I thought he was one of the worse fights in the game on my first melee-only playthrough. Probably just salty though because that one close range attack he has where he pounds the ground with the top of his hammer. Very fast, probably his second or third most damaging attack.
I felt pic related was better, actually. He's like if the Pursuer didn't look like he had elephant syndrome and was a more frantic boss fight.
