.

What's the Sup Forums equivalent of this?

What about it? Those are two diff volumes

...

left looks better

Probably PS4 since it adds a piss filter and vignette.

Why are the elven railings only at an appropriate height for hobbits?

...

>Left looks better

Frostbite is a pain in the ass to work with if you aren't DICE, and expecting Bioware to cope after almost a decade of Unreal was the most retarded decision ever, modded ME2 and ME3 are more attractive and consistent games visually than ME:A

its a room for hobbits

Because they're there to keep Elf children from falling off.

Nidhogg to Nidhogg 2?

>that face on the right hands back side
Man, the 90s were kind of fucked.

Hey, editing/film theory nerds, what is the relevance of the filter and why was it approved?

because retards

I hate it when I buy a DVD and the adverts on it (which already piss me off) are for Blu-Ray as a concept.

They're not saying "if you enjoy the thing you bought, you might enjoy this other related thing" like so many other adverts in similar situations, they're saying "you wasted your money on an obsolete format, you idiot". It's really annoying.

Also fuck blu-rays. DVDs fo' lyfe.

Is it as simple as "Hey, I thought this better emphasized the theme of the film so I [insert arbitrary personal taste here]

because if that's how things flow these days, that's pretty cool. A lot of work/job freedom.

Syndicate has loads of prebaked AO and lighting like Mirror's Edge that absolutely no one will see until you use a mod to remove the horrible bloom, which was 100% an EA decision according to a disgruntled ex-Starbreeze dev now at MG

gamesradar.com/56-eye-melting-screens-most-hilariously-over-the-top-bloom-lighting-in-video-game-history/

The gunplay is pretty good and the maps are comfy, but the bloom pretty much killed it's launch rep, and it's hardly anything like the original, and the story makes me think it didn't originally start as a Syndicate game to begin with

Remake generally looks better

what the fuck were they thinking??

It's more atmospheric.

ITS A BLU RAY SO ITS BLUE. GET IT?? BLUE.

elves don't need railings, they're incapable of being clumsy

blue looks cinematic and makes skin tones pop

Watch a movie trailer on your Phone and TV at the same time. You will realize how shit LCD TVs are very quickly.

Brainlets have a hard time understanding complex color tones.

Remake looks better except for the damning fact that the moon looks like an angry Mr. Bean.

It really does though.

>bluray turns it blue
woah

Fucksing thank you for posting the same shitty meame trash that 9001 faggots already posted in this veryy thread than ks you very smuch anonon!!

Proof

>Chromatic aberation
>lensflare
>bloom
>HDR
>color filter/saturation
>depth of field

Did I miss anything else?

This is truely next gen hell

Also, your AI helper is fucking Dexter's computer, this isn't a joke either, it's Kath Soucie doing the exact same voice, even if this wasn't intentional, it was hard to take the game's unusually-serious story seriously, and your telegraphed and cartoonishly evil partner make things worse, along with Skrillex dropping it during major battles

Are you implying that Cisquisition didn't work on frostbite much better than Andromeda.

I guess that's why they call it BLUE-ray

HAHAHA

damn

None of those are inherently bad.

>blu-ray
>has a blue filter
what's the problem here?

Yet somehow NFS devs and main branch of Bioware are working fine with it

Disregarding the obviously better resolution - yes. Left looks better.

CA and DoF are,the rest needs to be used subtly.

You making the same obvious joke before reading the thread, retard

your own fault for not buying the natural colors-ray

get it? the blu-ray has blue tint so the natural colors-ray would have natural colors tint haha

Are you guys little brothers by any chance?

I could do without the blur, but the orange gives it flavor.

>watching your animes on vlc

missed

>film grain/noise
>dithering

what piss filter? if anything it removed the filters and fog it had and now it looks far too clean

But your eyes have more to play with in vibrancy, that doesn't make sense. If you stimulate your audience more, there is a higher likelihood that they will come back and put money into other franchising products. The fact that I can't even understand the logic must mean there is some cool study I haven't read about regarding colors. (Google gave me nothing interesting in the last 10 minutes)
I can see that, in alternative sports videos, especially high end red and black magic filmed. The use of this filter adds a dramatic tension to the environments. It looks clean cut. For whatever reason though, in this case it dampens the impact of the techniques used in the era it was filmed. Why does it look bad to me? Is it that I'm older, is there a trend I should be picking up on?

>phone

Hahahhahahahhahahahahahhahaah they're garbage for accurate colors, get a calibrated tv or monitor retard.

t. ISF calibrator

>Buy blu-ray video
>Mad when scenes are blue

Uh, DUH?

The main branch of Bioware also had DICE as support during DA:I's development, something that didn't happen with ME:A's team, and a load of competent EA vets work at Ghost, so of course they work fine with it
