>Sup Forums tells me that assassin's creed is shit for years >decide to play one of them >it is actually fun as fuck and very enjoyable I shouldn't listen to you chumps and play some of the other games.
Anyone else get fooled by Sup Forums like this?
Gavin Myers
>brainlet drone enjoys a game designed for the most casual lowest common denominator
Anthony Reyes
>I shouldn't listen to you chumps and play some of the other games. that is certainly true, but your case is somewhat different, since you picked one of the few good ones by accident
if you had picked AC3 you would thank Sup Forums for warning you
Michael Kelly
Assassin's Creed is shit because they got rid of the story and are doing weird ass shit now just because. Also, everyone here likes black flag what the fuck are you talking about?
Joseph James
I thought black flag was fun. The assassin creed stealth and following sections are still shit. Are there any great pirate games?
Caleb Myers
syndicate is also good
Bentley Rodriguez
>mfw i like AC3
Ayden Gray
>i let other people tell me what to like
Jonathan Reed
that's the same face I'm making right now how is that possible? just curious, did play the other games beforehand or was AC3 your first? because then I can somewhat understand
Nathaniel Wilson
Sup Forums fucking loves Black Flag. It's the other titles that are shit.
Kevin Scott
ac3 wasnt bad, connor was just a shit character
Daniel Roberts
I played Brotherhood first. Legit no idea why but I enjoyed AC3, the environment and doing shit in the Achilles
Jace Perez
>got AC3 for free >got AC4 for free >wasn't planning to play anything after this, because all I wanted was the end of Desmond's shitty story and then some pirates
James Morales
I liked the historical look, the ship building, and some of the story. The assassins shit was weaker that it could have been. It was easier and funner to just dart people, throw bombs, and run around while fighting than it was to do stealth shit. I didn't care for the collect-a-thon too much but I did like hunting for treassure and attacking ships because they had ass loads of sugar and rum..
A quick google tells me 2, brotherhood, and origins are good. Syndicate and unity are abominations and 3 gets a mixed reaction.
Ryan Adams
Well I can admit that I did like Connor and his story as well as the music, Haytham was the best.
But everything else I just couldn't like. I found the game boring as fuck.
Landon Adams
Wild opinion incoming.
Ubisoft games are never shit. they're always decent at worst. The thing is, they never really go past "good" either.
Xavier Bell
ok black flag is a good pirate game and i thought it was good too, but i feel like black flag was not a fun assassins creed game, i mean ac2 had more assassin shit and the climbing was better cuz you were climbing tall buildings and the quest were better cuz black fag was obsessed with thoughs shitty follow missions
Jose Mitchell
2, Black Flag and Brotherhood are the holy trinity at this point. They are the best. Origins is quite good too and has already made it in the top 3 for most people.
Everything else from alright to hot garbage.
Logan Bennett
varies* fuck
Robert James
There are people on Sup Forums who claim Unity is the best one. I wouldn't know, though. Maybe they're just baiting.
Not such a wild opinion, really. Ubisoft sticks to a proven formula. Even outside of the Assassin's Creed series, everything they make just has the same feel. And even the first Assassin's Creed just felt like an extension of the parkour stuff from their mid-2000s Prince of Persia games.
Jordan Russell
too easy pacing was really bad too much side fluff like hunting bad boss fights and "cinematic" moments connor's dialogue where he talks about how shitty everything is and giving closure to his storyline getting cut it's not an awful game but it's where the series jumped into full retard AAA mode
Lucas Nguyen
>Liking a game where you press one button to win >liking a game where 70% of the assassin missions are just tailing missions. >Liking a game where 70% of pirate missions are just ship tailing missions. >Liking a game where there is no depth to the combat, stealth and ship combat.
Seriously dude just stop. AC4 is shit and even worse than a lot of the other shitty AC titles.
Aaron Flores
They are masters at making those kids of games that you buy on a sale to just enjoy for a while.
Grayson Perez
I started with 2(still haven't played 1 out of lack of interest), and I like 3 as well, though it's got a lot of flaws to acknowledge. Though I also think Ezio is annoying as shit, and as bad as arkham creed combat is, 2's is just hot garbage in a cesspool. Connor wasn't that bad a character, but he was he didn't have any assassin swagger, which is what I think Ezio shitters get assmad about.
Adrian Johnson
Is it wrong that I'm annoyed by the fact that Brotherhood and Revelations are treated as separate games instead of expansions? They're each bigger than the typical expansion, if I remember correctly, but it would make more sense if they were all considered part of Assassin's Creed II, considering they were followed up by an Assassin's Creed III. You can't even pass it off as "oh they're just optional spin-offs" because the story progresses during those games, so really, Assassin's Creed III is the fifth game in the series, period. They dropped the numbering after Assassin's Creed IV anyway, but no other entry in the series turned into its own mini trilogy. Whatever, I'm probably just autistic.
Henry Cook
Reminder that AC1 and AC2 are the only canon games and then AC got cancelled because its creator got fired.
Reminder that AC was supposed to be a trilogy and end with a completely different AC3.
Reminder that everything post-AC2 is just pure mediocrity with no cohesive vision, and enjoyable games like Black Flag are pure accidents.
This franchise should have never become big. But I can't blame Ubisoft for turning this into a cash cow, everyone would have done it.
Jace Miller
brotherhood and syndicate were better than AC2
Joshua White
Back when Brotherhood and Revelations were still fairly new everyone thought that. People used to call Brotherhood AC 2.5.
Camden Hughes
>70% of pirate missions are just ship tailing missions >not blowing up this ship
Benjamin Reed
I can understand why some would like Brotherhood more but fucking Syndicate? Fuck off and don't even think about replying to me.
Jacob Jackson
I would take Haytham over Shay any day. Haytham for best Templar.

>get AC black flag for free >give it a try since I haven't played an ac game in years >actually pretty cool, but way way too easy and there's way too much shit on the ocean >google to see if there's a difficulty setting or something, maybe a way to turn down ship spawning so the ocean actually feels like an ocean instead of a crowded puddle >nothing but people complaining that it's too hard >one thread on ubi forums complaining about it, with the rest of the thread nothing but dicksuckers disagreeing
I just want a cool pirate game without all the garbage AC brings. >hey we have this cool mechanic where ships carry different stuff around and if you want something in particular you need to hunt down a ship carrying it >cool, but we can't have the 12 year olds that make up the majority of our audience inconvenienced by gameplay, make sure there are at least 7 ships in sight at all time so they never have to wait more than 3 seconds to shoot a cannon at something

Unity is good. The people that disliked it didn't play it and just parrot shit or drop it before building up their assassin. There nothing bad about Unity now really. Most mordern pcs can handle it find and the game does thing some much better than the others. People whine about stale and easy ACs are, but aren't willing to give the game that has the most depth to it's gameplay a chance. Seriously, anyone that says it's trash didn't play the game or jumped on to the series with AC4, because it's pretty much a stepped up verison of AC1 and AC2. Or they are story fags and the pointless story really hurt their opinion on the game. Which it shouldn't if they like other ACs, because other than AC1 and 2 all the stories have been shit.
Jacob Gray
The only good changes Unity made were getting rid of 1shot counters and playing dressup. I guess it's better than 1 but that's not saying much considering how barebones and formulaic 1 was.
Jeremiah Flores
4 was actually the best Assassins Creed. It just has the misfortune of being surrounded by turds. AC3 was laughibly bad and is one of the main reasons AC has such a bad rep today. And Rouge, while having the benefit of having 4's engine, just had a terrible story and what little they did change/add is equally awful
4 > 1 > 2 = Brotherhood >>> Rouge >>>>> All the rest
Lincoln Robinson
>"IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOLD, WE COULD HAVE BEEN HEROES!"
That shit, plus the ending, really got me. First and currently the only video game to actually give me a lump in my throat.
Zachary Taylor
>he only thinks about shooting cannons at ships Low-test, no-imagination nigger right here.
Jackson Kelly
I still maintain that AC1 should have been a standalone game. It just had a nice mystery with a solid cliffhanger. 2 was pretty good but it already showed some signs that they didn't entirely know where they were going with the story. Then it all went out the fucking window with Brotherhood HURR ANCIENT AYYLMAOS
AC4 was fun at least.
Christopher Williams
I had fun with 1 and 2 but then I just started brotherhood but it doesn't really add anything at all and it's getting boring
Caleb Ward
AC2 and AC4 are the only good games.
Isaiah Nguyen
>Anyone else get fooled by Sup Forums like this? No cause I don't take part in the echo chamber
Christian Allen
Are these games anything like MGS5?
Cameron White
Ac unity got rid of the counter kills and kill streaks. Gave you move combat options like down stabs, charge attacks, tackles and tripping. It also gave you more unique weapon types. Add actual stealth mechanics. GAVE you fucking freedom in how you approach your targets for the first time instead of guiding the player. It gave you depth in the level design, with out door and indoor building infultration, on the likes of have options to enter above, underground, through a diversion, or a hidden path. It also had the best atmosphere since ac1. From settings that are pretty like fireworks in paris, to creepy horror like settings of the poorer areas. The free running isn't just hold one button to do everything anymore and actually lets you decide if you want to run up, jump over or jump down. Oh also the enemies are nit push overs. You can just easily kill everyone if you get caught for the first time the series. You can handle small groups but until you are level'd up, you have to escape or you will die. Unity did things so much better and if it wasn't for it's broken release before the patches people wouldn't undermine all the great things it finally fixed/brought to the series.
Brody Hill
I really do. AC4 is the game i wanted since the first pirates of the Caribbean came out and boy did it scratch that itch. With bonuses.
I didnt even know I wanted a harpooning mini game
Evan Wilson
what AC4 does right is that the open world is less "open" and more filled you could argue that it's filled with a lot of useless missions and collectibles, but the thing is what other open world games do wrong is that things are more spread out. playing Syndicate it's unnerving how long it takes to get another thing to do. okay not really unnerving, it's more like it takes a minute or two to get to the next mission/chest/watch tower. but a few minutes means a lot when you're playing. if you're doing nothing but move forward for a few minutes you're not playing a game, you're waiting for the next thing to do.
what AC4 adds that makes it better to is the ship battle stuff. if you're bored the same old stuff you can move to another feature in the game and do that enough until you miss fucking around in the open world.
Open World games need to feel less "Open" and more full pic unrelated
Luke Russell
I got Origins for Christmas. As someone who only played games before 3 and completely ignored the recent ones, just how different is it gameplay-wise? Also is it fun?
Austin Gutierrez
brotherhood is literally 2 with a rome dlc
Robert Reed
user you played the only good AC, the others are pretty bad
Bentley Butler
Please help. I want more games like MGS5
Benjamin Baker
brotherhood was fun just because you got to call in the help to do all the fighting for you
Hudson Harris
>Sup Forums tells me black flag is great >first naval battle is some on-rails shit (just like all the others i'm assuming, because I didn't go very far) >platforming is just holding a button, braindead >combat is terrible >games take me off for a terrible modern day part that i don't care >follow people from a distance mission >havana looks terrible and has nothing fun to do Sup Forums is basically IGN at this point
Brandon Evans
You really have to take Sup Forums's recommendations with a grain of salt. A large amount of them are people just being assholes, you know, trolls.
Honestly Sup Forums is the only place where someones opinion of something being good is better than someones opinion of it being shit. As in if 4/5 people told me a book was bad, I'd be inclined to believe them. But if 4/5 people on Sup Forums told me a game was bad, I'd be inclined to find out what made number five have his opinion, and not be at all surprised when it turned out that he just enjoyed a fucking videogame and the rest are loud opinionated trolls, often with bad taste.
Zachary Sullivan
AC2 was a better assassins creed, but black fag has the good setting and the ship combat is kinda fun
