It's worth playing, in any way you can. Trust me, I thought this was some SJW meme game, but it ended up being arguably the best gaming experience I've ever had, and the most I've ever felt for characters in any medium.

It perfectly manages to create a very powerful nostalgic vibe where you remissness about teenager stuff. It gets the atmosphere perfectly right with the music and themes like suicide, bullying, loss of friendship, growing up, etc. Constantly hearing Max's internal dialogue as she reflects on everything going on also makes her really grow on you as a character. At times you end up almost knowing everything she will say, and often feel the exact same way. As Max develops and becomes stronger you feel proud of her, because over the course of the game she has grown so close to you.

I think the first games long-term success kind of changes that. Without Max and Chloe I think it would be difficult to get old fnas to like and additionally difficult to rope in new people with a game thats different from its origin. Theyll put in several nods to the first at the very least.

Played episode 1 when it came out free. Seemed like a decent premise and the minimal gameplay works as a storytelling game. Characters turned out like standard highschoolish aged people except one controls time. The adults are the ones who seem off if anything but thats the point of seeing everything through the eyes of a teen.
