The Stanley Parable or Antichamber deserves this award

more than your autistic Doki Doki Garbage

But Stanley Parable is easily described.

>Portal rip off with gameplay removed

>gmod
>literally a autistic game that needs other games to work
dumbasses

How is it a portal ripoff? there's hundreds of source engine mods that are sold as actual games on Steam and you autists shill them most of the time (like Day of Infamy)

Pony Island deserves it more tho.

Thanks for reminding me to vote for DDLC.

indie trash has no place
fuck them all

It's the exact same concept.
>Humble office worker
>Spooky underlying world

...

Chell wasn't even an employee

With that thinking every game is a rip off you dumbass

Why do you give a fuck

because nominations are shit tier no one even nominated Hat in Time for the “The World Is Grim Enough Let's Just All Get Along” award

>Popular game is going to win a popularity contest

How would you explain one of these games to a friend who has never played a video game before?

It doesn't matter. The point of Portal was to question your surroundings and whether or not to follow orders or go off on your own.

Stanley Parable repackaged that message with a new narrator and no actual gameplay for $15.

>popularity contest

Doki is only popular due to Markiplier

There is no "underlying world" in Stanley Parable. Every single path leads in a completely different direction that doesn't make sense with half of the others. It's a game about exploration and breaking convention of following the directions a game gives you.

All I'll say is that Garry's Mod definitely shouldn't win. The other 4 all do something interesting, Garry's is just something you dump models and other shit into and run around doing nothing; it's just kind of a sandbox.

You must not like narrative driven experiences then, don't get The Beginner's guide you'll think it's a ripoff of Call of duty

>sandbox
>non-Euclidean environment with shitty puzzles
>never played it
>never played it
>babby' s first meta VN

WOW

EYE should win this shit
try explaining it

Post apocalyptic shooter with shitty controls

No, why do you give a fuck about the awards? Are you a normie?

Stanley Parable is finding as many ways as possible to fuck around with a narrator's story only to realize you're just being fucked around with no matter what, until you can actually find a way outside the story.

Pony Island is some sort of basic platformer that you're being "forced" to play by Satan or something. I haven't played it either.

voted for doki

>garry's mod
It's kind of like a self contained game engine, you can make things and play other people's things.
>ANTiCAMBER
Puzzle game, video games don't need to follow real world rules and the game uses this to fuck with you.
>The Stanley Parable
Same as ANTiCHAMBER but is more focused on story rather than puzzles and more toned down on the reality fuckery.
I'd personally use the term walking simulator, I don't think that's a bad thing though.
>Pony Island
It's been awhile since I played it but I think it was something like this.
Point and click adventure, does some meta stuff.
>DDLC
Visual Novel with dark tones and some meta stuff.

you can describe both of those easily and they don't defy it. steam awards are shit.

or just don't get it because it's garbage

why are ten year old "games" on this list?

everybody will vote for the current hotness anyway.

>being a faggot

Neither of those games came out this year though

>calling user a faggot when you are posting a trap

Say that to my face fucker not online and see what happens

The thing that fucking gets me about Pony Island is that there has been a Neopets style website called Pony Island that has existed for years and then this motherfucker comes along and uses the name for his indie meme game. I can't believe there's no legal action due to trademark violation.

Ikr?
I'm also mad, but still the dev fucking nailed it.

pony island probably "deserves" it, but i'm not voting for it

>narrative driven experiences

Garry's mod should win because it's the only game on the list that retained an audience.

Pony Island deserves it way more then any of those other """games""" it isn't even funny, but these awards are a joke anyways.
