THE TRIBUNAL ARE FALSE

Azura get out

Why did Skyrim make mana become just a second stamina bar?

My only tribunal is Ysmir Wulfharth, Tiber Septim, and Zurin Arctus

when was it not?

But it always is.

this is the best elder scrolls quest period.

prove me wrong

imagine if your tastes were so pleb, you thought whodunit was even a good quest

JUST CAUSE I AINT ALMSIVI
THE TRIBUNAL ARE AFRAID OF ME, HUH

I have! I worship the Hist every day!
You know, the only living gods.
That haven't abandoned their people.
And haven't been giant dicks about it.
And actually do things for their people.
And aren't dead.

as stated previously

prove me wrong faget

Not even an oblivionfag (it's objectively the worst in the series), but god damn if this quest isn't a fucking stroke of genius, the writing is legitimately good (which for bethesda post-morrowind is insane), the concept is unique, and the amount of options is greater than any other quest in the series I can think of

>this is the best elder scrolls quest period.

My favourite quest ever is legitimately handing out religious fliers for the Temple of Mara in Riften.

why did you kill him, Sup Forums?

>why did you kill him, Sup Forums?

Orders are orders.

The concept is not unique, it's just And Then There Were None done on a smaller scale.

It is one of the best missions in the series though I'll give you that.

>the writing is legitimately good
god. yeah right.
your options are just
>talk to a person
>convince them to go somewhere alone with shitty writing
>1 hit kill them because their HP is literally 1 point
>rinse and repeat
>last two survivors, tell the person that the other guy is definitely the killer and we should kill them
>they rush off and kill that person with their own hands
>speak to them, and they realize that YOU are the killer because now there's only two people now instead of three, despite the fact that they were convinced that they were going to kill the killer, so they attack you
it's all heavily scripted shit that's just too fucking easy and retarded. none of it impressed me even when I was a huge oblivion fag when the game came out.

The quest marker told me to

>your options are just, talk to a person, then kill them

welcome to every fucking quest in the elder scrolls, dumb down any quest in that way and 99% of them fit that bill

>it's all heavily scripted shit

are you joking? The entire quest is the conflicting personalities and guests becoming increasingly more erratic and paranoid as they get picked off. The power is entirely in the player to learn about each character and their biases' and then take advantage in literally any way they want, not to mention the extra added options of tricking guests to go to secluded places which just adds another layer of options in how you kill them

In terms of mixing writing/gameplay is it the undisputed champ of elder scrolls quests

...

yeah, too bad they're fucking retarded and the quest can be done in a minute. real deep shit, bro.
and such interest personalities.
>"Oh I like this guy. He's so dreamy! Oh, you said he'll meet me alone in the basement because he likes me too? Wowee, guess I'll wait down there for you to kill me!"
really great.

>implying that i didnt sever their connection to the heart or lorkhan and kill them like they murderedâ„¢ sweet nerevar

is this one of kirkbrides own illustrations?

why was he such a genius

>implying anybody on modern Sup Forums has played through tribunal

>implying anybody on modern Sup Forums has even played through Morrowind

>Morrowind will soon be 16 years old

Newfag since 2015, I played Tribunal a few months ago for the first time. But I know that I'm in a very small minority among the cancer that has consumed this place.

as stated in the original post please find me a better quest with as many options

>and such interesting personalities
They actually are I'm glad you agree. Btw it's not just the individual personalities that are better than any bethesda has produced in years, but also how interwoven each character is with the others I was genuinely considering listing out each characters relationship with the others but then realized how hard that would be because of the density of the quest

>the quest can be done in a minute

Honestly this is just further proof of how the gameplay (the weakest part of EVERY elder scrolls) takes a backseat to the stellar writing and characterization. I also enjoy how if you don't give a fuck at all you can finish the quest quickly if you want to, the option is there.

>Almalexia, Vivec, and Sil betray their greatest friend for power
>they all either die or fall from grace hard, Vivec causes the greatest disaster to ever befall the Dunmer people

Was it worth it?

to me I don't really consider the quest as having so many options. it's all rather samey kills. like if you copied and pasted the "lure an NPC to a secluded place" script to any number of NPCs, it all plays out the exact same. that's why I'm not impressed with it.

Rapist Futa Dranei is best playthrough

nope, they could have just done this

>Find deadra cult
>Everyone is missing pants

You cut my eyeballs with them jaggies.

bald dude says this

The Tribunal make significant advances for the Dunmer and maintain Morrowind's independence from Reman and Tiber. Nerevar needed Dwemer's help against the Nord

>tfw i finished morrowind main quest yesterday

do i play bloodmoon or tribunal first?

remember to install mods correctly

...

but the point isn't the gameplay, it's how the characters react to the deaths that happen around them

when the quest starts they all begin quite composed and divulge their opinions of the other guests quite tenderly, but as bodies start to drop they get more paranoid and their opinions get more defined even maniacal in some cases, and this is for EVERY character and ANY order you do the murders in

It's an incredibly dense quest in terms of writing, and you as the player have total control over how the quest plays out, and is the perfectly fitting for the dark brotherhood tonally, because it shows how death can change people from composed, mostly pleasant individuals, into crazed paranoid animals

Tribunal.

I guess I'll concede. But I still wouldn't accept whodunit as a masterpiece quest, because to me, it severely lacks actual gameplay.
And I know, it's Oblivion, the gameplay is rather shit anyway. But The Ultimate Heist was fucking god tier.

And when it's all said and done Vvardenfell was wiped off the map and due to the Red Year most of Morrowind is taken by the Argonians. Great job.

>le "I'm different please accept me oldfags :P"

jesus christ you're just as much a part of it

what the fuck are you doing with your life, user

>Turn corner, find this

Anticipated this response. How does it feel?

Morrowind was not independent from the Empire, Tiber agreed to let Morrowind retain its culture but at the end of the day Morrowind still answered to Tiber Septim.

does anybody actually play the games with sex mods genuinely? why don't you keep vidya and porn separate

...

...

pretty good. It's funny because you're basically me from a year ago, saw morrowind threads that flourished on Sup Forums, my only experience in the elder scrolls was skyrim which I loved to death, so I ended up playing both oblivion and morrowind because I was NEET with literally nothing else to do

we're not so different, you and I
(thread saving bump)

How can Sotha Sil be black? I clearly saw someone state in another thread that he should be a golden chimer like Almalexia and that ESO making him black was wrong. Are you telling me that someone was telling lies on the internet?

No, why the fuck would that be the case?
Sotha Sil lived with the color Azura cursed him with. Almalexia, despite preaching that the ashen skin was a secret blessing because it marked the beginning of a new age for the Dunmer, changed her skin back to the golden Chimer. Vivec chose to bear both skin colors as some poetic message about he and Vehk. Very deep shit, prob'ly. Anyway, Sotha Sil was never vain enough to give a fuck about turning himself gold again.

Yeah, he was wrong as fuck. Seht said the curse was actually a blessing and kept the look because he didn't give a fuck what he looked like, Ayem changed herself back to gold because she was a vain whore, and Vehk made himself a half and half tranny to represent his dual nature.

Thee Gods. One True FARCE.

...

Why did they kill Nerevar? And is the Nerevarine really Nerevar?

Nerevar was a fool who did not believe in the power of the Heart, and how it could lead his people to true prosperity.
The Tribunal did the right thing, for it was they who led their people to a Golden Age.
Nerevar would have only held his people back.

They cut off Nerevars feet so that his reincarnation could walk any path. They cut off his face so that he could be any race. And finally stabbed him with the Muatra so that he could become any gender.

This. ALMSIVI did nothing wrong. Fuck Azura.

>Why did they kill Nerevar?
assuming they did, probably just to harness the power of the heart, which nerevar was against
>And is the Nerevarine really Nerevar?
the nerevarine is a hero, without doubt, but whether he is literally nerevar i think is up to the player, and how much you follow in his footsteps

>stabbed him with the Muatra so that he could become any gender.
>stabing people with deadra dicks

the absolute state of dunmer.

Are Dunmer one of the coolest fantasy races ever created?

maybe not the coolest, but they are definitely one of the most fleshed out cultures of any fantasy race

in my rather shallow recollection of fantasy races that I have come to learn and love
yes

r8 my Nerevarine.

jiub/10

Jiub isn't the Nerevarine

I want you to imagine your Nerevarine at wood elf height with Fargoth's face. Amusing, is it not?

Fuck you it's my OC.

Stand up. There you go.

You were dreaming. What's your name?

my name is dickbutt

rate MY nerevarine

No, don't rate THOSE guys' Nerevarines. Rate MY Nerevarine!

well the Hist aren't really gods, more like companions

edgy old fart/10

>spend 9 hours over four days installing mods
>spend 1 hour playing and then quit

>spend a day and a half installing mods
>spend the next month playing

>spend 0 seconds installing mods
>spend the following years playing

>literally never heard of mods before
>have been playing games since the beginning of time and shall continue forever

tell me about Vehk
why does he stare so

Why does Almalexia still have Chimer skin but Vivec and Sotha Sil hsve Dunmer skin

just ctrl+f skin and you'll find the answers you seek

Why was this important though?

It is lonely to be a god.

hes shitting his pants at the sight of nerevar reborn

reminder that Azura is a twofaced slut and Nerevar was her boytoy

That shit's just an excuse for Bethesda so they won't have to work as hard if they ever decide to revisit Morrowind.
>le everything is destroyed so all the cities are tiny as fuck and also a bunch of them are gone
It's the lame go to excuse bethesda uses for everything in Skyrim.
