>I had a dream of my wife

>But it was alright
What did he mean by this
It means that after the death of another lover, he learned to accept it and move on. Only he didn't move on and drank Kong whiskey everyday for 8 years leading up to Max Payne 3
Max Payne 3 had fuck all to do with Max Payne.
>Max Payne 3
Not canon as far as I'm concerned.
it was mostly the painkiller addiction
Not canon. Especially with Max Payne 2 second ending
What would you guys think of a Max Payne 4 taking place in New York again with Sam Lake as the creative director/writer?
It's raining cats and dogs out here!
Me and the boys been talking and everyone's real sorry. They'll never do it again.
Who is this???
Max hadn't moved on, he just learned to live in the nightmare.
>WHACK 'IM

HOL DIT
I was in a computer game. Funny as hell it was the most horrible thing i could think of.
Dreams are supposed to be absurd and distant from reality, so him dreaming about coming to terms with his wife being dead was a foreign, impossible thought. Hence why the line is so melancholic as opposed to hopeful
What is Remedys next game going to be like?
I would absolutely love it, I really had no issues with 3 except for the setting, bland characters and the walk off in the sunset. The levels in Jersey winter were okay. If Sami would take what 3 did right and make another dark and gritty story it would be the best game of the decade. I also strongly believe that he should kill Max and I have no doubt that if he had written the story for 3 he would have done that.
Agreed. Of all characters that deserve a definitive ending, Max Payne is very high up on that list. I couldn't imagine how he'd be killed off, but I bet it would be amazing if Sam were the one to write it
finished the game, liked it
Its up
Nice, are you planning on playing 2?
Payne
In
The
Butt
played the game when i was like 11 on my older cousin's pc
was telling about what happens to other kids at school and felt cool as fuck
also missed the party of a girl that liked me cuz i was to bored to go and just wanted to finish the game
lul
I dont know
PAYNE
TO
THE
MAX
You're killing me. Did you make that up yourselves, or did you get some wino downstairs to come up with it? Don't answer that, a rhetorical question.
don't answer that, a rhetorical question.
YEAA OH MY GOD OH GOD YA SHOT ME AAAH
Well you definitely should, it's worth at least 1 playthrough
One of the greatest scenes in all of gaming
HEY-A
>this content, and yet pained smile
Poor guy... ;_;
max payne 3 was a good game but they shouldnt have named it that.
VINNIE GAHGNEETIE
There's only one way really.
>Final stand-off moment
>Everything boils down to trying to save this girl/woman who's very important to the general plot.
>The player has to clear the room, which leads into a comic/cinematic of Max killing the main villain (who's attempting to kill the girl/woman at this point) but ends up critically wounded in the process.
>The room is covered with dead bodies and blood.
>Max lying against wall, pressing his wound and grabbing his painkillers
>The girl/woman calls 911 but they both realize help won't get there fast through the warzone Max' created throughout the plot.
>Max is bleeding out, has a moment with the girl/woman
>He tells himself everything is okay since he finally succeeded in exchanging his wretched life for that of a woman. Which he failed to do with his wife, Mona and other women
>Fade to black
>Sirens in the background
>Music starts plays
Either giving Max as possible ending or he might even survive. If they really want to push through:
>After credits sequence
>Scene with woman/girl Max saved is visiting his grave
>(maybe she's pregnant)
Either way, it's gotta be shlocky at the same time.
>Snow fell like ash from post-apocalyptic skies.
I like to tell that myself when it starts to snow.
I bought 1 and 2 on the steam sale. Classics I never get tired of replaying.
I was skipping it because I hated the plot outline, until my brother gifted it to me and promised me that I'd like it, as I was a big fan of Max when younger. He was not wrong, I thought that the story ended being great, but yeah, it could have been anyone else.
Being a huge fan of the first 2, 3 was such a let down.
best part of the game is the fun house and seeing "her"
mona always gave me a boner
>The Brooklyn riverfront was a maze of rusty containers, sharp-boned cranes looming up from the snow storm.
>On a night like this, you couldn't help but to think of the dark army of the dead men, sleeping with the fishes, cement shoes in line.
>No minotaur lurked in this labyrinth, but somewhere out there, on the clanking deck of his cargo freighter, the skipper of Charon was waiting, like a ferryman on the river Styx.
>tfw you'll never be so absolutely assblasted you just start spewing metaphors like it was your dayjob
So, any Poets of the Fall fans in here?
Heard them in alan wake and liked it tbqh. the one song that goes, 'dont cry for your love cry tears of joy".
>We want the red dead redemption audience :^)
Which one of these things is more fun than television? You can only choose one.
>video games
>books
>mirrorS
>youtube.com
Yeah, that's a good song. Seen them live a few times after hearing them in Remedy games and liking them.
This face tho. This stupid goddamn face always makes me lol
>Have no fear
>Vlad is here!
With no time to call back up, my case had a life if its own.
That fucking face, the moment they showed the close up of his face was when I knew this was going to be a fun time.
Is it just me or does the game become really hard over time? I keep having to savescum thanks to how accurate and grenade happy the enemy becomes.
People say that the game adjusts to how good you're playing, i.e. if you're doing well the enemies get harder. I think that's just a lie though.
>grenades
try opening a door and then dodging shotgun to the face
Max Payne 2 is non-canon as far as I'm concerned. If MP3 is an unnecessary sequel then so is MP2.
Loved them up to Revolution Roulette. Albums since then have felt pretty mediocre with maybe couple of decent songs in them.
IS THIS THE PAYNE RESIDENCE?
1>>2
This. We all know Max Payne 1 is the only game that actually matters.
And to be fair Max Payne 2 isn't even a bad game. It's just not as good as the first.
It means his wife's death is ok now because he wets his dick in an infinitely more attractive pussy.
MY LADY?
MY LORD?
This is one of the best noir shooters ever created, with an interesting storyline to boot. Rockstar fucked it up royally..

WHACK DA SUCKA
Surprised to see some people saying Max Payne 2 wasn't as good as 1. It's usually just me.
Found the cuck. Mac Payne 3 had EVERYTHING to do with max Payne
>cuck
Is this 2016? The word you're looking for, gramps, probably has something to do with soy.
found the guy born after 2005
Well I played both 1 and 2 a few days ago and uhh I don't know guys.
MP1 has better writing/dialogue and arguably the gameplay is better.
MP2 has better gfx that look decent even today, more memorable music, better level design, more content (FUCKING TV SHOWS) and parts of the gameplay have been improved but the overall balance and such is a bit of mess.
MP2 should be better overall but it's just way easier to put down than MP1. It's hard to say.
>Max Payne 4 NEVER
After millions years of playing the game, only now , randomly watching a playthrough of the GBA adaptation, did i realise that max was actually full of shit when saying that the cards in the manor kitchen were mant to represent the manor, punchinello and him.
Its the Aesir tower, max and horne
Just one of them things you never notice I suppose.
MAX PAYNE
PAAAYNE
good. max payne 3 was shit just let it die
hope they learned their lesson from trusting the console dev jew
>Max Payne 2 had better level design
My memory is foggy, but let's see - Max Payne 1 was the subway, a bank vault, tenement buildings, a harbour/ship, the exploding restaurant and the Don's mansion, the foundry, the secret labs, the parking lot, the museum/archive, then the Matrix-esque skyscraper. And, of course, the psychedelic dream sequences.
2 had... a hospital, a warehouse, the funhouse, lots of decrepit downtown streets and houses, some expensive apartments, a construction site... then the mansion? And the dream sequences, instead of being horror platformers, were just non-threatening corridor walkers.
I certainly prefer 1's set of levels to 2's. Feels so much less generic.
Sorry cucks, I'm probably older than you and a bigger fan of the originals than you. But I'm also not an autistic underaged faggot. Max Payne 3 is a fantastic videogame both from a gameplay perspective and narrative perspective. People that don't think it fits max don't know max at all. You're like the people that say final fantasy 7 is the best, or that only the first two seasons of LOST are good. You're retarded sheep that just repeat some tired phrase in hopes of acceptance. Well you'll get no acceptance from me, you underaged cucks
>probably older than you
haha sure m8
I wanted to like Poets, but they have like one or two good songs per album, every god damn song is about love and that's just boring. Sometimes you get stuff like Choice Millionaire or Grinder's Blues, but those are exception than the rule. Although Late Goodbye is top tier, that was Sam Lake's poem after all.
Well when you say it like that, MP1 had better levels sure. But what I was talking about was how MP2's maps let you explore a bit and didn't feel like straight lines as much. Although you can say that in a game like this maybe maps being straight lines is the correct choice.
I'm with you on that, at gigs (when seeing them here in the UK, anyway) the crowd responds far better to those kind of songs. They definitely do a best-of repertoire though, so I haven't been disappointed.
Late Goodbye is top tier and my absolute favorite. Waited ten years between hearing it on the game, wondering who the hell these people are and then finally seeing them live. Good feelings.
I miss these edits
>2007
Finished the game, now I feel empty
oh shit
am I
YOU ARE TURNING PEOPLE INTO GLUE
That scene was so kino.
>best game of the series
>non-canon
>Max P4IN
Loved both 1 and 2, played them upon release, never believed 3 would live up to them, is it worth trying?
Yes.
Fucking Rockstar. Turning Max Payne into a stereotypical drunk ex-cop.
Maxine Payne, the strong policewoman who don't need no man
>goes home to dead wife and baby
>Wow, finally free, am I right ladies?
>*queefs*
Would fucking love it. Just ignore 3 ever happened. That wasn't Max Payne, it was his half-brazillian step-brother Dor Máxima.
it's his evil brother, xam enyap
Who knows. I think they need to scale back their projects. They keep biting off more than they can chew and it keeps fucking them. They need that spirit that created Payne and even parts of Alan Wake.
MP3 is disney's star wars equivalent.
